Just the home you need for holiday

A very nice place to stay

We had a great stay, the weather was good and the access to the beach was a short safe walk. The children loved it.The only thing we were disappointed with was we didn't know the coffee machine required pods and we were a fair distance from a shop. Maybe it could be mentioned in the description and the lack of egg cups too.

Family rock climbing and beach trip

The property is conveniently located near the beach for both beach and water activities as well as for rock climbing. The Roost had an excellent set up for our family;everyone had adequate bedroom space and the common area was comfortable and spacious with a large dining table and an adequate kitchen. We were able to borrow some items from the shed for use at the beach. The back yard was large and flat… perfect for children. Unfortunately, we did not use the deck, but it looks like a very place to enjoy an evening meal or a beverage before or after dinner. Our host, Ernie, was responsive to questions in a timely manner. We definitely benefited from the on-site washer and dryer. We appreciated having laundry detergent, dishwashing liquids and tablets, space heaters, extra blankets, hair dryers, etc, all available for our use. We would highly recommend the roost, and would love to return for a future visit.

Excellent family bach

Great instructions to get there. Excellent beach just round the corner. We swam and bodyboarded every day, rain or not, it was so warm. House perfect for our needs-enclosed deck, great back lawn. Everything pristine anf new. Had a lovely time

Just what we needed

For the adults and small children in our group there was plenty to occupy us on our stay. There is a big garden with children's outdoor toys, well-equipped kitchen, and space for privacy with 3 bedrooms. We saw sea-lions and little blue penguins on the nearby beach, just a short walk away. The host was quick to respond to my queries, for which I am very grateful.

Relaxing holiday getaway

The property was even nicer than the pictures showed. It's extremely well equipped and comfortable. It was lovely to wake up to birdsong and the sound of waves. Great communication with the owner too made everything a breeze.

Awesome spot

A lovely house well set out and equipped. Long bay is a beautiful beach and great for swimming and surfing. The communication with the owner was prompt, helpful and easy.

Family holiday

Long beach is a lovely secluded beach area north of Dunedin with spectacular views on the way. An extremely windy route so take ginger in the car for sickness. The Bach was new, clean, well presented, perfectly laid out, very comfortable, lovely large open living plan with perfect bedrooms, laundry and bathrooms. A terrific place that was so nice to stay in and enjoy. It had everything we needed and it was in excellent condition. Loved it.
