Chalet Oscar är en nyrenoverad 5 sovrum, 5 badrum chalet inrättad för att garantera en fantastisk semester i bergen. Fastigheten ligger bara 5 minuters promenad från butikerna och restaurangerna i Chamonix och den världsberömda Aguille du Midi-liften.

Det stora sovrummet är ett fantastiskt loftutrymme som täcker hela övervåningen med 360 graders utsikt över Chamonixdals berömda toppmöten. Stugan har bastu samt två separata vardagsrum och kök, vilket ger ett mycket flexibelt utrymme.

Perfekt för grupper på upp till 10, kan stugan sova upp till 14, med två bäddsoffor. Fråga om grupper på mer än 10 vuxna.

Stugan ligger över 3 våningar med öppen planlösning huvudbostad på bottenvåningen. På ena sidan finns en sittgrupp med 2 Natuzzi soffa stolar och extra soffa och fåtölj och på motsatta sidan är ett matbord lätt sittplatser 10. Vardagsrummet har ett dubbelt höjdslo på ena sidan med klätterskulptur av en thailändsk konstnär. Stora skjutfönster ger tillgång till balkongen och terrassen med utemöbler. Detta är ett utmärkt utrymme för att njuta av måltider utomhus under sommarmånaderna.

Det öppna köket är skilt från vardagsrummet av en frukostbar byggd av lokal granit som återvinns från det ursprungliga huset före renovering. Köket är fullt utrustat med allt du behöver för att tillgodose. Det finns en ugn i full storlek, keramikhäll, mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin och kyl / frys (notera: frysen är liten).

För avkoppling efter en aktiv dag på berget kan du lugna alla värkande muskler i bastun. Stugan är också utrustad med en TV så att du kan stänga av framför en film.

För din bekvämlighet, på nedre bottenvåningen, har stugan också ett grovkök med tvättmaskin, en torktumlare, ett separat bagagerum med skid- och bagageutrymme och varmluftstork.

Samspel med gästerna

Gästerna kommer antingen att träffas vid Chalet vid ankomsten för att överlämna nycklarna och för att lämna ytterligare information, eller om detta inte är möjligt vid ankomsttid, kommer nycklarna att vara i en låskista vid Chalet och fullständiga skriftliga instruktioner.

Fabulous chalet

A beautiful, huge chalet with everything you would need. It was clean and comfortable and 10 minutes walk to the centre. We would come back.

Great place for family.

This was a great house for our family of 7. Everything was just a few minutes walk or bus ride for us. Easy walk to access Monte Blanc Gondola. Also away from the noise of town center. Great views.

Friends ski trip

The chalet was perfect for our group of 11. We were comfortable, it was easy to get to the slopes, and a sauna after a day of skiing was perfect. Highly recommend!

All 7 people in our group thought this a fantastic place, even better than shown in the photos. The chalet exudes quality, the owner is very friendly and helpful and the neighbourhood is excellent. We tried most of the recommendations in the welcome pack and agreed with them too. We all look forward to staying here again!

Lovely chalet

Can’t fault anything about the chalet. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped; everything has been well thought through. We rented this as part of my partner’s 50th birthday celebrations with family joining us for some of the stay. They were all very impressed with the chalet, and although we had a full house it never felt crowded.

House was great!

House was big, close to town and able to walk everywhere. Loved that we didn't need a car. Just FYI--TV is quite small for the living area. The TV did not work for us anyways which was another issue but the owner was going to look into it. The washer and dryer are very small for a house that size so plan accordingly. Otherwise house was great for our family of 6.

Chalet Oscar

This property is absolutely awesome. Three minutes walk to Cham Sud bus stop for access to all ski areas. Place has been renovated to a very high standard. It was a delight to stay in it. Grant was a perfect host, accommodating us with anything we required. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to visit Chamonix Valley. Cheers Frank PS look out for the abseilers ;-)

Fantastic week in chamonix

Chalet Oscar is in a fantastic location central to town. We had a big group (6 adults and one infant) which works well in the layout of the chalet. It is only 8 mins walk to a great bakery, 2 minutes walk to a fantastic bar and about 10 minute into the centre of town. Access to activities was brilliant and we got free train passes from the tourist office which made for a great week when not much else was open. The chalet has a great layout with the ground floor being completely self contained (its own kitchen / living area). Only minor issue was the traffic noise if staying on the top floor of the chalet from early morning. Great host communication!

