Labor Day Weekend Get Away

We enjoyed a lovely weekend in this charming cabin. Beautiful porches provided the perfect places to catch up with family over morning coffee, and evening dinners. We enjoyed hiking in Tallulah Gorge & browsing the shops in Clayton. We plan on returning!

Great place for bridal ready photos or honeymoon

This cabin was extremely unique and incredible. We loved all the vintage items and flare. The outside was the biggest hit. One thing to plan for is the gravel drive up and parking. It was difficult to have more than 4 vehicles up there but we worked it out. That won’t be an issue for the typical guest :) just for future bridal/wedding things with vendors coming up. Other than that it was amazing! Scotty was there when I had any questions. The space heaters were nice to pull out when it got chilly at night.

Unique & Memorable

This home was really something! It felt like we had stepped back in time, and it was enchanting. It was really nice to be able to experience such a gem - especially while having all the amenities the Wiley Mountain Lodge has to offer. I will say that you do need a sense of adventure to fully appreciate it. Those who like the outdoors or enjoy experiencing new things will love it. There is a HUGE deck that we absolutely loved. One day we sat out on it from morning until sundown just reminiscing and catching up! One suggestion to guests is to try to arrive before dark. It can be tough to navigate the roads/driveway if it's your first time and it's after dark. My kids will never remember the Holiday Inn they've stayed in, but they will always remember the Wiley Mountain Lodge. This place will live on in our memories for years to come!

Get away from it all!

We love this place so much! If you want a home filled with character tucked in the woods for quiet time, this is it! Yes, there is plenty to do in the area, but I never really wanted to leave the house. All these sleeping porches, a loft, hammock... where to nap next? If you love a rustic, cozy, mountain home, you've got to stay here.

I can’t wait to return!!!

I cannot scream loud enough how amazing this gem of a house is. I honestly want to keep it a secret, but that’s not fair! While hurricane Ian wrecked plans for some of our group and I struggled with whether to cancel our plans or not, Scotty was patient and kind through the decision making up to the day of check in. I am so glad we did not cancel our plans. Celebrating my 50th at Wiley Lodge will forever be one of my favorite memories. The house is so nostalgic with each room prompting conversation. It was hard to break away for our planned activities as we just got caught up in the relaxation it had to offer. I’m already plotting out my next visit. Must things to do is visit Tiger Mountain Vineyard, Moonrise Distillery, 1883 Coffee Shop, and Ladybug Landing gift shop. We had such unique experiences everywhere we went, and I’m not sure if another girls’ trip can top this one. The stay was absolutely amazing. The only glitches we had were knowing what the WiFi password was (several of us had zero service) and the cleanup procedures for checkout. Minor glitches that don’t compare to the blessing we received from Wiley Mountain Lodge. Thank you so much, Scotty!!!❀❀❀

Great weekend getaway

Thank you for creating such a unique experience in the mountains! We recommend checking that all lights have working light bulbs, as it gets dark at night and some of the fixtures didn' t have working bulbs and we couldn't get to them to change them, light the porch ceiling fan and the area by the hot tub. Otherwise, it was relaxing.

Best birthday ever!

We had an amazing experience at the lodge. You can feel the history all around you, and the natural setting is absolutely beautiful. The place was stocked with tons of movies as well as firewood and a kitchen-worth of dishes, pots and pans. During our stay, the power was shut off twice due to utility maintenance, which was a little annoying but not the land lords fault! Loved this place! Def recommended

Wonderful stay

We had a great time hiking and "unplugging" we immediately erased the wifi password and told our kids there was no service. we brought a ton of board games but there are some here too. We loved everything and would come back again! We chose to keep it to just my husband and our children (9,7,& 4) but it could accommodate two families. Admittedly this was a bit over our usual budget but worth it to get away from the hustle and craziness of our day to day. Scotty was helpful, accommodating, and thought of almost everything for our stay! She has a wonderful eye for decor. We would recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Hidden gem in the north GA mountains

This magical place exceeded our expectations. Perfect location for a girls' getaway. Scotty really is a "super host" and her attention to detail is amazing. The lodge is warm and inviting, has lots of great spaces to gather as a group or to find a cozy nook for some quiet time. We literally hated leaving and I am already planning to bring my family back!

Perfect short fall break escape

*****5 stars!*****We loved staying at Wiley Mountain Lodge during our kids' fall break. It's so close to everything (Walmart, Home Depot, downtown Clayton, and Tallulah Falls), but seems so secluded at the same time. It was like a history lesson for our kids - staying in a place like this with such character. Scotty and Jason have done an amazing job preserving the original aspects while adding contemporary details to make it a memorable place for our whole family. We disconnected from our fast-paced lives and purposefully reconnected with our family with playing board games, hiking Tallulah Gorge, reading good books, making s'mores around the fire pit, and enjoying the hot tub. I couldn't believe how fancy the outdoor bathroom was! It was the preferred bathroom by 3 out of 5 members our family. It was a fantastic trip!

Great girls getaway

We had the best trip here and loved the property. Did lots of hiking and tubing and visited some vineyards and a distillery. Lots of fun and it was the perfect place for our trip.

Rustic perfection

Our group of 5 ladies age 45-76 had an amazing stay. Thoughtful details in every inch of the property made this an exceptional experience. We logged many evening hours on the covered front porch. The porch was well appointed and large but a cozy feel and the djning table was awesome. Loved having the ceiling fans on the porch on warm evenings. The bedrooms were great and a couple of us stayed on the screen sleeping porches. Definitely my favorite part. The fans kept it cool enough. The bedding was nice and the porch beds were sooooo comfortable. Going to sleep with the nighttime noises was a real treat. We all enjoyed the outdoor bathrooms and showers and the indoor bathroom was sufficient with plenty of towels. Kitchen had everything we needed. Owner provisioned the house prior to my arrival at my request and the charcuterie board we ordered was a 10 out of 10. Appreciated this offering after a long day of travel. Definitely one of the greatest pla es I’ve stayed. Didn’t use a new porch area that is absolutely gorgeous
.and not shown on the VRbO listing. Sooooo much space and it’s dripping with character. If you like quality with a rustic flair you must stay here. Impressive all around. Lots to do in the area. Great waterfall hikes, wineries, reservoir lakes (stunning) and cute towns with shopping and dining nearby. Plenty of activities to fill many days but you could also choose to lay low at the house because it’s so great it’s hard to leave. Pure Magic.

Such a unique getaway!

We came here for our college girls reunion. We had plenty of space to spread out and great places for gathering together and talk. It was off the beaten path but close enough to get out and do a couple of tourist things. We had a great time!
