Detta charmiga och rymliga 2: e rad hem erbjuder alla bekvämligheter i hemmet och utsikt att matcha. Den täckta verandan med vippar och segelflygplan erbjuder utmärkt havsutsikt och den täckta bakre verandan har en mat- och sittgrupp med utsikt över kanalen och vattenvägarna. Det finns också ett däck på gården, nära kanalen. (Observera att det inte finns någon direkt tillgång till kanalen från vårt parti) Köket är välutrustat med kylskåp, spis, mikrovågsugn, brödrost, diskmaskin, mixer etc. Det finns central luftkonditionering och värme. Det finns takfläktar i alla sovrum. Det finns också 3 TV: er, DVD / videobandspelare, tvättmaskin och torktumlare, kolgrill, asfalterad parkering, innesluten utanför varmvattendusch, täckta entréer och WI-FI. Sovrummet är enligt följande:
Sovrum 1: 2 tvillingar, sovrum 2: 1 drottning och 1 tvilling, sovrum 3: 1 dubbel och 1 tvilling sovrum 4: 1 drottning. Tillträdet till stranden ligger ungefär ett och ett halvt kvarter från huset och fiskebrygga ligger cirka 2 kvarter bort.

Great Location and Nice Home

The homeowner was exceptional. This property is exactly as described and was perfect for our group (4 adults and two toddlers). If you're anything like our family, comfort, location, and a kitchen stocked with needed tools are the most important parts of a trip. We were all very happy with our stay and will likely be back to Gimme Shelter in the future.

Family Vacay 2023

Our entire family was able to stay here comfortably. We had 8 adults - 3 couples and 2 singles. I enjoyed the front and back porches/decks and would sit outside every morning to enjoy my coffee. Susy was very easy to work with and her communication was wonderful - from check-in and check-out procedures to letting us know about restaurants and events happening on the island. We would definitely stay here again.

So happy with the GIMME SHELTER cottage!

We vacation at Holden Beach every summer. Our family tradition has been going on for decades. This was one of the very best places! We had a beautiful view of the canal & the ocean! The interior is beautiful, spacious & very well equipped. My favorite thing about this place is the outdoor hangouts! The front porch has 2, the back porch 2 & downstairs has 3 where we enjoyed hvg coffee, breakfast, appetizers, cocktails etc. It was just like the photos. Susy could not hv been more helpful & quick to respond. We wd definitely rent it again…

Great location and relaxing!!

We had a great time!!! Very relaxing, great view and accommodations were wonderful!! The walk to the beach is two streets over and it was helpful to have the outside shower to rinse off before going inside. My one big rule whenever we rent a house is the "SAND"..... I don't want to sleep in it so I'm constantly sweeping!!!! Over the bridge has awesome ice cream places and some restaurants that we loved!!! You will love this place if you rent it!

Everything we could have expected and more!

This was our very first time using VRBO and we could not have had a better experience than what we did. The home was very clean and had everything that we could have possibly needed for a comfortable stay. The process from the very beginning of expressing interest all the way to the checkout process was very simple and very much appreciated being a first time renter. The owner was incredibly nice and available for any questions throughout the days leading up to our vacation as well as the stay. I would highly recommend this home to anyone for all the reasons above plus some!

End of Summer Beach Trip

Gimme Shelter was the perfect place to spend our annual end of summer beach trip with friends and family. the host was very responsive and friendly. The bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds. The open floor plan in kitchen/dining/living room makes it easy for a crowd to spread out and enjoy meals, games and TV. There is plenty of parking and space underneath the house and in the driveway to accommodate multiple cars and still have room to play corn hole, relax and store beach items at end of the day. The front porch offers nice views of the ocean and good people watching too. The back porch provides a more private relaxing quiet view of the canal with great sunrise and sunset views. Quick walk across street to beach front. And the kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities for meals and drinks. Bonus there are lots of games and puzzles for rainy days and nights in. TV, internet and air all worked great and there were even box fans for those who need white noise to sleep! Would definitely consider staying again!

Wonderful experience!

This was my first time at Holden Beach. The house was in order and provided great accommodation for my family. My favorite place was the front porch with a view of the ocean and an ever-present breeze. Perfect setting to enjoy your morning coffee. I hope to have an opportunity to return soon

The house was spacious and clean.

Very comfortable for our family of 5 and could easily have shared it with another (perhaps smaller) family. The beach chairs and cart were a nice addition with lots of puzzles and books to entertain the kids. The Wifi worked great even on the rainy day when my son and I played on the Xbox (which we brought) and two others were watching Netflix on different devices.

Lovely get away, great location!

We loved staying here for a family reunion -- great location, well-equipped house, clean, up to date, nicely laid out and furnished. Great porches and easy, comfortable home. Hosts are very friendly and easy to work with! Holden Beach is a wonderful place, lots of great beach and some good restaurants, wonderful waterway, beautiful setting. We will definitely be back!

Very Relaxing and Great Views

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Gimme Shelter. The house was plenty big and had fantastic views from the front and back porches. Lucky for us the lot across the street has not been developed so for the second row price you get a front row view. I may have brought my whole kitchen down with me, but I did not need to because the kitchen was well stocked. I grew up coming to Holden Beach to visit my grandparents who lived there full time and this house gave me that comfortable and nostalgic feeling I was looking for. Thanks again!

Loved it!

Brought my parents and other family members to Holden beach for the first time. This property was perfect. Within walking distance of beach access, ice cream parlor, general store, peir, diner and souvenir shop. More than enough dishes and cooking utensils. A Weber grill which we used to cook steak, chicken and hot dogs all in one evening. An outdoor hot/cold shower which makes it sooooo nice after coming back from the beach. I had a few questions upon arrival which the owner answered promptly and was very helpful. Spent every morning drinking coffe on the back deck which overlooks the inner coastal water. Hoping to visit again next summer.

We bought "Gimme Shelter" in 1999 because we both love the beach and grew up spending summers on the coast. It has become our perfect sanctuary for getting away from it all and totally relaxing. During the difficult times of our life it has provided just the therapy we needed and in good times it has and continues to be the most wonderful place to bond with family and entertain friends.

We chose this house because of its easy floor plan and of course its Porches! No matter the season or the weather, we spend a lot of time enjoying the front and back porches. Our house is the basic "H" plan which is 2 bedrooms on each side with bathrooms between and a big open common area. It offers great times all together but also privacy when needed. The front area is paved as is underneath the house which provides good parking as well as another area to hang out. We love our outside shower with paintings done by a family member. We decided we wanted the décor of our house to be geared more towards comfort and an "older" beach house feel so we have enjoyed decorating it that way. So if you are looking for shiny, new beachy furnishings, this is not the house for you, but if you are looking for a quaint, interesting, relaxing house, it is for you!
