Vår lägenhet
Vår lyxiga lägenhet på första våningen i ett hus i jugendstil i Cavalaire Sur-Mer har en grand marmortrappa med cirka 20 trappsteg till 1: a våningen. Veranda med havsutsikt och stor gemensam pool. Stora högt i tak, franska fönster i alla rum och utsikt över bergen från sovrummen. Privat enhet, elektriska portar och parkeringsplatser. Vi har möblerat och utrustat vår rymliga lägenhet till en hög standard för att göra din vistelse så avkopplande och rolig som möjligt. 4 sovplatser plus barn med ett välutrustat kök, matplats för sex och lounge och badrum och separat toalett. Två dubbelrum (ett med två sängar), det andra med en dubbelsäng. Barnsäng finns för spädbarn. Wi-Fi är installerat - så ta med dina mobiler och bärbara datorer.
Vår lägenhet är en perfekt bas för en fantastisk semester i Cavalaire sur Mer med balkongen med utsikt över den stora poolen och havet - ett perfekt ställe att koppla av och njuta av ett glas ros efter en dag på stranden.

Husets historia
Huset ägdes ursprungligen av Baron Haussmann som hans hemvist. Huset kallades ursprungligen "Villa Fantaisie" Huset byggdes 1904. Han var en berömd arkitekt i Paris. Han designade Grand Boulevards i Paris och var också finansminister.

Cavalaire Sur Mer
Cavalaire sur Mer ligger på en sträcka av Medelhavskusten som får mer solljus än någonstans i Frankrike, mer än 3 000 timmar om året! Området har höga mörka tallar, ekar och eukalyptusträd.
Bara 10-15 minuters promenad till staden med intressanta butiker, massor av utmärkta restauranger i småbåtshamnen och i stan, 4 km vita sandstränder och en stor marina. Det finns en avskild sandstrand (Bonporteau), som ligger 15 minuters promenad från vår lägenhet.
Perfekt för strandsemester, vattensporter, dykning, vandring med djupt fiske, cykling, tennis, golf och ridning. Det finns en utmärkt naturskön cykelrutt genom Corniche des Maures i närheten - på väg västerut längs kusten ut från Cavalaire. Den följer den gamla järnvägslinjen så är mestadels platt och nästan helt off road - perfekt för familjer. och härliga kustvandringar längs den berömda Corniche des Maures bara 15 minuters promenad från vår lägenhet.-eller för ytterligare ett fält (se böcker och kartor i lägenheten) Golf vid St Raphaels och Grimaud.

Res till Cavalaire sur Mer
Det är bara 45 minuters bilresa från flygplatsen i Hyeres (40 km) och mindre än 2 timmar från Nice (70 km) och från Marseille. Närmaste järnvägsstation är antingen St Raphael (ca 30 km) eller Toulon (ca 60 km). Tåg från London St Pancreas International (Eurostar & TGV) går direkt till Marseille eller via Paris eller Lille antingen till Toulon, Marseille eller till St Raphael. Det finns en direkt buss till Cavalaire från Toulon (Route St Tropez).

Gulf de St. Tropez och Iles d'Or
Flera större, välkända badorter ligger i närheten och kan nås enkelt med lokal buss. Dessa inkluderar St Tropez (17 km), Ste Maxime (21 km) och Le Lavandou (20 km). De nyligen utvecklade småbåtsstäderna Port-Grimaud (15 km) och Cogolin (16 km) är nu stora turistmål. Fånga färjan från Cavalaire för att besöka den berömda 'îles d'Or': Levantöarna, Porquerolles och Port Cros. Dessa små öar är skyddade nationalparker som har något för alla: sandstränder, signerade stigar och stigar, utomordentligt klart vatten med en skyltad "natur" -spår och gamla forten.

Great Location

We had an excellent stay at this great location. We enjoyed it very much, there is nothing missing, all is available. The pool is great, the flat is great in such a beautiful building. Also the communication, information, etc. is really great. Each question is answered within shortest time. Overall I can highly recommend this property.

Amazing apartment

We had a wonderful and memorable stay. The apt is well equipped, view from the balcony is just beautiful and the swimming pool is really large. The owner Jane was very helpful and suggest lots of good informations about the area.

