Denna OCEANFRONT-skönhet är vackert möblerad och redo för din ankomst! Njut av havbrisen, lyssna på vågorna kraschar och titta på delfiner som trollar i bränningen när du smuttrar på morgonkaffe eller kvällscoctail på ett av tre däck vid havet. Bara en kort promenad nerför gångvägen och du är i sanden!

Nytt för 2018: fullsängkläder med veckohyra - inga sängar!

"Sun" är den norra enheten för denna enkelägare duplex. Den rymliga uppfarten erbjuder gott om parkering - det finns till och med plats för dig att parkera din båt. Gå in från carporten på markplan. Denna ingångsnivå husar "Alkoven" med en bekväm drottningssäng och 32 "smart" TV med Netflix. Speciellt populärt bland tonåringar men tillräckligt bekvämt för vuxna!

En berättelse är det viktigaste vardagsrummet inklusive ett vardagsrum med 60-tums platt "smart" TV (inklusive Netflix) och massor av bekväma sittplatser. Matsalen har ett bord med plats för 8 och det välfyllda köket har bänkskivor i granit och en bar med 3 barstolar. Det finns ett halvt badrum på denna våning och, viktigast av allt, ett havsdäck utanför vardagsrummet med ett matbord för 6 och gångvägen till stranden!

Den översta våningen har en master svit vid havet med en king size-säng, platt-TV "smart" TV (inklusive Netflix) och privat badrum med dusch. En dörr från korridoren leder till den andra berättelsen täckta däck och upp till taket däck för bästa utsikten över havet om dagen, stjärnor på natten. Detta är en fantastisk plats att fånga solnedgången och för att stirra på natten!

De andra två sovrummen finns också på denna nivå. Sovrum 2 har en queen size-säng och platt-TV "smart" TV. Det tredje sovrummet, eller "Bunk Room", är perfekt för barnen med två uppsättningar våningssängar och en "smart" TV med platt skärm. Det finns ett badrum i korridoren som serverar dessa två sovrum med badkar / dusch.

Andra fantastiska funktioner inkluderar en gasgrill (belägen i carport) för att grilla färsk lokal skaldjur eller biffar. Det finns en sluten utomhus varm / kall dusch i carporten - alltid kul att duscha utomhus! Det finns också en slang i slutet av strandvägen för att skölja bort sanden på din väg från en dag som kopplar av och leker på stranden. Det finns spel, böcker och nya tidskrifter också för din njutning.

'Crowded' är inte en del av vårt ordförråd på den här delen av North Topsail Beach. Det finns gott om utrymme för din familj att sprida ut stolar och filtar, spela majshål, bocci boll eller paddelboll, kasta fotboll eller frisbee och spela dina favoritstrandmusiker, utan att störa eller störas av andra. Vila lätt när barnen leker i bränningen, skyddade av en sandstång ca 30-40 meter ut, eller i tidvattenbassänger som kan dyka upp sent på dagen. Njut av bra surffiske runt stolparna på en tidigare pir norr om huset eller surfa och boogie ombord på vågorna. Sammantaget en perfekt plats att koppla av och njuta av de långa sommardagarna. Och på sommaren menar vi maj till oktober, åtminstone!

Our stay at "Up on the Roof - Sun" was amazing! Just as advertised, this property is the perfect beach home away from home. With more than enough room for a family of up to 8-10 people, we found it ideal for our group of 4 (plus two fur-babies)! The multiple deck areas were great for watching beautiful morning sunrises, midday lunch breaks, late afternoon book reading, and cocktails in the evening. The beach/ocean was literally steps away, making it so much easier to get down and back to the house if needed during the day. The roof deck was spectacular - breathtaking views of the beach. Given our stay was in mid-August, the beach was far less crowded than in previous weeks of summer, which was very nice. The hosts were fantastic, and the communications with them were always pleasant and helpful. We had a wonderful time on our trip to N. Topsail, and it was made even more memorable thanks to our stay at "Up on the Roof - Sun!!"

Wonderful beach access and views!

Beautiful views of the ocean from back porches and also inlet and ocean view from the roof top! Very clean and great and timely communication with property manager. Kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. Will be back!

Perfect Beach Week

We had a wonderful stay at Up on the Roof! The house was perfect for our needs and the location can’t be beat. We especially loved the sandbar at low tide and tide pools in the evenings, helping us max out our hours on the beach. Amy was super accessible and helpful during our stay.

