Exquisite waterfront cottage

A beautiful cottage on the water!! We enjoyed attending Fan Fest in Guilford. Cottage is 5 minutes to the quaint town. It was a home away from home. Grateful for our stay-Thank you!

Lovely cottage with amazing views!!

My family had a wonderful weekend at this ocean front cottage. Our five-year-old had a blast exploring the beach, searching for shells and ocean treasures, and the two-year-old did her best to catch up. The cottage is super close to town and Bishop’s Orchard, so we spent time on the green and the local pumpkin patch. Cottage was fully stocked with all kitchen gear and linens you could need, and Andrea made the check in and check out process a breeze. Highly recommend and hope to come back soon!

Magical Memories for a Lifetime1

This vacation rental exceeded all our expectations! We recently stayed here with our two children, and it was truly a magical experience. Everything about the property was perfect, and it felt even better than the description online. What We Loved: Family-Friendly: The property was perfectly set up for our family. Our children had a blast exploring the property, enjoying hours of fun on the sand and kayaking, collecting shells and playing board games together. Beyond Expectations: We were delighted to find welcome treats and wine waiting for us upon arrival. Andrea, the property manager, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The owner was very thoughtful in the design of the property, everything was perfect. These little touches really made the difference for our stay. Location, Location, Location: The location was absolutely stunning! The breathtaking views and perfect spot on the cove were a highlight of our vacation. We also enjoyed being close to historic downtown Guilford, which offered plenty of quaint shops and restaurants to explore. Memorable Moments: Waking up every morning to the stunning view and having private access to the cove/beach were truly memorable moments. We will cherish these memories for years to come. Highly Recommended! We would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a perfect family getaway. The hosts were fantastic, and the property itself was truly magical. We can't wait to return someday!

Absolutely stunning!

The moment we arrived, we were in awe! The view is absolutely stunning. The home is by far the cleanest home we have ever stayed in, and had everything needed for a long stay. The fire pit and grill were major bonuses! We will definitely come back to this property in the future for some much needed relaxation! The town is the sweetest little town with quaint shops. The property is located in the most beautiful setting and is extremely quiet with very little traffic. The owners and property manager have seriously gone above and beyond with this home! It was a wonderful week!

Wonderful - had to return to this rental!

We had such an awesome experience in June that when we saw time free up in late August we could not resist. This location is one of the most serene waterfronts you can experience. Thank you to the Horton's for such a lovely home and Andrea for another carefree stay with immediate attention to our text messages and helpful hints for around town. Amazing Location

We cannot even start to describe the wonderful stay we had at the Horton’s rental. We started off by receiving a welcome from our host Andrea with easy-to-follow information for check in. As soon as you pull up to the house you will be amazed at the beautiful, peaceful, Joshua Cove Ocean front lot. The host left us treats from Bishops Orchards and a bottle of wine. The home was warm and welcoming – better than described in the photos online. The home is bigger than expected and had everything you will need to enjoy your stay. The furnishings were well planned out and the master king size bed was one of the most comfortable mattresses we have slept on (we did not use the other bedroom). The space was big, airy, and bright. There was lots of comfortable outdoor seating for everyone. Views, games, cooking supplies, sundries, fireplaces (indoor and outdoor), coffee/tea, and toiletries were all there for us to use. The views in this home cannot be beat. We have spent several vacations near the beach where the property becomes just a home base where you sleep and eagerly get out in the morning. This was totally different - we didn’t even want to leave the house - the house WAS the vacation. Thank you, Andrea and the Horton’s… we can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing property & location

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, very well equipped and in a great location with stunning views. We appreciated the goodies upon our arrival and the warm welcome as well as all the support from Andrea who was very responsive on the couple of occasions we had questions. Absolute perfection

This is a perfect waterfront getaway. Unbelievable views. Great backyard for entertaining. The house is decorated beautifully. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is perfect and completely equipped. Andrea the property manager was the best we ever had. She was so responsive and accommodating. The town is just perfect. You will not regret choosing this house!

Just book it, you won’t regret it!

Quite getaway.. endless exploring for kids…. Comfy beds… clean and worth every penny! My kids 8, 3 and 8 month old had a blast! Sheets, blankets, towels, kitchen gadgets, soaps, paper products, everything has been meticulously thought of and provided. Outdoor games, kayaks, hammock, grill, outdoor fridge, tiki torches, and so much more!! I didn’t hear my kid say he was bored ONCE!! That says it all. Suggestions… if you have kids bring life jackets and a good pair of strong durable water shoes. At high tide water play is all they wanted. At low tide it was all about discovering and with a lot of hermit crabs, muscles and oysters (yum!) around you want their feet protected with some durable water shoes. I’m always on top of my kids, but at this home it was so easy to let them play on the beach without me needing to be on top of them. Also, if you like fishing bring your rod! High tide is great for fishing and the fish were jumping! Neighbors are quiet and friendly. (Not sure why some other reviews mentioned the barking dog, but we didn’t know they had a dog until days into the trip!) Plenty of near by things to do as well! Great bagels at Deke’s, there is a kid museum in Niantic, a Dave and Busters, Bishops Oarchard was a great spot for ice cream and some local goodies. Also a bunch of great breweries near by. I want to go back!!

Relaxing Haven

Location wonderful! Interior decor very tasteful, updated appliances and all supplies one could possibly need. A few minor details to be remedied, i.e., sliding screen doors out of alignment, confusing TV remote(s), dishes not always clean after running dishwasher, 1 exterior spotlight out. A notebook with information about the area, recommended restaurants, nearest grocery store, etc. would be helpful. Barking dogs next door very annoying.

Summer getaway

Every summer we rent a house on the shoreline. This year we rented this beautiful home in Guilford. From booking the stay to walking through the front door everything was smooth and easy. The house was very clean fully stocked with everything you can imagine. They spared no expense. The outdoor area is breathtaking with all the patio furniture and the fire pit made our stay very relaxing. The sunsets 🌅 of course were breathtaking.The location is so convenient minutes from shopping and restaurants. We are definitely looking forward to coming back next year. Thank you Kenny we truly enjoyed our family vacation.

Great place especially for outdoor gatherings

This property was great for hosting friends for meals outside right on the Cove, with everything needed to entertain right there — the grill, fridge, hammock, outdoor shower & toilet. Enough parking area for a few cars, which has not been the case in our other Shore rentals. The view is spectacular, seen also from the big open well-equipped kitchen with large windows. The interior is spacious and beautifully decorated. I especially loved watching the shorebirds at low tide. We had a great stay with our adult children and would happily return.