Wunderschönes Haus an der Cote d´Azur

Ein altes Haus mit Gesicht, renoviert, mit gepflegtem Pool. Die Wohnung im 1. Stock ist mit zwei Schlafzimmern, Wohn-Eßzimmer, Küche (Mikrowelle, Geschirrspüler, Backofen), Bad (Duschwanne, Waschmaschine) und extra WC-Raum praktisch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es gibt Fensterläden gegen Hitze und Helligkeit (wir konnten gut schlafen) sowie in den Räumen einzelne Ventilator-Geräte. Die Besitzerin hat alles auf´s Beste organisiert und beschriftet, so dass man sich sofort zurecht findet. Der Pool wird auch von anderen Nachbarn genutzt, was aber überhaupt kein Nachteil ist. Zu Fuß läuft man ca. 10 Minuten in den Ort und zum Hafen. Von Calvalaire aus kann man gute Ausflüge machen- mit dem Auto (in der Saison ist die Küstenstraße allerdings oft verstopft), mit dem Boot (verschiedene Anbieter) oder mit dem Bus. Strandbusse fahren während der Saison sogar kostenlos.

Beautifully situated appartement with stunning views and gorgeous pool

The apartment is a home from home and more. It is equipped with everything you could possibly possibly need for your holiday. Jane, the owner, provides so much helpful information about the apartment and all the local amenities prior to your stay. She also provides 'treats' to welcome you, a really kind and personal touch we thought. The apartment is very spacious with lots of period features and an interesting history. There is a beautiful staircase up to the apartment from the entrance hall. I would suggest that because it is on the first floor, it may not be suitable for a person who has mobility difficulties. However as it is on the first floor, the views are fabulous from the large balcony where we had breakfast and then a glass of wine in the evening as the sun set....wish we were there now!

Best apartments ever!

If you want to enjoy your holidays at the fairytale you should definitely choose this wonderful place! A very attentive owner, well equipped apartment, very good pool( which was a best option for my children 13 and 10 years old) I could not mention everything, everyone could come and enjoy the stay at this apartment. 100% of our dreams - fulfilled!

Very comfortable and peaceful place. Clean, nice-equipped, you'll find everything you need in the house, like washing-machine, hairdryer, plates, umbrellas (sun & rain 😉), even a selection of DVDs and books, etc. Wonderful sea-view! A place to be! Thanks for two extraordinarily weeks!!!

Amazing Balcony Views

We had a relaxing pool/beach and walking holiday and stayed in this lovely well equipped apartment. The apt was very clean we arrived with sparkling wine and nibbles and some milk for tea or coffee. The apt is in a quiet location but is within 10 mins walk to the town and beaches. There is a large swimming pool which we used every day. We hired a car, but there are lots of buses which go to many places including St Tropez, which we went for the market and for lunch. We always came back to the balcony though for dinner and for a glass of cold rose in the evening. The supermarket -Carrefour- sells everything you would need and the bread and pasty shops sell lovely cakes and pastries as well as the baguette. Although we did go out for Moules and frites, which are excellent here. The owner Jane answered all my questions and was extremely helpful. We will definitely come next year and would recommend the apt to anybody- families or couples or groups of friends

V.comfy apartment in notable building & setting

With straightforward access from Nice airport our four UK based adults had a wonderful stay enjoying the crisp blue skies of late February. Starting our days with breakfast on the balcony overlooking the swimming pool to cocktails in the same spot as the sun started to set. In the meantime our days included walks along the coast and inland hills enjoying the South of France's ambience, cuisine and hospitality!

Excellent location,amazing balcony views

We had a lovely holiday at this property. The owner Jane was very helpful and the apartment was equipped with everything you could need. The nearest beach is within walking distance,but we chose to visit a quieter one just 10 minutes drive away. Jane even provides beach chairs and pool toys. The pool was rarely busy although it is shared by about 10 apartments. We also had fun at Aqualand water park and visiting St Tropez. The only thing missing was a bigger freezer to fit all the ice cream in ,for all those relaxing afternoons on the balcony gazing at the beautiful sea view.

Fantastic Apartment; Cavalaire-sur-Mer

This was our second stay at the apartment having gone there, as a family, for a week last summer. We had a fantastic time last year and an equally wonderful week this summer. The apartment is a real home-from-home with everything provided and catered for. We had a super trip to St Tropez via ferry from Port Grimaud. We went there on the bus, which was incredibly good value for four of us, and the air conditioning in the bus was a great help. We all loved sitting the balcony for our meals, particularly in the evenings, and of course the swimming pool was a great hit again; not crowded at all. Once again the owner, Dr Jane Pryer, gave us such helpful advice before we travelled and the apartment was so clean and welcoming when we arrived with sparking wine, nibbles and chocolate provided to help us feel settled in! This apartment has given us all wonderful memories of a relaxing time in a beautiful part of Southern France, and will help sustain us through our impending British autumn and winter! Amazing

Our week at Castel Haussmann was just perfect. The appartment is located a few minutes walking distance from the town center and from very nice beaches. The appartment is spacious and the balcony big enough so that we could fit 6 persons and enjoy the lovely sea view. Kids loved the pool. This is a fantastic appartment in a private residence, very well equipped. Contact with the owner Jane has always been nice and she is very helpful with any question or request. This is the third time we've been enjoying Jane's appartment and Cavalaire and we are looking forward to returning!

