Coulter Farmstead - Old Washington Farm Stay -175 Yr Old Historic Cabin

Kom och ta ett steg tillbaka i tiden och koppla av i vår 175 år gamla timmerstuga. Det är en autentisk historisk struktur med extra moderna bekvämligheter. Oavsett om det är en lugn kväll på verandan, ett dopp i poolen på natten under stjärnorna, eller kaffe med djuren, kommer du säkert att njuta av din vistelse på vår gård när du upplever livet i en stuga som det kan ha varit i tidigt 1800-tal. Vår historiska stuga kan sova 4 bekvämt. Det finns 2 sängar i full storlek (kom ihåg folkens, de stora sängarna fanns inte då), men våra är bekväma! Sovarrangemanget är en säng i huvudområdet i kabinen och en säng på loftet (som nås via en stege). Stugan har ett fullt utrustat kök och pittoreska badrum med en gammal klo fot badkar och en period badarmatur (handhållen - duschar existerade inte då). Som gäst på vår gård, känn dig fri att vandra runt. Hela gården är din. Du kan njuta av poolen när som helst, blanda dig med djuren eller koppla av på verandan till din stuga.

Weekend get away

We spent the weekend here while visiting the jonquil festival. It was PERFECT! It was exactly like the pictures. The cabin was amazing, as was the whole farm. The owners were above and beyond helpful and kind. The beds comfy, breakfast was delicious, and grounds well manicured! We brought our dog and he was welcomed as well! It was peaceful and quiet. We loved all the farm animals. We will definitely be back and can’t recommend this place enough if this visiting the area.

Overnight stay

Farm Living

My family and our good friends stayed 2 nights at the Coulter Farmstead. The farm is so nice and it was fun to explore! They have a really cute mini Highland bull and a small herd of mini cattle. There are also goats, 2 pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. It was really nice to drink coffee on the porch in the mornings and watch the animals. The proprietors are very nice and attentive. It was a very nice quiet place to relax. There is also a creek on their property. I wished we could have stayed one more day just to explore the creek and check out the history of Washington, Arkansas more. If you want a quiet rural stay, and enjoy Civil War history, this is a great place to stay.

A piece of heaven

We really enjoyed our stay in Washington. It was a beautiful place, quiet and even had fireflies which I have not seen since I was a child. Would recommend for any occasion. If we ever head this way again we will definitely stay with the farm.

Weekend getaway

The stay was great! We were in the middle of all the fun historic sites we wanted to see, the facilities were as advertised and the hosts were friendly and accommodating! The boys played board games and croquet, even with great WiFi!

This is one of my favorite places I have visited in the past few years. If you are looking for quiet and quaint this is definitely the place. My wife enjoyed feeding the animals, and the breakfast is definitely worth getting!

Girls weekend

We enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend. The pool and mercantile were awesome and we enjoyed the farm animals as well. Hosts were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Highly recommend!

The hosts were amazing. Gave a great tip on stopping at Buc ees for a bbq sandwich - amazing. Room took you back in time though upgraded with current amenities. Over all a wonderful experience.

Nice old cabin on family farm

We had a great time here. Justice was cool & the pool was refreshing. Lots of friendly animals on site. Great country setting. A train parked behind our cabin for the night with engines running, but it really was not an issue.

Relaxing and Peaceful

Beautiful place for a low key get away. Our cabin was wonderful, I especially loved that I could open the top of the dutch door in the kitchen while I cooked, and watch the kids explore and play "forest parkour". The breakfast that our host provided was delicious. This is defiantly a great place to reset from city life and relax in the verdant splendor.

Coulter Farmstead Experience

Spent a romantic weekend in a rustic cabin at Coulter Farmstead, and we’ve couldn’t have had a better experience. Our host even baked us a tasty farm fresh breakfast that added such a wonderful touch to our stay. We hope to come back with our daughter in warmer weather to experience the farm animals and swimming in the near future! It’s wonderful to have such a special place so close to home!

Nostalgia and Comfort

Our family had such a lovely stay at the Coulter Farmstead. It was truly beautiful, and well maintained. Our children couldn't say what they loved more, the pool, visiting with the animals, or pretending we were the Ingalls family in our cozy, historic, and well appointed 175 year old cabin! I, personally enjoyed a soak in the large bathtub after the kiddoes climbed up and went to sleep in the loft.

This place is absolutely amazing.

I was born, raised and live in San Diego, California. I traveled to Hempstead county with family to do some genealogy research. This was our second trip to Arkansas our first trip being last year; finding this place was a TRUE blessing. The hotels out there are slim pickings and not the best. Our stay on the farm was absolutely amazing. The grounds and cabins are well kept and super cozy. Brad was a wonderful host and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. I also enjoyed talking to the girls who work on the farm Sunshine and Peggy. They were very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely come back here JUST to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I am already planning our next stay here with family. Possibly a family reunion. Thank you Brad for the wonderful hospitality and for bringing this farm to life! I can’t wait to share my experience here with my family and friends.

Excellent! Owner very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable of the history to the place! Price friendly!

This was a hidden gym , we had a quiet weekend getaway to the historic town of Washington AR at an awesome B&B! The owner was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable in regards to the history of the place and made friends for life with my daughters after showing them his farm animals, and the pool with waterfall and lights at night under the stars! He was a fantastic host and very welcoming ! In addition , he made and brought a fantastic breakfast brought straight to the cabin door! The beds were so comfortable with clean cotton sheets! There is an air conditioner, fan, some games, and TV with WiFi. The girls walked around the property a bit exploring and was informed the pool was open anytime day or night! (with supervision of your kids of course , people.... the deep side was approx 12 feet!)The diamond crater park is roughly 30 minutes away and we made a day trip there as well one day which was fun! We had the best time here over a 3 day weekend and the family enjoyed it more than a beach vacation! We loved our stay with you Brad and will definitely be back!

Wonderful cabin retreat

We loved our stay at the cabin. We also stayed in the red barn a few years ago and it was also wonderful. My kids loved feeding the goats and pigs. We plan to return.
