Det stora sovrummet erbjuder en rustik smak med en queen size-sÀng, platt-TV och tillgÄng till en fullstÀndig uteplats med utsikt över dalarna. Det andra sovrummet Àr rymligt med en full size-sÀng och klÀdkammare. Det fullt utrustade köket har gott om diskutrymme, ett glas toppspektrum, mikrovÄgsugn, brödrost, kaffebryggare, kylskÄp och alla nödvÀndiga redskap. En uppsÀttning franska dörrar frÄn köket leder dig till det glasskÀrmade solrummet med utsikt över dalarna. As they say, location location location. Come for the view, stay for the view. Jim is a welcoming and gracious host, the house is warm and homey, and to be honest, we spent all of our time in the sunroom overlooking the valley. Looking forward to being able to stay there again next time I visit Watkins Glen

Beautiful and peaceful....this home in the country was spotless, and offerred absolutely everything we could possibly need. Spacious, incredibly stocked kitchen......and country views for miles. Our dog was so happy to romp in the gigantic grassy property, and we all enjoyed the sunset visit from 8 deer

The house and property are beautiful and truly made for a very comfortable and cozy stay. The views are fantastic and the house was the perfect getaway space for a long weekend exploring the Finger Lakes. Jim was a wonderful host! He communicated everything we needed to know for our stay effectively and is very kind for opening his family home to travelers seeking a quiet and peaceful retreat. We enjoyed all of the unique decor and family history that can be seen throughout the home. We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again someday!

After reviewing the posting as an "entire house" it wasnt clear this was a converted duplex. So there was just a stair well connecting the units and clearly no noise mitigation between floors. Also on the nights the lower unit was not rented the owner/property manager stayed in the unit. I would echo previous reviews: bee infestations on both porches, garbage from previous renters was still outside and cans full, while not filthy, the unit was not clean, very poor water pressure, broken furniture, previous renters food left in the fridge.The view was very nice...but the windows were very dirty.

Beautiful scenery, gorgeous views! You don’t want to miss out on the views from the decks on this home. The home is welcoming and cozy. Plenty of room for families or friends. And fun to walk around reminiscing at some of the antiques and memborlia. Will be back next fall!

Jim was a great host: very communicative and welcoming. The unit has amazing views of a beautiful valley and surrounding hills, which can be enjoyed from the decks or large sunroom. Sunrise was beautiful. Even though the property feels quite rural, it is close to the village of Watkins Glen, the state park and Seneca Lake, making it an excellent location with lots of activity options and places to eat. There are lots of interesting pieces of art, antiques and other historical knick knacks that are really fun to look at. My dog was obsessed with sitting in the sunroom and watching deer down in the field.I could have stayed a few days there, just enjoying how peaceful it was.

Very cozy

The place has gorgeous views of the mountainside. There are plenty of patio doors that allow for cross ventilation and help you remain cool. I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

The house is well equipped and has a great view. It is a bit dated and needs some repairs to the interior in one place or another.The 6 of us had a great stay.

Just what we needed

Had a great stay at this location. It had everything that we needed. The view was absolutly stunning. The host was responsive. We had a wasp nest outside of our front door and I texted him to let him know before we left for the day. When we returned in the evening the wasp issue was resolved. We would stay here again.

Beautiful stay and kind host

Almost felt more at home here than at my place . Jim was responsive and accommodating and made our stay super easy. Stayed here for almost 2 weeks and couldn't have been more comfortable. Large kitchen and living areas made our holiday stay comfy and cozy. And the view was spectacular, the quiet hills over Watkins with clear skies.
