Gîte ‘Le Colvert’ provides affordable but comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people (more is possible), situated in 10 acres of unspoiled countryside and being formerly part of a working farm dating back to around the 17th century.
'Le Colvert' is part of the small 'Le Cormier' holiday complex near to the popular medieval & historical market town of Loches. Situated on the outskirts of the small village of Obterre (has a bar and small shop) on the northern tip of the beautiful ‘Brenne Parc Naturel Regional’, known as the “Land of a Thousand Lakes”. The whole area is simply a wildlife and bird-watchers paradise in this relatively unspoiled area of the Berry / South Touraine area of the Loire Valley.
It is very easy to relax in this tranquil and peaceful setting but with many local attractions to keep you occupied. We are ideally located for the famous chateaux of the Loire, vineyards, churches, museums, Zoos, Futuroscope and, of course, surrounded by sleepy medieval towns and villages. The rolling landscape and quiet roads makes it ideal for cycling and walking enthusiasts alike.
