Helt avskilt på över ett tunnland och boarde National Forest, är Mountain Retreat den perfekta platsen för jakt, fiske, längdskidåkning, forsränning, vandring, eller bara koppla av. Ligger 10 miles norr om Gardiner, MT, den norra infarten till Yellowstone National Park, och cirka 0,75 miles från Hwy 89 Mountain Retreat ligger nära till åtgärden men tillräckligt långt bort att missa massorna.

Cedar Creek, en infödd mördande lek ström, rinner längs kanten av huset som ger hisnande vyer av många fönster i hela hemmet. Ljudet av bäcken söver dig att sova på natten för ett otroligt vilsam och avkopplande upplevelse.

Mountain Retreat är idealiskt beläget för dem som vill ha enkel tillgång till fiske och vandring. Från din dörr en mil och en halv enkel vandringsled tar dig upp på berget till OTO Dude Ranch. OTO är genomsyrad av historia och visar fascination så många har med den amerikanska västern vid sekelskiftet. Boken Musik, Sadlar och Flapjacks, är en kopia ligger på Mountain Retreat för din läsning nöje --- är en stor läsa om pionjärerna dude ranching rörelsen på OTO. Om fiske är vad du är ute efter, är Mountain Retreat 10 minuter från fyra olika fiske åtkomst. Yellowstone River är ett blått band öring bäck och utmärkta floden för att finslipa dina flugfiske färdigheter på och njuta av en dag på vattnet.

Vi älskar vår bit av paradiset längs Cedar Creek och vill dela den med våra gäster. Mountain Retreat är en unik fastighet och vi kommer att sträva efter att se till att det är den bästa möjliga upplevelse för dig!

Huset har 2 sovrum, ett med en drottning säng och den andra har en dubbelsäng. Den har också en multi-användning rum med två enkelsängar. Det finns ett badrum i huset. Längs baksidan av huset finns en veranda med stolar och en grill för din användning tillsammans med en picknick bord alla tittar på Cedar Creek.

We loved the stay. There is beautiful Creek flowing along the house and it actually feels like a stay in the woods. We did hear some noise one night on our door but didn't have the courage to check it out so we just switched off all lights for a while and the doors & windows were already closed. During nights, the area is pitch dark but it is beautiful during daylight.

Loved the location, privacy, quiet and the running creek. Falling asleep with the windows open with the sound of water was so relaxing. House was very comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Enjoyed time in the backyard relaxing. It was also close to Yellowstone Hot Springs, 2 miles and the Northgate of Yellowstone was 10 miles. We enjoyed both locations. Would enjoy coming back.

Nice Location

Cabin was at the end of a gravel road and next to a small creek and open rolling hills. 25 to 30 minutes to Mammoth Hot Springs.Building was clean but interior was a little dated and room layout was a bit odd. But worked for three kids and three adults. We probably would stay again if in the area.

Super location. Close to the north entrance of Yellowstone but just far enough away to feel secluded. Rustic and spacious. The sound of the creek running was peaceful background noise.

Great experience!

This property was perfect for our 2 day visit to Yellowstone! It's only 15 minutes out of town. The property is secluded and the creek provides perfect white noise! Just note that if you have a bigger family you'll need to plan out your showers because the hot water doesn't last long!

A great stay

We have stayed at several “rustic” cabins, and we really liked this one. The location is secluded but easy to get to. It is clean and recently updated, and the host left some goodies for us for our stay. The kitchen is suitable for cooking, with the essential cook wear and some spices and such. There was plenty of room to spread out, with outdoor spaces to relax. My research shows there are indeed cutthroat in the trout creek, but perhaps early in the year it seems the runoff is a little high to fish it- for me anyway. The sound of the water adds to the ambience.There is a hiking trail to an historic ranch nearby, which looked fun, but we didn’t get a chance to go.When we get back to this part of the country, we will definitely try to book this property again.

Good Sized Cabin by a Creek

This place was perfect for our family. The cabin was spacious and clean. We loved having the creek right out the window and enjoyed sitting by it. We went for a short hike on the adjacent trail too.

Spacious for a family of five

We loved staying in the Gardiner area. It was the perfect mix of not too busy, but with great attractions. This home gave us space to spread out as a family (ages 15,12, and 10) after days of cramped hotel stays, teenagers…need I say more!?! We joked that we each had a wing of the house. We also enjoyed the well stocked kitchen. We made lasagna one night and grilled burgers another night, and made breakfast each morning. Again, after eating out as much as we did it was nice to have some home cooked meals. The stream was roaring in June and we loved hearing it at night and while we ate our meals. While here we took a break from YNP and did a Saddle & Paddle trip that was a highlight for our children. We were in the perfect location to ride horses in the Gallatin National Forest and got to paddle the Yellowstone River (the kids even got to swim in it!) Look up Wild West Rafting, they were also great! We could not recommend this place more to another family! We would book again if we ever came back! Clean, spacious, and close but far enough away to take a break from the crowds! Don’t even think twice about this place!

Cozy Cabin close to YNP

Our family of 5 (3 young adult sons) enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin retreat close to YNP. The property is very private and next to a stream. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Easy check-in/check-out. The owner is great to communicate with and also very accommodating to an additional need of ours. We had a great vacation!

Relaxing Rustic Hideaway

Quiet, away from the bustle of the visitors of Yellowstone Park. Easy drive to entrance to park. Creek on the property was wonderful. Very clean and comfy beds.

McPherson Family Trip - 2025

The property was the perfect escape from reality—peacefully tucked away from it all. After a long day exploring Yellowstone, the sound of the nearby stream was pure bliss. Our family enjoyed hiking around the cabin, and we truly cherished the time together. The stargazing at night was absolutely breathtaking.