A place for great memories

From the moment of arrival, a sense of relaxation came upon us knowing we would be staying at a place that will accommodate our every need. The property overlooks the ocean and has plenty of space for relaxation. It's very convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, and places to enjoy a day of fun. What a Great Place!

What an amazing place to stay! It was the perfect size for the whole family. The top deck was a wonderful place to sit and have our tea and coffee in the mornings while trying to spot dolphins. The location was a convenient 10 minute drive to grocery and souvenir stores. It was clean and well kept. I would have liked more storage in the kitchen to place all our food for the week, but we made it work! Being able to take our dog with us was an added bonus. If this is your first time going to Topsail you MUST go to the Topsail Trading Company and get some homemade fudge….it is amazing and they have so many flavors to try! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will see you next year!

Relaxing oceanfront stay

This is a nice house and pet friendly which was important to us. The kitchen is well equipped. Only negatives were the view from the main living level looks at the dunes and you can barely see the water. However, the second floor deck off the master has a great view as well as the roof top. Also, there is no DVD player and we had brought movies to watch. You can get some movies through the owner's netflix but we found that limiting. Overall, a reasonable week.

Favorite stay so far

This house was GREAT! It was so clean and the furniture was nice and clean too. We weren’t afraid to sit on the furniture, as with some houses in the past! The walk to the beach was short and easy. Close enough to make multiple trips back to the house for supplies, potty breaks, extra drinks, beach gear, etc. The location is great! The beach wasn’t crowded, even at the public beach/parking area a quarter mile down! It’s a short and easy drive to Surf City where all the shops and restaurants are. The decks were by far our favorite part of the house, though! We LOVE sitting and watching the waves crash or looking for dolphins and this house has the PERFECT decks for that! Amy was super responsive and accommodating to our needs. We will definitely be back!

Great topsail getaway

Our family of 5 loved the space and updated finishes of the ‘sun’ unit. Two covered decks were a big plus and somewhat unique amongst topsail properties. We loved enjoying coffee and the gorgeous ocean views from the top deck in the am, and catching a break from the sun in the afternoons on the lower deck with our book. Kitchen had all we needed to pull together meals when we weren’t enjoying carry out from a few local places in nearby surf city. Beach was awesome - not too crowded and every housegoer kept to the section in front of their property. The unit is a duplex - our neighbors were super friendly but large group could be loud sometimes when they were in the kitchen near the pass-through door. Amy was great to work with. Overall a great place and can’t wait to return for another visit in the future.

Not quite as expected

Start off with the good - the beach is in the backyard, and that’s about it. Be prepared to make your own beds on check in, we asked where are all the sheets? Owner comment, “oh due to the pandemic, we aren’t making any beds, linens are in a bag by the door”. Ok… been to 20 + vacation rentals in the post-pandemic era, and this is a first. Should get a discount on the cleaning fee if I’m also a housekeeper. This is a duplex, with neighbors only a small 2 way door apart, as in adjoining hotel rooms. Our neighbors were partying hard with a large group late into the night. We told the owner, who said they would say something, but nothing changed, doubt they reached out to the other renter. Few other little issues, always an excuse from the owner. Never took responsibility for anything. Very heavy storm one day while we were there, woke up in the morning to discover the roof leaked all night right into my wife’s suitcase. Full of water. That was our last straw and we left a day early. Notified the owner of the leak, and another excuse, no apology. We were offered a credit to come back, not that we would anyways. Never received the credit, tried to follow up with the owner but never a reply. Filed a complaint with VRBO. Do yourself a favor and find anything else to rent while visiting the area.

We appreciate this guest’s feedback and are delighted that he enjoyed the beautiful oceanfront location of our home. This guest began expressing dissatisfaction prior to arrival when he discovered a rainy forecast for his holiday weekend reservation. While we sympathize with his desire for better weather, we established our cancellation policies to ensure fairness to all our guests and to protect our business. A few days prior to arrival, this guest requested an exception due to the rainy forecast. We emphasized our cancellation policy, which he accepted, and recommendation to purchase trip insurance, which he declined when making the reservation. He continued to demand that we make an exception for him. We would like to emphasize that we cannot be coerced into providing refunds or exceptions to our stated policies under the threat of a negative review. While we appreciate all feedback, we have numerous rave reviews that demonstrate the positive experiences of 99% of our guests. To accommodate this guest and maximize his enjoyment of better weather, we offered an early check-in and late check-out. While he took advantage of the early check-in, he mentioned having to leave early on the check-out day for an appointment, and was unable to utilize the extension we offered. We would like to clarify that we provide all necessary linens, as clearly stated in the pre-arrival information. Despite exhaustive communication with this guest, he didn’t report a leak until after departure. It is crucial to report such issues during the stay for prompt resolution. An inspection by our crew and contractor revealed no evidence of a leak. As a duplex property, one wall is shared with the neighboring guests. However, the 6-inch concrete construction of the home greatly reduces noise transfer, except through the adjoining doors between the kitchens. We have established quiet hours for the benefit of all guests, and the neighboring guests adhered to these hours. In fact, those guests had no complaints at all and submitted a positive review.

