Great stay!

My family was in the area to watch some softball games near Oakland University. This house was a great price and in a nice,quiet location. While it is an older home, it was clean and had everything we needed. I was nervous about getting the check in information but received it the morning of check in, so I was worried for nothing. Good communication from the rental group.

Nice bungalow

Had initial communications problem, but successfully resolved. Property located near major Detroit roadways; accessible to the Eastside, Westside, and northern suburbs.

weekend getaway

This home was as pictured, enough room for 5 of us. The bathrooms were a little small, but overall, the house was much more spacious than a hotel room. The neighborhood was fairly quite, and close to shopping, eating, etc.

Easy to find, quiet street

We were working in the Detroit metro area for a few days and also had a wedding to attend. Our rental owner was a great communicator and the house had everything we needed. It was also on a dead end street so very little traffic. The wi-fi was great, kitchen had all we needed, two bathrooms and three clean and bright bedrooms. Thank you!

Better than a hotel

With our group of two families, this worked out great. The location was only 10 min from our other family which helped a lot. It was a nice clean home and Shelly was very helpful when there were questions.

Couples trip

The property was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet and the host was pleasant and helpful. I read an earlier review that stated there where no clocks but I really never noticed that since I use my phone for the time. There weren't televisions in the bedrooms but after a long day out celebrating, we just wanted a shower and clean beds. The pipe froze in the downstairs bath and in minutes Shelly had maintenance there and everything up and running. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely rebook this listing.

Disappointing Stay at the Auto Maniac Manor

Unfortunately, the house left a lot to be desired! There wasn't a single working clock in the house, there was only 1 TV in the entire house (none in the Master BR), no alarm clocks in the house, and the lamp in the upstairs Master BR didn't work. Also, there were no towels, linens, or bath tissue in the upstairs Master BR, so if we needed anything, we had to go downstairs. Also, none of the towels matched in the house, and there was no new bar soap in the house, only used bar soap downstairs. Also, only used bottles of Shampoo and conditioner were in the bathrooms. Overall, the house left a lot to be desired. I would not stay there again.

Emergency Trip

It was an family emergency that brought us to the area in May, so we needed a place that was a convenient location to and from St. Joseph hospital, Pontiac. I had grown up not too far away from and already knew the area in which we were looking to stay. This home was very big, clean, located on a decently quiet street and had everything we needed, plus more. The renters were very easy to contact and work with, they also were willing to work with us and hold the property incase we needed additional night or two. Ultimately, though it was a stressful time, it was a good experience and if we ever need to be in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to call and book with them once more.

Cozy and clean house, convenient to get around Detroit area

We stayed for the weekend to visit friends and museums. The location was quite convenient to get to Detroit or its suburbs, yet in a quiet neighborhood. The house has been kept clean,cozy, and the beds are comfortable, good for a family of 4-6 as long as two could share the same bed . The manager was very responsive and tended to any questions or requests we had. Thanks, The Bijou.
