Byggd 1875 på den härliga Jones Street, som heter "den vackraste gatan i Amerika" av Southern Living Magazine, ligger Sycamore Carriage House bakom den jätte Sycamore den får sitt namn från. Med ett sovrum och ett badrum är detta två våningar vagnshus en idealisk romantisk tillflyktsort för två två lyckliga gäster.

Vardagsrummet är en eklektisk blandning av modern och vintage inredning, förankrad av en stor ornamentalhård och lädersoffa. Pentry mikrovågsugn, mini kylskåp med frys, apparater, tallrikar och bestick. Följ spiraltrappen upp till sovrummet, där du hittar en bekväm queen size-säng och dekorativ eldstad. Det egna badrummet har en kakel dusch och piedestal handfat. Titta på solnedgången från din privata balkong innan du går ut på middag på en av Savannahs restauranger i världsklass.

På morgonen kommer en lugn promenad längs kullerstenarna i Jones Street att ta dig till Clary's Cafe, inställningen för flera frukostscener i midnatt i trädgården av gott och ont. Property was perfect for what we were looking for! Difficult to find the entrance when trying to check in with vague information. Delayed reponse when calling about parking situation, but overall the place is cute and cozy and in a great location for a weekend getaway!

Hot nights in Savannah

Convenient location. Difficult to navigate steps to bedroom and bathroom. No coffee. No ice trays. Upstairs AC was worthless. Very uncomfortable, hot sleeping. Entry door ws tricky to open and worse to close.

Great time at Sycamore

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great space in a great location. Almost the entire historic district is within an easy walk. A bit difficult to find initially, the directions provided are okay, but could be more clear. The entrance is located in the middle of the alley (Jones Ln). It appears that the space was recently finished. There are a few minor finish issues that could be addressed. But overall, absolutely amazing.

Inside was cute bare essentials in the kitchen, lots of clean linen. If you have bad knees, the very small spiral staircase is a tight fit, especially carrying up luggage. The air conditioner was noisy and you need to run the 2 fans, one on each floor. Location is OK, wear sneakers! My daughter and I (68 years old) handled the walks! We had a great time in the historical beautiful city of Savannah.

Charming little space

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a charming little carriage house in a safe neighborhood. We walked to any where around historic area. The spiral staircase is narrow. We found out the blankets are missing for downstair sofa bed. We need deal with it ourselves as they can not drop the them until second day. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Weekend Getaway

House and neighborhood were nice. Great location. Walking distance to most restaurants and bars. But we discovered the outside gate never locked. So we did not have to use the code to get into the property. And there was no place to store clothes. A dresser or 2 would have been nice to have. And in the info book in the unit, it told us to fill the dishwasher and start it when we left but there was no dishwasher. And they provided laundry detergent in the house but no washer and dryer. Over all the stay was fine. The spiral staircase was a little scary to navigate but we managed.

Not great

If you like to sweat this is the place for you. The smallest AC to cool the whole place. We even asked someone to come look at it and they said there was nothing they could do since it was blowing cold air. Yes it was an inch away from you but it was not cooling the place down. Being 7 months pregnant we ended up buying an ac unit for upstairs and it clearly said it was 83 degrees inside when we plugged it in. They need to do better and have efficient AC for this home. Still payed for full stay. Do not recommend

Great location!

This property is in a great location within walking distance to so many things. It’s a bit difficult to locate it at first arrival because it’s entered into at the rear but once you figure it out it’s fine. It’s beautiful inside however the stairs are scary and carrying suitcases up is daunting. There are no closets or bars to hang clothes. The TV needs two remotes to operate it and we had to buy batteries for them. One takes AA the other AAA. There’s a third remote (also without batteries) that we couldn’t figure out what what it was for. Beware: The bed in the foldout sofa is awful. I would not suggest renting here if you need two beds. It might be okay for kids but an adult will be miserable sleeping on it. The toilet is nearly impossible to use because it’s crammed into a tiny space. For a short stay this property is great. Anything more than a couple of days and you’ll be cursing the circular staircase.

The location couldn’t be better, within easy walking distance of everything. It sits just behind Jones Street, one of the most beautiful streets in the city. The air conditioning was wonderfully cold, and there were plenty of towels and supplies provided.The only thing to note is the staircase—it looks great and adds to the charm, but if you have any mobility issues or are unusually tall or wide it could be a bit tricky.Overall, I highly recommend this rental!

Loved it!

Absolutely loved this cute and cozy carriage house. It was the perfect balance of antique and modern. It is on the lane behind the main neighborhood road (which really is considered one of the most beautiful streets in the country). Locked gate entrance from the lane into cute (small and private) courtyards backed up together. Felt very comfortable coming and going and walking to and from River St. I would not walk around at night unless in a group or near a touristy area. Loved my trip and would definetly stay here again!!!

Cute place, could be better cleaned under couch and pull out couch

Found clothing, unopened food, and dead bugs under the couch when we went to use the pull out. The pull out was also a bit dirty. Overall awesome staff, TV wasn’t working but they came right out to help. And the place was very cute. Also there was no dishwasher

Beautiful 1800s Carriage Home Review

Overall the stay was great, the place was very cozy and we would stay here again, it was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do or see. I would like to say that the stairway to get to the bedroom was much narrower than anticipated and the railing was a little broken. Also, the fireplace area did leak a lot upstairs which then did leak through the floor into the downstairs during the heavy rainstorm that happened while we were there; it did not bother us, but should be looked at. The bed was very comfortable.

Pretty Good

Aside from not being able to find any trash bags and only being given 3 towels for two people staying 3 days, it was good. Very small place and have to go up and down the stairs a bunch, but overall a nice stay. The neighbors are all really kind and the location is pretty good too.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was a nice size for an individual visiting for a few days. However, the upkeep was disappointing and is noted in the following sentences. The handrail for the stairwell leading upstairs was made of PVC plastic pipe and was duct taped together at the top of the stairwell. The sink in the bathroom had been damaged and was glued back together. The side table by downstairs couch had been replaced with a mini fridge with a lamp sitting on the top of it. The upstairs AC wall unit would shut off randomly so the upstairs would never cool off (sweated the whole time). The toilet started to leak in the middle of the night. I informed the rental company of the issues and they only addressed the leaky toilet. No apologies were given or an offer to relocate me into a different rental. The rental company only stated that they would have someone look into my concerns.

Spiral Stairs

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was ideal. However, we encountered challenges upon arriving late in the evening, particularly with finding parking. The space appeared smaller than anticipated, and I was unaware that the only access to the upstairs was via spiral stairs. Both the bedroom and bathroom were located upstairs. Unfortunately, neither of the air conditioning units effectively cooled the space. Additionally, I noticed several moths, but I was unsure of their point of origin.
