Don't stay at Sofia Torres property.

Owner switches property on us at the last minute. Carpet was filthy. Vacuum didn't work. Dishwasher was clogged with old soap. Found dirty dishes in cupboard.

Needs cleaning

The location of the property was great for our needs. However the property needs a good cleaning. There were cobwebs everywhere, a toliet paper holder was falling off of the wall, lightbulbs were out in several places. Also clearer directions for finding the specific condo in the dark would have been very helpful.

Arizona rental

Upon finding the property, we had difficulty getting the lock box open to obtain the key. Even an upstairs neighbor who happened to walk by tried to help us and eventually succeeded in getting the box opened. After we entered, we found a hole in the wall by the front door, the toilet paper holder pulled out of the wall in the master bath and we found the closet door in a guest bedroom off the track. Additionally, we discovered in the master bath standing water in the vanity as a result of the drain being disconnected. It appeared that the pipes had rusted through. Despite these inconveniences, we enjoyed the location of the place as it was convenient to where we had to go to visit family in the immediate area and for us to attend a family wedding. We did have communication with the property owner but it took a day or two for her to respond. As the property is in a gated community, we were ignorant as to the key fob and had to ask the gardener to find out how to open the gate after hours. Overall we found our time and accommodations to be satisfactory.

Great location, needs deep cleaning

Pros: 1. Great location, beautiful water views, walk to local parks, restaurants and grocery. 2. Nice heated pools, small gym and tennis courts available. 3. Nice neighbors, people in Arizona are friendly, will almost always say hi to you! 4. Kitchen is adequate for cooking. Has plenty of new pots, pans and dishes. Cons: 1. The previous tenants smoked in the unit. The master bedroom and the living room had a strong smoke smell for our entire stay. When we complained they dropped off plug in air fresheners and changed all the linens but that didn’t help because the smoke smell is in the paint and furniture. 2. Overall cleanliness is poor, it needs a deep clean and fresh paint. It really feels like staying in a dingy, smoky hotel room. 3. The master bedroom is missing part of the panels of the curtain and won’t open. 4. No overhead lights (lamp only) in 2 other bedrooms, one is especially dark. 5. Host would sometimes not respond for 2 days and I’d have to follow up. 6. Keirig machine broke and was not replaced while we were there. 7. Front door does not close very well, you have to slam it shut otherwise it will not be securely locked. 8. Dining room chairs uncomfortable and legs need to be tightened with Allen wrench. 9. Dishwasher is rusted throughout and does not work efficiently. 10. Washer and dryer work but super load only fills up half way. Not all the settings work, the dials are off. 11. Bathtubs have mildew and need recaulking. 12. Oven handle was busted off when we arrived, was fixed more than a week into our stay.

Christmas In Condo

My kids and I were staying in the condo while our house was being remodeled... during Christmas!! We enjoyed ourselves and the beautiful lake view... we enjoyed cooking, going to pool and hot tub!! We decorated our tree and had a beautiful Christmas with loads of Fun... Sofia the owner was awesome and helpful to make our stay lovely 😊

Great location, beautiful views, nice size condo.

The lakeside views were beautiful and the area and location convenient to all stores, food and activities. The condo was a nice size and had most of what we needed for the week. The host was nice and good about giving us all the details we needed for our stay. The only complaint would be the smell of cigarettes throughout the condo, probably from a neighbor nearby. We bought some febreze to mask the smell. The condo was in good shape, overall, a couple normal wear and tear items. The laundry worked fine and the rooms were decent. There was wifi and cable. They provided towels and kitchen utensils for our stay. Overall, nice place.

she did not have a key phob to enter the gate!!

The place was not very clean it had holes in the ceiling , bedding was not that clean and I didn't have key phob to access the gate to the property I had to sit and wait to enter the gate every night not cool.

Good location, decent accommodations.

The location is great due to many nearby restaurants/retailers and quick freeway access. (If you like Mexican food Valle Luna is right across the lake and is tough to beat). It was nice to have a 3 bedroom with full kitchen and sitting area. The beds were comfortable and neighbors quiet. The overall condition of the unit was ok and met our needs, especially with the relatively low price. Owner Sonya responded quickly to all of our messages/inquiries. The only big issue we encountered was the strong smell of cigarettes inside the unit which was a bit overwhelming. We informed owner Sonya who assured us it was a non-smoking unit and she had plug-in air fresheners delivered same-day, but unfortunately they had no effect and the smell was with us the entire week-long stay. If they can get rid of that smell we would consider staying there again.

Great Location for Golf Trip

Everything was very good for most part with the unit and is nice location for golfers who want to travel in all directions in the Phoenix area for similar length drives to most golf courses. Our group for eight days of golf mainly to golf courses in the Scottsdale area along with one course in Mesa and Southern Dunes in Maricopa, AZ. Most every drive was 30 minutes or less from this condo's location in Chandler off Ray Road and the 101 freeway so very centrally located if your main focus of the vacation is golf. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby so you don't have to go far either if you are wanting to go out near the condo or hang at the pool & jacuzzi at the gated community. We only really spent the mornings there as had golf every afternoon to get better golf rates and ate dinner on way home so didn't get back to the condo until 8:30 - 9:00 PM most every night. Just enough time to shower and wind down a bit B4 getting some sleep for the next day. Each of the 3 of us in our golf party each had their own bedroom and the area around us seemed pretty quiet for condo units near so pretty quiet overall for sleeping and didn't hear much so didn't need any earplugs at all to sleep soundly. The unit had everything we needed for most part and great shower pressure in the 2 bathrooms. We did have an issue with the dryer that didn't work for first 4 or so days of our 7 days in the unit as the dryer dial and switch had to be replaced but the unit owners did get a technician in to repair this and we were able to use the dryer the last 2 nights of our stay. The washer did work so we were able to wash clothes in the early part of the week and had to air dry them so got by but this was rather big factor for us to rent the VRBO for the week so we could pack less clothes for the trip and do wash several times. Owner did best to get this repair done asap once we notified her though! I think the other thing that the owner should consider doing when comparing this stay to one we had the previous year in would be to leave easy to find and detailed instructions with WIFI name and password rather than trying to find on the router along with the Cable TV/Apple TV/Netflix options in the living room as we never could figure out how to operate this as we only found limited Cable TV options with no sports channels. I got Netflix in the master BR working as there was a guest ID choice easy to find but not living room. All in all though our stay was very good!

Just the perfect place!

We rented the condo for family visiting from CA and we could not have been more pleased. Everything was pristine, tastefully furnished, great location, and the lake right outside the door. It's equipped with a grilling area outside and offers covered parking. Another plus is it is within walking distance to a coffee shop, grocery stores, and restaurants. We will definitely rent it again when we have east coast visitors, too!

Nice Condo on the Lake

We enjoyed our stay in this nice condo this winter. Your front door faces the lake. There are paths around the lake to walk, a nice pool with spa and a small workout center. There are a few restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery store. Sofia was available for any questions that we had.

Beautiful condo. The best location in Lakeshore.

I loved this condo. I believe we were the first one to rent it. New furniture, carpets and blinds. Very nice furniture. It is located in a ground floor with great lake views from ouside and inside the property. I enjoyed walking around the lake every day and my grandson loved the ducks during his visit. Sofia and Carlos were very nice and helpful with our questions. I recommend this property and would like to stay here again next year. Thank you!,
