Puget Cottage

This is the perfect little cottage for two people. It was quiet and peaceful. My husband and I had a relaxing time and our hosts were delightful. The little kitchenette was perfect! It's a nice little jaunt down to the beach from the cottage and you have the best view of Mount Olympic. I couldn't have found a better place to stay, it was honestly just what we needed.

Anniversary Trip

This was an amazingly perfect place to stay! We loved the walk down to the beach, which was covered in sand dollars and purple shells. The bed was comfortable, and everything we needed was easy to find. It was a very well-thought out little cottage, and will will happily stay here again in the future.

Silent Serenity!

My wife and I have family in the area so this was a perfect location to have our little place of paradise. We were blessed with both beautiful views and wonderful hospitality from Dick and Barbara. Barbara and Dick welcomed us with a clean and organized atmosphere. With attention to details and added amenities like the continental breakfast on the first morning. Our grand kids came for a visit and had a wonderful time on the beachfront! Thank you Dick and Barbara for being apart of our weekend getaway!

Beautiful Retreat

We spent two nights in this wonderful cottage. It’s a very nice, well maintained and charming place. The hike down to the beach and along the coast was nice. We didn’t kayak because of the wind and tide times, but that is a nice option.

A wonderful place to stay!

I recently stayed at the cottage on a vacation with my family. It is such a wonderful place to stay. So clean and comfortable. It is in a great location to take day trips to some of the wonderful parks nearby. We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful cottage and relaxing weekend

Barbara and Dick were great hosts, very communicative and accommodating. The property itself is gorgeous and has a wonderful view right out the living room window. We had a fantastic long weekend and would absolutely consider coming back :)

Serene waterfront view of southern Puget Sound

Upon arriving we were taken aback at how enchanting and peaceful the garden and cottage are at Puget View. The small cottage was perfect for the two of us. The hosts communicated proactively and included details that added a special touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay.

Perfect get away!

My sister and I met at this central location for a long overdue visit. It was perfect!! The pull-out couch was as comfortable as a "real" bed. The views were wonderful and the outdoor opportunities were plentiful! I would like to come again with my honey!!

Quaint, quiet little beachside cottage with incredible view!

We felt so blessed to spend the entire month of August at Puget View. We not only had a great view of the Puget inlet but could also see the Olympic Mountains. It was also wonderfully quiet. Many days, we passed on touristy activities just to soak in the peaceful setting. A great place for a couple or a close, small family to get away from it all. Barb and Dick were also wonderful hosts. Highly recommended!

Perfect Getaway

This is an incredibly special place for a peaceful, quiet getaway. Even though it rained pretty much the entire time we were there, it didn't detract from the beauty and peace all around us! And we even got a long enough break in the rain one day to take the kayaks out for a bit. The cottage is carefully cultivated to provide everything you could need, with so many cute touches and details. We absolutely want to come back, and will recommend it to friends!

Our wedding was in the front yard of this property in 1980. We have offered Puget View Cottage for many years, initially as a bed and breakfast, and as a vacation rental for about eight years. We have met many wonderful people from around the world, and look forward to adding you to our list of former guests.

During 2012 and '13 we traveled overseas, completing long distance hikes we had long dreamed of doing---the Coast to Coast Trail in England, West Highland Way, The Camino across northern Spain, Walker's Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt, Kilimanjaro and a safari (and two months of volunteering in the Burundi :) Two months in the hinterlands of Nepal, a summit of Fuji in Japan, and JMT and Whitney in California---whew! In 2014 we completed our final leg of the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington.

We look forward to sharing the magic of this peaceful, beautiful part of the world--with you!

Dick is from Oregon, Barb from Alaska. We met here, never dreaming we would stay this long, but why would we want to live anywhere else? Especially when Barb says 'this is like Alaska, but you don't need a float plane to enjoy it.'

Even after so many years, we continue to be inspired daily by the up-close fly-by of an eagle, the majesty of a summer sunset, or the mystery of fog silently lifting. It's easy to be overwhelmed with gratitude in the midst of such a glorious setting---the spirit of this place.
