Lovely Weekend Getaway

It was a friends’ weekend getaway to relax and explore new places. The float home was perfect - well located, comfortable, clean, great access to local amenities. The home had everything we needed including parking, and it’s walkable to grocery stores and restaurants, and right on the Spirit Trail that we could bike run and walk for miles. Not to mention the lovely views of the skyline over the water made it perfect for an evening in playing games and watching movies.

This was our 2nd stay at this property, we love the location and the uniqueness of the floating home. It's perfect for our work away from work travels as well as being in a great location for fun.

So much better than promised

What an exceptional rental! The houseboat was an even better experience than the description and photos promised. The location was easy to access, very private, and quiet. The Murphy bed provided priceless views of Vancouver skyline. Watching river otters and seals was very meditative.

Perfect relaxing place to stay

We stayed here for a few nights after the Eras tour and it was a hugely welcome reprieve from the crowds of downtown earlier in our trip. Super short and scenic walk to the seabus and the market at Lonsdale Quay. The view to the (now diamantled) marina are lovely and the living room windows open up fully to take advantage of the sights. Both the main bedroom bed and the Murphy bed were comfortable and having our own bathrooms was a major boon. Especially the deep soaker tub in the main bathroom, man that was a nice surprise after a long day of walking around. The only downside was that the main door was right by the bedroom and the sound of the lock unlocking and the upper unit guests coming in was quite loud. With that being said, most people would already be inside for the night and this wouldn't be an issue, it was because they were coming in late from their concert. The rest of our stay no one was above us so it was very quiet.The host was very responsive, was quick to update us when the unit was available for an early check-in. We would 100% stay here again in the future.

What a GREAT experience

This is a great fun place to stay. We came for a work trip and it was fantastic to be within walking distance of great shops, bars, and restaurants after a long day of working. The place is immaculate and being on the water is a unique experience. Can't wait to come back and stay again.

Our floating home was great. The space was well managed for storing our stuff, and all necessities were there. It's so easy to get to from the Seabus.

Two night stay

Great little Float home. We rented the bottom, suite1. It had a private bedroom and bathroom with a comfortable Murphy bed and additional washroom. The private bedroom is small, but has a queen bed with one side against a wall. Our daughter and her partner were able to go kayaking and enjoyed that very much. The kitchen is bright and roomy with a dining table. The couch could sleep another person. Four adults were perfect in this space.

Three generations up all enjoying ourselves

We had a perfect stay in the North Vancouver float house! It was a great location for a visit to the Capilano extension bridge and visits to Stanley Park. Staying in a float house was a really special experience we will all remember.

What a View!

Everything that was promised, nice to have a separate bedroom for privacy. 2 bathrooms with amazing shower pressure. Can’t say enough about the views to see the city of Vancouver. It was fun to watch the floathome go up and down with the tide. Very little movement. Gated community was a nice touch for security.

Unique experience in nice setting

Staying in a float home was a fun and unique experience and doing so in Vancouver’s beautiful setting was even more special. This home was in a great location, close to restaurants etc and well outfitted including use of kayaks.

Absolutely amazing!

This was a truly remarkable experience. The floating home is peaceful and located in a cute neighborhood with beautiful views. We saw sea lions, fish, and moon jellyfish from the front window. The seabus to downtown Vancouver is a short and scenic walk away. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is about a ten minute drive. The house was in perfect condition and the communication was incredibly detailed and helpful! I've stayed in a lot of short term vacation rentals, and this experience is definitely top of the list. I highly recommend and am so grateful for our time in this floating home!

Wonderful location in a comfortable and unique place

We had a lovely time in our floating home in North Vancouver. The place is small but very comfortable. It is well equipped and has a beautiful view. It is so convenient to be a short walk to the Seabus. Beds were so comfortable and the area quiet and safe. Highly recommend.

Very quiet and peaceful property location

Stay was awesome. From booking, checking in, and checking out. Kris was very prompt replying to any questions we had. The area is very quiet, calming and relaxing. It is very close to the sea bus, and bus transportation. Numerous restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Simply a great location. The check in process can be a little overwhelming at first. You have to locate a lock box for the key, you have to pass through a secured parking lot which had no attendant to ask any questions, you have to find the gate to enter as it is a secure access to the float homes (which has a number code and at first seemed to be a hit or miss, but worked fine for the duration of the trip), and there is a code to the main entrance to the float home and a key to the unit. Once we checked in, this process became routine and was fine. Plus, walking the Spirit Trail eliminates the parking lot and gates which maybe locked. We did not have a vehicle, so did not need to use the parking lot at all. The only recommendation I would have is issuing more than 1 key. We were two couples, and the unit has only one key, which became an additional challenge with orchestrating individual outings. I did notice that the door to the unit has a keypad, so implementing use of this would eliminate this issue. A second key could not be issued according to the information binder. Overall, a great experience and I would return to this property and recommend it.
