Lovely house and beautiful grounds. Location down the road from Gull Pond was terrific. We appreciated Todd's offer for an early check-in and his invitation to use the deck and outdoor shower at the Camp , adjacent to our rental.

Perfect accommodations for a family of various ages. Both buildings are charming and nicely equipped. A short distance from a pond where both non swimmers and distance swimmers are well served. Close to town too. We love it and just signed up to repeat our visit next year.

Great retreat location

Our second Cape Cod vacation was fabulous. We love Wellfleet for being close to ocean, bay and Ptown. We made several runs to pick up and deliver guests to the ferry. Also enjoyed swimming in crystal clear Gull Pond. It was great!

Classic Cape Cod

Beautiful property in a perfect location- short walk to Gull Pond, quick drive to Wellfleet beaches. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Great communication from owners and wonderful place for relaxing vacation.

Memorial day at cape

We had a great time at the cape! For a new experience we rented a sailboat from Jacks boat rentals in wellfleet. We kayak and fish for stripers. Great location for family members with different interests to entertain themselves. Great vacation. Carolyn

Peaceful gem

Beautiful, intimate, well cared for historic home and property. Breezy, shade and sunshine, lovely outdoors and lawn. Perfect for quiet, relaxing vacation retreat. Comfortable beds, kitchen well stocked, great outdoor grill. Many thoughtful touches that make for an easy relaxing visit. Extremely well organized and easy to communicate with host. Walking distance to pond, bikeable to beach and wellfleet center.

Locust House is our go to, and has been for many years

It's very comfortable and flexible, can accommodate a group easily--particularly when you also take the Camp. Makes it easy for different needs to be addressed. New stove and refridgerator definitely pluses. I've already asked to have the same weeks next year!!

We keep coming back!

This summer 2023 marks the sixth or seventh time we have stayed at this small, wonderfully located compound. Having a second space to spread into insures different kinds of experiences for family and friends of different ages, interests, and needs. Its proximity to both a wonderful swimming pond and the ocean is unbeatable. Also close to town for myriad purposes. We've already reserved for another stay in 2024. Need I say more?

Lovely property, great location near fresh and salt water beaches. Would have been nice to know front door was sooo short, or if it were padded. Just shy of 6ft and I hit my head repeatedly despite ducking, it’s still tender weeks later. Not much you can do given the age of the home but marking/padding would be appreciated

Feeling at home away from home

Loved this rental. We are folks who love history and comfort. This house was so comfortable and the owners thought of everything. We could have left half of the things we bought because it was available at this house. Everything you could need to cook is in the kitchen. On our last night we discovered a game in a little round metal case. Cards gave you a case to solve along with clues. Make sure you try it

A Perfect Cape Cod Experience

This charming property was the perfect location for our multi-generational getaway. From the grandparents to the small children, everyone had a great time. The house and the Camp are so cute and the space was spotless. We felt comfortable immediately. The kids loved running around the grounds, playing with the spray toys, boogie boards and other goodies that were thoughtfully stocked in a back room. The adults enjoyed the grill, a very well stocked kitchen and peaceful moments on the grassy, expansive lawn to read and relax. In addition, the location was ideal - a very short walk to lovely Gull pond and very short drives to town and a variety of beaches and nature walks. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

The Camp and Main House Wellfleet

We really enjoyed our stay at the camp and main house. The camp was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 year old. Grandma and Grandpa stayed in the main house and family visited comfortably for a night, staying in the upstairs bedroom which is especially ideal for kids. The staircase is steep so this room is best for little ones or guests who do not need access to the restroom downstairs at night. The location is really quaint and we loved access to Gull Pond, short driving distance to Newcomb Beach and close access to the Beachcomer! The only challenge was the fridge was not working and the hosts were unable to get it fixed or replaced during our stay. The hosts were communicative and did try to remedy the situation with the fridge despite not being able to replace it while we were there. If the fridge is fixed or replaced I would recommend this home without hesitation!

Wonderful property, quiet location and close to gull pond. Well appointed kitchen with everything you need. The out door area is beautiful with grill and fire pit with a perfect spot to gather with family and friends and take in the fresh air and all the beauty the cape has to offer. Hope to go back there again.

A perfect house on the Cape for our family. The location was ideal for getting to the ocean beaches or a quick trip to Wellfleet village. The pond was an easy walk and perfect for a freshwater dip. The house has everything you need and the hosts were very responsive and accommodating. This is an A rental.

We rented the main house and the camp. Everything is very clean and fresh, well equipped and well maintained, with comfortable high quality and new mattresses and pillows. Grounds are lovely with soft grass and flowers and an exuberant abundance of wildlife (we saw a whole flock of turkey chicks!). Quiet setting and the walk to Gull pond is exactly as advertised however it did unfortunately turn out to be too far for my mother to walk.The outdoor shower at the camp was great, even my husband used it, super convenient to access from the bathroom. We used it like a full bath the whole time with no complaints.Mini-splits kept all the spaces comfortable for both cool nights and warm days though the camp did get a little warm for us on the warmest days even with the AC running full tilt. Just something to consider if you are staying during hot season and like a very cool room.Wifi/internet is solid. TV watching options easy and good. Tap water is well water and tastes great.10/10 we have no complaints and would definitely stay again.