Séjour très relaxant dans un appartement parfaitement équipé

La propriétaire est aux petits soins pour ses hôtes et très attentionnée. Elle met à leur disposition un appartement où il ne manque rien: guides touristiques, livres de cuisine, jeux de société, ustensiles de cuisine, ... On se sent comme chez soi dans cet appartement qui a vraiment une âme et du style et qui est situé dans un environnement calme et verdoyant. Nous avons apprécié de trouver des cartes IGN de toute la région qui nous permis de faire de belles ballades notamment sur le sentier du littoral. La terrasse est très agréable et permet de profiter de la vue sur la piscine et sur la mer au loin. Début avril, le temps était un peu trop frais que pour plonger dans la piscine mais en été on doit avoir envie d'y passer beaucoup de temps. En bref, un appartement à recommender pour qui veut passer des vacances relaxantes et sans souci.

Great place for any family

This is a great place for any type of family. The balcony you can practically live on, which we did. It overlooks the pool and sea which is very nice. Our small kids loved the pool and had a great time playing there with the other kids. A tip if you don't like the crowded beaches in town.. Use your car to go to the roundabout towards La Croix Valmer ( the roundabout where the Spar is), take the first right there and ride up the hill on Boulevard du Littoral. Park just before the corner near the top and walk the steps in between the houses down to the beach. You will be on a nice less crowded beach overlooking the bay from the other side.. The house itself is great, all you want or need is taken care of. It is the best place overall we stayed in next to a really nice house on the Amalfi coast in Praiano, Italy. Wifi works well which is a big plus for me. The fans are handy. The kitchen is well equipped. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfy. You can stay here and enjoy your surroundings well! Contact with Jane (the owner) has always been really nice and she will help you with any request or question that you might have. We will return, when we don't know yet because we like to move around a lot. But if we go back to this area, it will definitely be here!

Paradise on earth

This is the 4th time we have visited Castel Haussmann, although our first visit for a few years as our children have now flown the nest! The balcony has fabulous views of the sea and overlooks the beautiful pool. It is so relaxing and the owner Jane has thought of everything to make your stay complete! My only disappointment is it has become so popular that it can be difficult to book a slot.......so book early!

A wonderful place to stay

We had a lovely time staying here , the apartment is very spacious with lovely big rooms. We spent a lot of time on the balcony which has a wonderful sea view and overlooks the pool. It's only a 5 minute walk (max) into the town centre and beach - we had a great time and will definitely go again.

- sehr schöne Wohnung mit sehr gut ausgestatteter Küche - tolle Lage - 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß in die Innenstadt und zum Strand - vom Bakon sehr schöner Blick auf Cavalaire und das Meer - toller großer Pool wird genutzt von mehreren Wohnungen, dadurch auch Spielkameraden für die Kids - perfekt zum relaxen für Erwachsene und Kinder Außerdem: supernette Betreuung durch den Vermieter

A superb apartment for a very enjoyable holiday.

