holiday fun

we had such a lovely time in this house - the verandah had sun all day which was just divine during winter. The location was great, we did not need a car at all.

Great wrap around deck that is fully gated so our young daughter was safe. Kitchen has everything you need. The only negative is the bedrooms are quite hot and only have standing fans that are dusty.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Been going to Coberay for around 25 years and always enjoy it. We stayed downstairs this year and upstairs last year. Last year we had no aircon for the whole week and this year, no dishwasher. Things happen I understand but expecting us to just cop it with no concession is a little disappointing. Also, the cooking equipment downstairs needs looking at. Virtually no baking equipment at all, and a small skillet. The electric frypan is really bad. I took a pic that I'll send you.

Winter stay at Straddie

The weather was beautiful... some windy, blustery days and nights, and some of those beautiful big blue sky days. Coberay is a perfect house for having family come and stay. Great location, clean, comfortable, with everything we need. We saw heaps of whales. And the people on the island are wonderful, friendly, relaxed and laidback. A unique place to stay, and our family has been visiting Straddie for years. Thanks to everyone on Minjerrimbah

It was dirty on arrival.Bedcovers not fresh or washed.Sand and fluff under beds and in corners.Shower not clean House needs maintenance, paint, broken railings etc.Clearly cleaners don’t have time to clean between guests.I have noticed this over past few years stay.Because I love Straddie I still come. Have holidayed there for 67years.

Being pet friendly I could take my dog and went for long walks on the beach.There are usually a few minor cleaning issues such as the kitchen windows and fly screens needing a good clean but as the property is so popular there is probably never a free time for a deep clean.The other qualities of the house make up for small issues like that.There had been a refurbish since we were last there in 2019.The gardens are lovely.

Wonderful place to stay for a one week getaway at Point Lookout.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I and our son’s family (including 2 young grandchildren) rented Coberay for a week. We’ve stayed there multiple times because it is so well maintained and set up, spacious, has lovely outdoor verandahs, an enclosed yard for the children to play, allows pets and is in a wonderful location on the beach side of the road close to Deadmans and Cylinder beaches and the beginning of the beauriful Whale Walk trail which takes you to the Point Lookout George walk. Faboulus viewings of whales breaching, pods of dolphins, turtles and sighting wallabies and sometimes a koala en route.

Love Straddie

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have been holidaying at Straddie for many years but first time staying at Coberay. We like this area as two beaches and Foodworks are in walking distance so everyone can come and go as they please. The last few years we have stayed at Quarterdeck across the road but this year our family numbers had grown with a one year old grandson and a 'fur' baby so Coberay was perfect. The property is fully fenced with a lovely private backyard and well kept garden. The house has a great wrap around deck with gates and plenty of seating, bbq and dining area. Coberay is an older property but very solid and homely - perfect for two families. If not walking the beautiful beaches, sitting on the deck with a good book is a must.

Disappointed the aircon wasn't working and nobody advised us even though Ray White knew prior to us arriving. Wasted a lot of my time and no offer of any consideration for sweltering for the week
