Stunning views

The reviews don’t do this property justice. The views are spectacular and the beach is a 2 minute walk. Yes it doesn’t have a dish washer and you have to bring your own line but for the price (compared to all other beach houses with views) it is far cheaper.

Hot water only enough for six people to shower a day. We need to take second cold shower. We found out a lot of pet fur around the sofa, floor and bed even though pet are not allowed.

The place is in a great location. We did have a few issues with power and things breaking. Probably wouldn’t rebook. Was very expensive for the quality of the property.

Missed potential.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A perfect location and an excellent view were ruined by a lack of attention to detail, poor furniture choices and misleading listings. Issues with the property included:1. Promised air-conditioning that did not exist downstairs (noting that the agent did honestly do her best to rectify this)2. When they say 'no linen' they mean no linen. No hand towels, very few tea towels, few garbage bags, the cheapest possible toilet paper and not even hand soap in one of the bathrooms3. Poor design choices. There is a heater a fixed to the wall in one room with no PowerPoint to plug it in to. No issue for us but how does it work?4. Cleanliness was an issue. There were 'hundred and thousands' in the crevices of the couches and we had to rewash a large amount of crockery.5. Insufficient furniture for the upstairs verandah and no shade options made it barely usable. The shame of it all is that with a few changes it could be magnificent.

Great location

Good property for the area with views to ocean. Airconditioning downstairs would be icing on the cake, but fans provided and a sea breeze was sufficient.

Relax with a wine and view of the sea

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying at Salt. Being one street back, we missed the traffic to and from the beach but had the wonderful relaxing view from the upstairs living area and of course from the deck. It is a very easy 5 minute walk to the beach and the kids loved their surfing lessons. The bedrooms downstairs stayed beautifully cool and one evening the kids had a movie night in the second living area downstairs. It would be good to have anther sofa upstairs as the house sleeps 8 but the living area only seats 5 comfortably.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Million dollar views but a holiday house that's certainly functional but bare bones. The property is in an outstanding location, very close to the water's edge and there are panoramic views from the upstairs living areas and deck. However, no downstairs ceiling fans (3x pedestal only) or aircon, no dishwasher, no umbrella/shade for outdoor table on deck, and only the one couch in the lounge area (could do with a second). Salt could do with an update...

Good location

House was spacious for amount of guests. Living area was wonderful and had amazing views of ocean. Would have been better with 2 larger couches instead of one small one and chairs - given it holds quite a few guests, would make it more comfortable. Beds were hard and sore to sleep on. Master bedroom did not have appropriate sized curtains so morning sun would beam in. Shower temperature did not regulate and door was hard to open. However balcony and the view and proximity to nearby port Elliot victor harbour spots was worth it, and made these minor things tolerable. Also beach was right around the corner! A strong suggestion would be to put ceiling fans into the bedroom - doesn’t cost a lot and helps especially during the summer, hotter evenings as opposed to a cheap pedestal fan blowing directly on you.