The moment we climbed the stylish staircase and entered the apartment for the first time we fell in love with it. When we entered the large dining/lounge area with its high ceilings and chateau style windows and opening on to the balcony we realised why people keep coming back(visitors book). The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything from the essential wifi/broadband to dvds, guides and even a needle and thread when I needed one. We could easily have spent our entire holiday relaxing on the balcony and in the picturesque pool area below. A short walk downhill brings you into Cavalaire with its 4km beach. The beach is gently sloping providing safe swimming and had lifeguards stationed along it while we were there. The attractive Marina provided a pleasant backdrop to the many restaurants. A main course and carafe of wine provided a very reasonably priced meal, We especially liked “La Pizzaiolle” and it seemed to be a favourite with the locals too. As with all self catering apartments it is worth noting that there were ample small stores and a larger “Carrefour” at the other end of the main street catering for all the supplies we needed. The local bus service, 3€ for each journey, is an excellent way to discover the area. Our favourite was Grimaud, a hill top village with the remains of a Templar castle at the top and lovely restaurants to be found in the old streets. Saint Tropez needs no explanation and provided plenty of opportunities for photos. A boat trip around the bay, past the super yachts, the houses of the rich and famous and views of Saint Tropez was well worth the 10€. La Lavandou was another beautiful resort, yet again oozing French charm and with palm trees on the beach. Two bus journeys took us to the perched village of Gassin, with breathtaking views which you can enjoy while dining at one of the restaurants. Our final trip was to Port Grimaud, built like a mini Venice with bridges and waterside cafes. From here we took a water taxi across the bay to SaintTropez for a second look before returning on the bus. All the practical info for the holiday, location of shops, bus routes and even flights were all provided by Jane and when we had a problem printing boarding passes Jane responded quickly by email and phone to advise us. All in all, a fantastic apartment, in a beautiful setting, with plenty of places to visit. I unreservedly recommend this apartment and we also look forward to returning.

First Class Apartment

This is a very well equipped apartment. It's owners have thought hard to ensure that your every need is catered for.The pool is excellent and whilst we were there it was used very little by the other residents. It's location is away from the noise of the town, whilst being near enough to enable you to easily walk into Cavalaire for dinner , although the walk is slightly uphill on the way back.Bearing in mind that some 'rentals' are sparsely equipped , with the owners overly-focused on maximising profit , this apartment is by far the best-value we have ever rented.Well done to Jane , who cares greatly that you fully enjoy the home , that she and her husband are proud to share with you.

Castel Haussmann Review

This was our second stay at Castel Haussmann and it didn’t disappoint! As before, this apartment had everything we needed. Jane thinks of everything and really caters for the needs of her guests. The apartment has lots of helpful information on walks, activities and things to see and do. The apartment is located within easy walking distance of the marina which provides a great range of shops, bars and restaurants catering to every budget and taste. The main supermarket really does sell everything. There are beaches within walking distance, but we preferred the beaches just a short drive away where my family engaged in the excellent range of water sports. We went during the May half term and the weather was good. We had good use of the pool which was very relaxing. It is a shared pool, but we found that there were many occasions when we had it all to ourselves. The warm evenings allowed us to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning sea views. The DVD collection kept my teenager amused and the collection of games provided many evenings of family fun and entertainment. We thoroughly recommend this apartment situated in the stunning region of Cavalaire-Sur-Mer. The mix of lush green and spectacular coast line means it has something for everyone.

Super Urlaub

Wir waren im Juni für 2 Wochen in Castle Haussmann. Das Haus ist wunderschön. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und hat alles erdenkliche, was man für einen schönen Urlaub gebrauchen könnte: Balkon mit Meerblick, Swimmingpool, Spülmaschine + Waschmaschine, Bücher, Kochbücher, zahlreiche Wanderkarten, DVDs, Spiele und viel Platz! Wir sind jeden Tag zum Strand gelaufen. Wir genossen die Atmosphare im Ort sehr. Cavalaire hat alles, was man benötigt, aber ohne Stress und ohne zu viel Tourismus. Dennoch ist es nah genug, um Ausflüge in den Nachbarorten wie St. Tropez, Bormes, Ramatuelle .. zu machen, und abends wieder "zu Hause" zu sein. Unsere Kinder (9 und 6) schätzten den Swimming Pool und die Spielsachen für den Pool und Strand, die einem zur Verfügung stehen. Die Vermieterin war äußerst hilfsbereit und half bei der Planung unserer Reise. Der Kontakt war sehr angenehm, immer problemlos und schnell! Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Relaxed living in Castel Haussmann

This is a delightful holiday apartment and extremely well appointed with a well fitted kitchen, comfy beds and numerous DVDs and books. It was especially nice that all the other residents are French, who were all friendly and helpful. The house is a short - though steep - walk or jog from the sea front and Cavalaire, although not as picturesque as some other towns on this coast, has an excellent selection of shops, as well as sea swimming - from beaches or rocks - within walking distance of the apartment. The pool was great and at 15m long enough for swimming lengths and mainly empty through the day, as the other residents used it more in the early evening. The balcony is a great airy place to eat and admire the sea view - overall an excellent place to stay.

We came back to this area after around 30 years. We used to come to this area as a child . We fell in love with the house as soon as we saw it- magnificent house, painted pink which was the original colour
The house was originally owned by Baron Haussmann as his country residence and was converted around 30 years ago into 4 flats.
