Happy House Callala

Great property had other family staying close by so perfect position to be close to each other. Pet friendly good yard for the dogs as well.

SO close to the dog friendly beach and in a quiet neighbourhood. Accomodation was spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay

Would stay here again!

Location is amazing, short walk to the beach! Overall stay was great and cosy, only dislike was the art through the house - hate clowns lol! Would love more of a beachy aesthetic to suit the property, then it would be 5/5.

Well presented 3 bedroom beach house

The house was well equipped and a lovely outdoor covered area for afternoon bbq. Well fenced for furry family.

Overpriced decent place

The house is in decent shape. It is located in Callala Beach on Jervis Bay, which in itself is a beautiful spot but 35 km from where one can find restaurants and cafes. This was not so clear from the ad. We stayed for 4 nights and had to bring linen. Given the price I think linen should be provided; I also don't fancy the additional laundry on returning.

Overall a good spot

I enjoyed my week at Callala Beach. The view from the deck at the house was lovely, I really enjoyed the native birds coming to the feeder and it was an easy walk to the beach. The fences were fine for my dog who's elderly. They are about 1m high, and a wire/ chicken wire at the back so you can see through to the bush. Inside - the couch was comfortable, as was the bed once I got used to a new one. Great to have a coffee machine (ground coffee not pods) and the kitchen was well equipped. The things I didn't appreciate - twice - people accessing the house while I was staying there without notifying me either in advance or afterwards. My car was outside, my wallet was inside on the table. The agency only admitted it when I pushed twice via email. Not okay. Personally I think the house would be better with less decorations. Maybe just me.

Happy house. Callala beach

Overall we were happy with the house, kitchen was a bit dirty with splattered food down the cupboards and the shower needed a good scrub. And the cobwebs outside should be cleared. But the house felt inviting and the beds were comfortable and the beach was lovely and very close.

A little group of us went up it was a lovely stay. Had to stay at the house the entire time due to weather and it was really comfortable and the range of movies that were there helped keep the time going. Thank you so much for having us

Great location, only 3 minute walk to the beach

Good stay, in a really good location. You’ll need to bring most toiletries (and bed linens) but it’s in a very good location. A bit older, but you’re more than likely to spend most of your time around the beaches. Good stay for the price.

No WiFi and expensive for what it is

No WiFi and poor phone reception. Not especially clean as coated dust on the numerous 3D pieces of décor. An extra and quite hefty cleaning bill in addition to rental cost is a bit much, and the “complimentary toilet roll” just sounds as stingy as it is! Lovely garden and great location though.

Lovely quiet location, lots of wildlife. The house itself has great character. We all felt very at home here. We would definitely stay there again. The house has everything you might need and more. Would be a great house for family.

Quiet paradise

Stayed with a few friends, house was extremly clean and had alot of quirky features. The elvis pics in particular drew my attention!! Shower pressure fantastic!!

Great for a quiet beach getaway

We have stayed at the beach cottage at Callala on several occasions over the last 3 or 4 years. We love it because it is dog-friendly, with a secure yard and front gate that keeps our dog out of mischief. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach - or 30 second drive if you're really lazy (like me!) Dogs can also go onto the beach too - where its easy to find a deserted patch. The house is comfortable and is resplendent with groovy kitsch decor! It can be nice and breezy in summer and the gas heater gets it cosy and warm if you're there in the cooler months. The outdoor shower and second bathroom on the back verandah are really handy. There is an indoor dining table that fits 6 and an outdoor one of similar size undercover on the verandah. Its great to sit outside having a meal or reading a book, soaking in the serenity from the forest, which directly adjoins the back yard. Every time we've arrived, the house has been spotless! The house is a very short drive to a fantastic 18 hole golf course and a 5 min drive to Callala Bay, where there's a surprisingly well-stocked IGA supermarket and a bottle shop. What more do you need?

Love this place!

This fabulous beach cottage has become our 'home away from home'. Our family, 3 humans & 1dog, come every year. It's very comfortable, has 2 fridges & a big TV. It's a 3 min walk to the beach, which enables multiple visits per day. The back of the house borders on bush land...so relaxing listening to the birds & wind in the trees. Plus the colourful king parrots vist everyday. There's a cold shower in the backyard to wash off the sand after the beach. We love all the kitsch art & retro photos throughout the house...the fridge magnets are a hoot!
