The location is first rate. The apartment is a couple of minutes’ walk from La Concha beach, five minutes’ walk from the Old Town and close to the La Perla spa, the San Telmo museum, and the aquarium. You should expect some noise at night but I can't see how you can be in a spot like this without the odd disturbance. The apartment's overall set-up is good and there is loads of space. The views to the front are fantastic and, with the living room and kitchen windows open, there is often a wonderful breeze off the sea. The bedrooms are spacious with good bathrooms. However, the bedroom windows face windows opposite which means you need to have the shutters down to keep privacy and therefore the rooms can get uncomfortably hot. At minimum, we could have done with fans but for this price I would have expected air con., at least in the bedrooms. Lesser irritants were the absence of bins, there was only one for the whole apartment; and the TV, which included a rather ancient projector rather than a screen. A conventional, modern TV to which we could hook up laptops would have been good. One which had access to the internet and apps, even better. We're not TV obsessed but when we were in another San Se apartment last year, easy access to Netflix, for example, was a bonus. In summary, address the non-air con. issues, it's probably four stars, add in air con and it's probably five.
