Awesome property very close to the beach!

This property is perfect for a family vacation to the beach. When they say one block from beach, it is true. The house had all the amenities for a great stay. We will definitely be back.

Beachside getaway

The house was perfect. Clean, cozy and equipped with everything we needed. It is within walking distance to the main strip in town with plenty of restaurant choices. I look forward to going back soon!

This place was awesome!!!

Just what we needed! We stayed over New Years with our 2 teenage daughters and it was absolutely perfect! So cozy, very clean, comfortable beds, fireplace, hot tub. Everything was great. Will definitely be back.

Salt Works cottage review

Great location, wonderful house, well decorated and appointed. It suited our family of 4 very well and provided room for other family in the area to join for dinners. My only suggestion would be that if there could be any beach toys to share for use, the kids would really appreciate it!

Loved it!

We loved this charming house with a warm fireplace and hot tub. It was snowy when we were there so didn’t use the yard. We enjoyed staying here close to the beach and walking distance to town. The beds were truly comfortable, best sleep ever!

A great beach cottage for a family vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Such a Cute Cottage

We loved this cottage. The location was good and the decor was great. There were only 4 of us so it was a perfect size. The rooms were a bit small, but okay because it was a small cottage! We loved the location near the strand. Thanks for allowing us to make great memories!

Lovely cottage

Loved the cottage. Couple of pointers, didn't know which containers were recycling and what was considered garbage. Also the hot tub bubble rap was old and floating constantly in the hot tub. Cheers lnb. Didn't like host fees and usually avoid those properties. Also parking off site was unacceptable. We finally just parked on street.98

Fleas

The house was cute and close to the beach. The fleas came home with us. Disgusting. No street parking seemed weird for a 3 bedroom house. And no signs on the street stating no parking. Im not sure this is legal. Promises to come out and clean the hottub didnt happen. The chlorine dispenser was empty. We did have a good vacation. Next stay somewhere else.

Seaside vacation ruined

Arrived at 5:30 pm. First we had asked in December when we booked about the parking space and was told two full size trucks could fit. We got there and only one truck could fit and there was no parking on the street. The public parking doesn’t allow overnight parking so we had to keep driving around to find a place or drive the 3 hours home. Next we followed directions given in guest portal to enter and the code would not work. We called the number given and got a recording stating no one was available to take our call please try to call back later. We called VROB and were on half 20 minutes only to be told to use the code and call the owners. After 40 minutes someone else called us and told us to use the lockbox. We could not find. Lockbox and it had not been in the instructions. A neighbor came over to help and we found the lockbox in the backyard behind a closed gate. The first code we were given over the phone didn’t work. Finally we got a code that worked and gained enter to the house, thus was after 90 minutes of stress and panic. Once inside the home was not ready for visitors. The refrigerator had old food debris on bottom shelves, the microwave had debris and had not been cleaned. There was old dry food on the bottom of the shelf next to the microwave and on the floor under it. There was good debris and what looked like old dry spilled milk under the refrigerator. The BBQ grill had drill old food on it. The hot tub was filled on the bottom with sand and debris.

Overall, very lovely, cozy vacation home.

My family of 2 adults, 3 teens loved the location and decore of the house! It was very chilly, windy, and rainy, so the fire place was delightful and the hot tub was super fun! Everyone loved the decore and the beds were very comfortable. The only downsides were that the back room (master) was so chilly, especially at night. The heat didn't seem to help much and that made sleeping back there a little less restful. There were also ants in the kitchen. Not horribly bad, but each morning and late afternoon I'd have to wipe up a handful of them, and we had to put all food in the fridge to protect it. Other than those fairly solvable issues with an ant trap and small space heater, I'd recommend the house to a friend for sure!

Great stay

House was perfect for our family getaway. Loved the decor and amenities. Close enough to downtown Seaside, but far enough to enjoy quiet and the beach.

The house was great but with problems

The house itself was clean and fun, though we had some problems that could have been addressed with better maintenance. 1) main bath sink didn’t drain 2) no heat - it was in the 40s early AM 3) fireplace didn’t work 4) hot tub jets barely had pressure A few other minor issues. The biggest challenge was the office didn’t seem to respond to the issues and even ignored some. Even though we called them regarding the heat and fireplace, and they sent our a maintenance person who couldn’t fix it, they said days later that maintenance reported no issues with the heat or fireplace. In the end, they did provide a partial refund for the inconvenience.

A Retreat

We loved the cottage! The first thing we noticed was that it smelled great -- not like a hotel, bleach, or musty old beach cottage. It smelled fresh and clean. There were quality linens, dishes, and flatware. Having a yard for the kids to run in was great. We brought a sprinkler and bubble machine and really had blast when the beach was too cold or windy. It's an easy walk to the beach that you can do with a mobile 2 year old. We would love to come back!

Beautiful cozy beach cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Salt Works cottage! It was perfect for our family of 4- easy to walk to the beach, far enough from the prom to feel out of the commotion, but easy to access.

Well appointed

The cottage was everything the listing promised. It was clean and cozy. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare a hearty meal before setting out to explore the amazing PNW. The beds and bedding were comfortable. Plenty of bath towels available for 3 adults. Jacuzzi & beach towels available too!
