Söt, mysiga och glad ... detta lilla ranch hus på en lugn gata i den pittoreska fiskebyn Wenona, är ett litet samhälle på den södra spetsen av Deal Island där crabbing och oystering är ett sätt att leva ett perfekt och lugn semester reträtt. Eventhough vatten uppfattning är från bara ett fönster i huset, vad detta betyder är att du är mycket nära till vatten ... bara några minuter från en offentlig båt ramp! Denna lilla huset bor stor och trevlig med sin nyligen ombyggda kök erbjuder gott om plats på bänken, massor av stora fönster och starkt ljus, och färsk färg hela. Vi har alltså haft detta hem och hoppas att du kommer också med din nästa besök i Deal Island.

Warm and Welcoming As Always!

This is our second time staying for a girl’s getaway. The house is so homey and welcoming and extremely clean! The area is so peaceful and quiet. Will definitely be staying again!

Little House in Wenona

I absolutely love this property. It is filled with everything you need for any length of stay. I always bring my GSD - she loves going for walks and seeing all of the wildlife.

Very Welcoming Excellent Location Home!

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this house is definitely the one to rent! You are surrounded by beauty and it is extremely quiet. You are a short walk away from viewing the water and a very short drive away from the little beach. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and seeing all the sights. We especially enjoyed walking through the very old cemeteries as we are both into history. We also took a driving tour around the island and stopped at a few places around the island to enjoy the view. The home is VERY welcoming. As soon as I walked in, I felt right at home and relaxed. The owners have stocked the house very well with all the little odds and ends you may need. Will most definitely stay here again! Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Great time on Deal Island

We were going to Deal Island to visit some family. While there we did some fishing and crabbing. We had a fantastic time on the Island and are looking forward to our next visit. We will tell all of our extended family to stay in the cozy cottage. Thanks again!!

Quiet and cozy

Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. The skipjacks were showing up for the races when we were there and the small beach was a beautiful place to watch the sunset. Got to see the sika deer the first night there and it was overall a very comfortable place to stay.

Wonderful stay in a cute little cottage off the beaten path

Staying in Wenona was a great getaway. The house was exactly as it was depicted in the listing, and there were so many amenities both in the house and in the shed to make the stay very enjoyable. The one surprise I had was that I didn’t realize I would need to put sheets on the bed when I got there. The bed was made up with the comforter and pillows, so when I got ready to go to sleep, it was a little confusing to realize that I had to make the bed before climbing in. Otherwise, everything else was perfect and it was a great week on Deal Island!

Very Cozy

We enjoyed the stay very much. The home is in a quiet area and close to the little beach. The use of items in the shed for fishing/crabbing was very helpful. The only downfall we had was the front door, in the afternoon the door gets so hot we had to use towels to touch the handles and the door itself without being burned. I got a small burn on my elbow from touching the door.

Peace and quiet

This is an excellent property in an excellent location. The house is immaculate. Such a cute house and loaded with everything you would need for a short or long visit. There’s plenty of yard and a quiet street for walking your fur babies. My GSD loved the 12 geese that visited daily and the deers, too.

Peaceful Getaway!

My husband and I were staying in the area to help our son & daughter-in-law with some projects. This sweet cottage was the perfect place to stay! The house was so clean and welcoming - had everything we needed and was in a peaceful, quiet spot. We could see the water from the deck and we slept so well! We look forward to returning and spending a week hopefully soon! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us!

STARS!

I've lived in the city for a number of years now and I forgotten how many stars there are! The night sky was absolutely beautiful. The house was comfy, plenty of room and spotless. The neighborhood was quiet, very walkable, near a small harbor. I'll definitely again when I can.

Seclusion peace tranquility

I wanted low key away from the hustle and bustle, vacation and this house was in the perfect setting! It felt like home! Had all the amenities needed for a family. House was clean, spacious yard for our dogs as well . With an hour or so ride to OC the girls had some fun as well. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your home!

Exactly as Advertised

If you are looking for a quiet location far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living, this might be just the place for you! This quiet little cottage is at the far end of Deal Island, surrounded by the bounties of Mother Nature, to include a multitude of birds, plants, and animals. The house is clean and very well stocked. One caveat……don’t forget your bug spray!

Restorative getaway

The little house in Wenona was the perfect place for me to “disappear” for a couple days an clear my head. I loved being “off the grid” and away from everything. My dog and I had some great walks and saw lots of history and wildlife. We will definitely be back in the very near future for another quick reprieve. Thank you Mary! You have.
