Perfect beach stay!

Property was beautiful, the walk to the beach took less than 5 minutes. Kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. It was a perfect place for our family vacation!

Second time vacation at Carolina Beach

We enjoyed our stay in Halt’s Away beach house! It was a short walk to the beach and a quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean with plenty of towels and necessities. We enjoyed sitting on the front desk each morning with our grandchildren. Many memories were made! We highly recommend this beach house.

Very roomy

Very spacious, comfortable. Hard to find an affordable beach home to accommodate 6 people that has 3 bathrooms. That was a big bonus. Short walk to beach. Great location, nice neighborhood.

Great beach getaway.

House was very nice with a lot of space. In a great location for easy beach access and bike rides to shops and great restaurants. Close to Fort Fisher where you can take a short boat ride over to southport for a fun day of shopping and dining. Close to Wilmington and some great breweries.

Lovely, spacious beach house

We enjoyed the cleanliness and spaciousness of this house very much. There were some electrical problems at check in that left us with no lights or TV in the living room for the first 2 days but it was all handled on Monday morning. The neighborhood is very nice with a short, easy walk to the beach. Well-stocked kitchen and nice bedding.

Much needed vacation

Love the idea that we were in walking distance to the beach. The out door shower came in handy to clean off before entering the house. The house had everything we needed. we felt right at home. I would recommend this rental.

Comfortable house, great location

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the house. Perfect for 4 adults and a baby. The location was fantastic, a short walk to the beach. Kitchen was well equipped, and we loved the grill. Only issue was wifi (we were given two different wifi login passwords, but neither were correct). We had requested a crib, but was delivered within 2 hours of our arrival.

Great Family Time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a blast at Halt's Away. The rental was clean and had pretty much everything we needed. The drip coffee pots were under the counter and someone had put it away without cleaning it out so we had to clean it before using it but that was the only thing I saw that needed attention. Having the garage was great because we just pulled our wagon in there when we returned from the beach and did not have to haul things up and down the stairs each time. The beds were comfortable and the distance to the beach was not bad at all. We could easily get to the beach and back.

Great location and a good space for our group of 3 families. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep (3 adults and 4 grown teenagers). The pullout in the bunkroom was not so comfortable and the king bed in the master was drooping on one side, but no overall complaints. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils, and every appliance you might need. Not much pantry space for storing all the food and snacks we brought but we made due. The kitchen sink was not installed well and you have to be careful not to let water go down the sides. A ping pong table was listed, but the "basement/garage" was very musty and table was unusable. The outdoor shower was also not well kept up. Overall a clean place, just needs a bit of love.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Decent family house! My only concern was the front rails on the porch was loose and should be secured for children’s sake. The tub on the first floor didn’t have a tub stopper which would have been nice to take a tub bath in that bathroom. The pillows could use a wash. All coffee mugs were dirty in the cupboard and needed to be re-washed. It was probably in the dishwasher and was not turned on but put away. We hand washed all drinking glasses before we used them which is unfortunate. Condiments were plentiful which was nice. Despite paying for the beds to be made up, they were not and was told that’s because of Covid, If that’s the case they shouldn’t offer that service. I had to ask for a refund. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Missing our Beach House Already

This was our 1st visit to Wilmington Beach and renting through VRBO. We were extremely pleased with the house (easy walk to beach, clean, and plenty kitchen items & beach toys for the kids). Phone app made check-in extremely easy and provided a lot of good information about area restaurants. Can't wait to return!!

Convenient to beach, great amenities

The condo was perfect for our family. The kitchen had every possible appliance with pots, pans and utensils for every coins needs. One things I’d change would be a bigger table for our large family. Also, the master is on the top floor... lots of stairs from the ground level. The advertising didn’t mention the ping pong in the garage m( a big plus) and the full outside shower with hot & cold water( an even bigger plus.) We highly recommend this property.