Beautiful Ski chalet in the heart of Chamonix

We were fortunate to have found this wonderful chalet. We were a family of 5 on holiday with another family of 5 (2 grandmas in the group). We all had privacy as all rooms have private bathrooms and showers. We were amazed the hot water was enough for all 10 in the group! The living area is gorgeous with beautiful views. Two washing machines downstairs were a nice touch. Loved the room to enter after skiing with the area to hang boots to warm! Wow! The interiors were done with great taste. Cant wait togo back..

Chamonix spring getaway

Family of 5 in the springtime - plenty of room to spread out but still come together for meals and social time. The house is clean, modern, and well-appointed. Some of us really enjoyed the sauna after a day of hiking. Things to note - the house is on 3 levels. You can get a car near levels 1 and 2 for loading/unloading. The master is on the top level with a small winding staircase. The entrance for Aiguille du Midi is an easy 7-10 minute walk mostly downhill. You can watch the cable cars go up/down from the house. While there's a pizza restaurant close by, most of the main part of town is a 15-20 minute walk.

A Fabulous French Alps Retreat

We just returned from our stay at Chalet Oscar and my house is disappointing compared to where we just living! Grant's perfectly renovated chalet is just amazing. Everything is brand new, sparkling clean, and luxurious. The three upstairs bedrooms all have their own bathrooms so all the adults in our party had privacy. We left the entire downstairs to the kids, who had to share showers/bathrooms but there was plenty of room for everyone. The dining area is all sliding doors which we had open for every meal. We ate a few breakfasts/lunches in town but had dinner in the chalet every night. The town is walking distance from the chalet and we went there each day, including taking the gondola to the top of the mountain. There are also several hikes that are within walking distance from the chalet. I have to comment that although we were there in the summer and were not skiing, this chalet has the most unbelievable area for storing ski equipment. It is like nothing I have ever seen. There is a separate entrance where you would take off all your ski clothes and store ski equipment and it would not be in your way at all during your stay. There is also a sauna and huge shower outside the sauna which we did not use in the summer weather. The master suite (which is where I stayed) is a treat as it has its own loft and sitting area. The house is decorated very stylishly - plenty of fur which we loved! We were 8 people in total and we were very comfortable, but you could definitely fit more if they were couples (double beds). Do not hesitate to rent this chalet - it was amazing!

La casa es tal cual se muestra en las fotos. Grant muy atento en todo momento. Hubo un problema con la calefacción central y la solucionaron con estufas electricas, en ningun momento notamos frio. Todo genial y la ubicación excelente.

Réunion de famille au top!

Une superbe maison avec une vue splendide sur le Mont Blanc et le Pic du Midi que la proximité avec la route n'a pas gâchée. Très confortable, bien équipée, rien à redire! nous avons passé un week end des plus agréable.

Ce chalet est absolument magnifique et décoré avec goût ! Il est très spacieux. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour entre amis. Nous étions 8 et la place ne manquait pas ! Le propriétaire est disponible et répond rapidement. Je recommande vivement ce chalet !

Agréable séjour

Très beau chalet, bien équipé proche du centre ville de Chamonix à pied. Le chalet n’est pas équipé de climatisation. Environnement extérieur assez bruyant en raison de la proximité d’un axe routier. Nous avons apprécié les produits locaux et la bouteille de champagne offerts.

Chalet grand standing et tout confort

Notre court séjour au chalet Oscar a été un enchantement. Dans un contexte Covid, quel bonheur de se ressourcer au pied du Mont Blanc dans ce chalet luxueux, idéalement situé pour se balader dans le centre de CHAMONIX. A proximité également (en voiture) des premières pistes de Ski Nordique. L'accueil a été parfait avec des produits locaux offerts ainsi qu'une bouteille de champagne. Le chalet est aménagé avec beaucoup de goût et tout a été pensé dans les moindres détails pour notre plus grand confort. Les 3 niveaux du chalet permettent à chacun de pouvoir s'isoler si besoin. Nous étions une famille de 8 personnes, et les enfants (ados et jeunes adultes) ont été ravis d'avoir le premier niveau du chalet pour eux ;-) Et merci à Grant pour son hospitalité !

Excellent New Year's Skiing Trip

Weve just returned from an excellent family skiing holiday in Chamonix. The chalet made the holiday. It's been exquisitely renovated and decarated and is perfect for relaxing after a long day skiing. The boot dryer was an excellent addition. We can't fault our stay and are already looking into booking for next year. Thank you Grant for being an excellent host.

We purchased the Chalet in 2016 as a slightly dated 1960's building requiring a lot of updating and renovation - so after two years of major renovation, internal and external, taking it back to an empty shell - having taken the roof off, removed floors and almost all internal walls, added two extensions....we're really pleased with the result. We hope you will be too.
