Nedre våningen kommer barnen att vända sig till det roliga fyllnadsrummet med TV / DVD, ett imponerande DVD-bibliotek och brädspelssamling, ett fotbollsbord och massor av sittplatser för familjesamhället. Den angränsande pentryn kan hålla dem tillfredsställande försedda med snacks. På övervåningen har en jätte trä totem övervakat vardagsrummet / matsalen och pekar ut mot den fantastiska havsutsikten i väster. Utsikt över Haystack Rock i söder och Tillamook Head i norr sammanfoga miles av sandstrand med det oändliga Stilla havet som möter himlen. Comfortable beach vibes!

The house was right on the beach with great views. The 5 bedrooms easily accommodated our party of 7 adults. The house has a worn, comfortable vibe, and was clean and well appointed. The location felt remote, which provided the peace and quiet we were looking for.

Beach house

We live this location. The views and beach access were wonderful. We stayed in one of the uostairs bedrooms and was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the home was very clean. The beach is the backyard. We loved our stay and would definately stay again.

The View

This house was everything we could ask for. I have never rented a place on the beach and this was amazing. We basically had the beach to ourselves most of the time. Just sitting on that deck in the sunshine and hearing the birds and the ocean was so relaxing. Yes the house needs some update but then I would probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

Milestone Birthday

Beautiful View, comfortable. It can use some updating and fixing of blinds in bedrooms because we had to put a blanket over the sliding door in our room so no one could see in, outside deck steps and wood planks because of exposed nails. My family and I enjoyed our visit.

Amazing view, classic Oregon beach house

The location of this home and the view out the back windows is amazing beyond words. It was perfect for an Oregon beach getaway because even during stormy moments we could thoroughly enjoy watching the ocean. Close to Lookout point hike, the sand dune, and the stores in Pacific City if you need anything. The property is as described and is a little dated in looks but it's very functional. All the couches and chairs are comfortable to sit on and enjoy times with your family. There was plenty of room for our family of 7. We mostly stayed on the top floor so we could enjoy the amazing view. Lots of games at the home that we tried out and it was nice having a washing machine/dryer. Being able to have our dogs with us was a bonus. Management company was a bit stingy with the soap as we only got two small bars to cover all the bathroom sinks, showers, and kitchen. They did bring us washcloths as enough were not left for our entire group. I loved our time at Totem House!

Perfect getaway

The totem house was fantastic. Cool and quirky, the house has tons of space and everything we needed. The ocean view could not be more amazing, and having the beach as our “backyard” was priceless. The whole family including our furry friends loved it. We had a great time, and will definitely stay there again.

Great location at the beach

The location can’t be beat. Right on the beach with easy access. The home is outdated and the beds feel old and you can feel the springs in some of them. In general there is a lot of room for some upgrades by the property owner. That being said, we would stay here again just for the beach view and access. We had a great time!

Spectacular View of the Ocean

The home is clean and spacious. The beach access is right off the deck and there is nothing better than sitting in the family room watching the surf and waves. We had a great time. Too short but great.

Beautiful location

A comfortable house with plenty of room for lots of family. Really well stocked kitchen with everything we could have needed in equipment. Not a fancy or brand new place, but comfortable. The second family room was great for the teens. Lots of movies and games provided which was a nice touch. And gorgeous beach views from the upper level. Really enjoyed our stay here. Pacific City was very close for small grocery trips.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have always stayed in Pacific City, it's our first time on the other side of the Cape, it's just as nice on that side, I ran all the way to the cape and there are some cool viewing areas on that side (crashing waves, etc.). The house is very typical, big and we had a blast playing foosball. Fun times!

Exceeded expectations

The advertisement did not do full justice to the wonderful, size, functionality, layout, and location, absolutely great! Garbage can was very full when we arrived. Upper level east bedroom's electrical outlets do not hold cord plugs very well. Kitchen is awesome! We had a wonderful time and will consider this house for our next family gathering at the coast!

Great little getaway.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Granted the house is a bit.... rough around the edges, it really is an adorable, convenient and very well situated little house. The beach is right there, the house is clean and well stocked with needs (cooking utensils, bathroom supplies, towels and linens). The furniture could be replaced as it is not super comfortable but I would stay here again gladly.

Oceanfront oasis at Totom

The location is amazing. The property management is on point. However the home is dated and is in need of a serious update. The furniture needs to be replaced and the appliances should be replaced as well. The water pressure fluctuates if there is kitchen sink use and showering. The heating of the home is all electric wall heaters and plug in fireplaces. Some of the outlets don’t work and there are char marks from where the outlets got to hot from the plug in fireplace. All in all this is a good property for family use with the two rooms with twin beds. A barbecue would be a good add. We enjoyed the home and the view!

Wonderful location_ property in desperate need of refurbishment and care

Stayed at the Totem House in Tierra Del Mar for two nights from 22nd to 24th of June. The property is right on the beach in a truly privileged location a few minutes drive to Pelican Brewery, local cafe and store and Pacific City. The house is well overdue for a makeover. Strong smells all over the house made for a not very pleasant stay. The refrigerator on the second floor emanated a smell of rotten fish and the one on the first floor had rust in the freezer. Both need to be replaced. Electric range upstairs had only partial number of stoves working - also need to be replaced. Carpet shows age and smells aged as well - please replace it for the sake of your future customers. Faucets in the upstairs bathroom did not have hot water running and the cold water faucet barely trickled A few drops … Called the management office to ask for repair - no crew available on Thursday late afternoon with the promise to send someone as early as possible the next day… the repair person never showed up and zero follow up from Meredith Lodging. This property is well overpriced for the quality and comfort it presently offers. We recommend the area and town but definitely do not recommend the property and/or the property management company. Please invest in a house that deserves better and that should offer a better experience to its guests - It will be a win for all involved. Our advice is to avoid renting this property until renovated!

Reviews and Pictures are Deceiving

My friends and I (five 60ish year old women) rented this house because of the view and the 5 bedrooms. The reviews stated that the house needed updates, one said it was a fire hazard, but most were 4 and 5 stars (including that one). When we arrived and unpacked, we tried to turn on the gas fireplace, but it didn't work. I called the property manager and she did not know how to turn it on other than press the on button on the remote that was screwed into the wall. We did this several times with no luck. We really wanted a fire because of the torrential rainstorm. We sent pictures to the maintenance office to see if they could help. In the meantime one person prepared two trays of vegetables to be roasted while the oven pre-heated. Turns out, the oven didn't work. the burners did and the broiler did, but that's it. Then we couldn't get the TV to work even while talking to the property managers (who were great, by the way). At this point with no oven, fireplace, and TV we decided to ask the property managers to find us another house, which they did, and we left the next morning. But that's not all...I plugged in a very small portable fan next to my bed and the outlet sparked. Also there was an incessant banging noise outside the house near the majority of the bedrooms. We figured out that it was the cover of the bathroom vent hitting the side of the house. Two of the women went out in the storm to secure the flap. Fortunately one of them brought a flashlight from home, because none of the 3 flashlights at the house worked. This is a fine house for the people who own it and can tolerate all of the imperfections. However, we paid a lot for 3 nights, and the expectation was to have a decent place to stay. This should not be a rental. And if you are reading this and wondering if I am a whiny person who isn't satisfied with anything, I am not. I have NEVER written a negative review of a rental property, and I have stayed in many. Lastly, the management group, Meredith Lodging, was extremely helpful and accommodating, and we appreciate all of their help. However, it probably would be in their best interest to be more familiar with their properties.
