Precis utanför "Born Free", leder skidkörningen till gondolen. Huset ligger 120 meter från skidbacken och har utsikt över de magnifika Gore Range Mountains. Namngivna 'Chalet du Soleil', är detta charmiga hus med fyra sovrum inom bekvämt gångavstånd från fina restauranger och butiker. Huset är på ett stort parti. Sledding och lek i snön kan avnjutas av dem med överflödig energi efter skidåkning. Vi erbjuder slädarna. Huset är utrustat med alla bekvämligheter du är van vid i ditt eget hem.

Huset rymmer bekvämt upp till tio personer. Befälhavaren svit har en queen size-säng plus bubbelbadkar för två (jacuzzi typ) och separat duschrum. Den andra våningen sovrummet innehåller en queen size-säng, bad / dusch, och en expansiv bukt fönster. Det tredje sovrummet på övervåningen har en queen size-säng, två dubbla sängar, gott om garderobsutrymme och ett stort handfat.

Det fjärde sovrummet är faktiskt en angränsande studio-lägenhet med king size-säng, kompakt kök och badrum. Alla sängar är gjorda i schweizisk stil med täcken, extra kuddar och strykjärn.

Awesome slope side house!

This was a great property just a short walk to the slopes in Lionshead. The house is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner throughout the week. The communication with the host was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Perfect property and location for our two family party!

This charming property is just steps away from the ski trail to Lionshead, providing easy access to and from skiing. You can also easily walk to Lionshead and on into the main village of Vail. The house is comfortably equipped for a party of 10 and has just what you need to make your stay enjoyable. The host was super responsive in communications and clearly wants to make your stay perfect.We very much enjoyed our trip and hope to return soon.

Fabulous Snowy Christmas!

We had an amazing family Christmas/new years vacation to the chalet! The snow was coming down and the chalet was cozy, warm, and the perfect place to build memories with our family. Heather is a wonderful host and is always great at communicating.We love Vail, and the Chalet makes all the difference.

Perfect Chalet

My family stayed at the Chalet for 5 nights and loved it! The Chalet has everything you need, a exceptional fireplace, plenty of room, and close proximity to Lionshead Village. Heather is a exceptional host! I would highly recommend staying here!!

Fantastic Ski Location

The property was perfect for our family and friends to enjoy a Christmas ski vacation. Just steps to the gondola in Lionshead with a cozy atmosphere and wonderful wood burning fireplace to return to after a long day of skiing. Kitchen was well equipped and Heather, the hostess, was fantastic to communicate with. We will totally be renting again in the future.

Sufficient space, amazing fire place and exclient proxcimity to the slopes.

The home is a great place to share with friends and family. You can walk to both lion head and Vail villages. I would recommend the home to anyone.

Great skiing

This cabin was great for our family and the walking distance to the slope for skiing is the best. Classic wood cabin with a super fireplace. Heather is great and helpful. We will Be back!!

Vail Forest Road Chalet

The chalet was nice, clean, comfortable, very nice location, easy walk/bike to Lionshead, the Gondola, Gore Creek, etc. The property manager was easy to communicate with and responsive. We would go back again.

Wonderful Skiing Vacation

This was a wonderful house in a great location to the mountain and the village. Owners were wonderful to work with. There for anything I needed. It was a true pleasure. House had everything we needed and more. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Great Vail Vacaton

We had a great stay at Heather’s house in Vail. We loved that it was ski-in/ski-out. The house had everything we needed from kitchen appliances, Wi-Fi and extra towels/linens. Heather met us at check in and gave us a tour of the house and was readily available for any questions during the week.

Perfect location and setting for family vacation

My family and I just spent several weeks at the Chateau and had a great time. The water feature is WONDERFUL and you can hear the creek from nearly every window, the views are wonderful, the location is perfect. The home itself is very comfortable and the owners are very attentive. It was easy for us to settle into a vacation routine and the Chateau was a perfect home base. Miss it already!

Perfect for a large group

This home was perfect for our annual group ski trip! With a total of 6 adults and 3 young kids, there was more than enough room for everyone to have their privacy. The location can't be beat, with Lionshead Village just a short walk away and the slopes right at the end of the street. Hope to be back soon!

Great vintage home surrounded by megamillion mansions. We loved the location although it was more than a few steps to gondola. Really enjoyed the views, watching the snow falling and the fireplace.

Cozy and comfortable chalet very close to the slopes

Wonderful house that was a perfect spot for my family vacation a few weeks ago. The house was clean and comfortable for the 8 people who came out for a week a skiing. About 100 yards to access the slopes was very convenient for the family. Owner lives next door and was very helpful as we shipped a ski box out prior to our arrival. Overall, great experience and will absolutely stay here again if we make another trip out to Vail.

Great "Mountain Feel" Home close to the slopes!

Heather's house is a 5-star property. Surrounded by the encroaching "new money" Vail houses, this place gives the feel of an older, cozier Vail (which I prefer). Plenty of room for 3 kids and 4 adults. Ski storage, warm towering fireplace, and a well-stocked kitchen. The house is about a 5 minute walk to the slopes, and you can even "cheat" after the lifts close and walk the ski trail directly into Lionshead for restaurants and shopping. Would recommend for anyone looking for a home away from home in Vail.

Best Rental in Vail!

My wife and I and our 4 young kids have rented the Chalet for over 70 days over the last three years. It's become somewhat of a family tradition. There is a reason we keep coming back!! I'm having a hard time finding more great things to say about our stay that I haven't previously said, but honestly if you are thinking of coming to Vail don't lose your opportunity to stay here. Can't beat the location as it's walkable to both Lionshead and Vail village. Easy access to the mountain and gondola. Beautiful yard to hang out in in the summer. Very private. Ample Parking. Very Clean. The host, Heather, is easily accessible by text, phone or email and is absolutely top notch. Looking forward to staying again soon! Don't miss out!

Perfect home for family vacation

This was our second year for a family summer vacation at Chalet du Soleil and we had another wonderful time. The house is spacious and comfortable and feels like home. It was perfect for our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children). It had everything we could possibly need, including a pack-n-play for the newest member of our family. The location is ideal so we were able to walk everywhere. Heather is always so pleasant and helpful and we have enjoyed working with her. We plan to return next summer.

Great house

We had a great trip out to Vail (6 guys) and the location of this house was one of the key reasons. The nicely kept house had all the amenities we needed, was a short walk to the mountain and very convenient. Only used the car once to go to the larger Safeway (2 miles away), but you could probably get most of the necessities in Lionshead making a car unnecessary. Heather (owner/manager) was great and very responsive to anything we needed. We would definitely come back.

Fred and Thea Rumford have owned this charming mountain home since 1966 when it was built as a weekend getaway for their family. Skiing is a large part of their lives. They have raised their children to grow up with a tremendous appreciation for the alpine lifestyle. They take great joy in now seeing their grandchildren follow in the ski tracks of their parents.
Thea says, 'The character of Chalet du Soleil is incomparable and is sure to please.'
The Rumfords also take pride in upgrading and maintaining their beautiful home each year.