Horrible Experience

Our experience with this property and the hosts was difficult to say the least. First night, we found a live giant cockroach the size of a key fob in the first floor bed under the sheets. That person slept on the couch that evening and no one slept on that bed our entire stay even after the owners sent out a bug sprayer. The fridge leaks water leaving a large puddle in front every morning to clean up so kids don’t slip and fall. The pictures of the property are old and deceiving. The pictures show all beds are made with sheets already on and towels next to the beds. In reality, all bed sheets and towels are in a bag on the bottom floor so all beds have to be made yourself. The pictures also show three rocking chairs outside. Instead there was only one functional rocking chair and another one was missing the seat. No third one. One night and the following day we had heavy rain. We found out the roof leaks badly. Water leaked in two bedrooms, a hallway, down the wall of the stairs, and from the kitchen ceiling onto the kitchen island. We had pots catching water and spent the day mopping up water which continued leaking all day to prevent anyone from slipping and just trying to prevent unnecessary damage to the house. At closer inspection, the house leaked several times before. There’s water stains on the kitchen ceiling and baseboard trim in some bedrooms. We contacted the owners about the leak. They sent a roofer out and couldn’t find the source of the leaks. The owner Greg came out and was very rude. His entire focus was on the property instead of our experience. No thank you for helping with the water leaks and only a quick apology for the inconvenience as he was going up the stairs to look at the leaks. He vacuumed up some water, plugged in a fan, and a moldy smelling dehumidifier in the bedroom. We asked for a partial refund from the owners first in writing, then again verbally, then again in writing and each time they’ve deflected from giving us a definitive answer. We never would have stayed in this property if we knew what we were getting into. It’s been over 3 days and still the owners refuse to advise whether they are willing to give a partial refund or not. Choose a different host.

We own and rent seven oceanfront homes and this is the home we choose to stay in when we are at the beach. If anything it is better than represented in the pictures - having newly renovated bathrooms that aren’t even shown currently and plenty of comfortable outdoor seating on the decks. You can read all our other 5 star reviews to see our other guests’ positive experiences. We have never had a guest like this. This guest was a problem from the outset, not paying the rent on time. We chose to work with them on payment timeframe to enable them to keep their reservation. When we had severe storms during their visit - 10” of rain and high winds - that caused a very small amount of water to come into the house, they went on the attack. We offered to send our cleaning crew to clean up. The guests declined our offer and were rude and on the attack when we arrived at the house to help. Despite our prompt, polite and professional response, they demanded a refund and then didn’t follow checkout procedures resulting in significant issues for our crew turning over the property for the next guests (who, by the way, gave a 5 star review). When we told them this may impact their security deposit, they promised a negative review, even after emailing us to say that they recognized the issue was out of our control and we did everything possible to resolve it in a timely manner. The bottom line is they spent their whole week, and their time since departure, focused on getting money back instead of enjoying their week at the beach.

The rooftop deck sold us on this house and the rest was icing on the cake. We had a group of 10 and fit just right, including one of our dogs who got to come on this trip with us. The furniture was very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. I loved walking out with our dog early before sunrise for a walk on the beach right out the back door. Highly recommend this house.

It’s wonderful to hear your group of 10 (plus your dog!) fit perfectly, the furniture was super comfy, the kitchen was well equipped, and you loved those early sunrise walks right out the back door onto the beach.

Everything was perfect!

We have been coming to Topsail for over 30 years so needless to say, it’s a special place to us…like a second home! Up on the Roof was a wonderful place to stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Clean and everything was as described. It was no problem but we could hear the other guests thru the shared door but it wasn’t an issue. Check in was easy and linens arrived. No hesitation in recommending this home.
