wedding weekend

it was the perfect location for our extended family. we were in town for a wedding located in downtown Janesville, just 5 min away. The game room kept the teens busy. the multiple bedrooms on the main floor was great for grandparents. The owner was very attentive to any needs/questions.

Cozy family stay

The home had everything we needed for a quiet family getaway. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. Our nephew loved the game room and the whole family enjoyed having loads of outdoor space.

Rock River Thanksgiving

Jamie is a wonderful host who went way beyond the norm to make our visit a success. She had a ramp to accommodate my mom’s wheelchair and set up tables to seat 15 guests and generally made our Thanksgiving a success.

Lovely Family Home

Enjoyed the shady tree by the river. There was plenty to do on the property, from the game room to watching boats on the river. My whole family (aged 2 to 88) loved the stay.

Great house

This was a perfect spot for a get together with 3 couples. The house was very clean and well stocked. The communication with Jaime, one of the owners, was excellent. She called us before our stay to see if we had any questions or concerns. She was very accommodating while we were there as well. It was a great place to stay!

Literally everything was perfect!! Our host went above and beyond and made us feel welcome and at home. The house was spotless, happy, it’s even prettier than the photos. We will definitely stay again. I can’t recommend it enough!

Absolutely Beautiful Home

We were in town for my brother’s memorial service. Four of my family members and their family stayed at the home. We had such a wonderful time remembering my brother and enjoying each others company. We decided to make it a priority to get together every year.

Wonderful Stay

Our family had another fantastic stay Christmas week. Same as last year. The air hockey and basketball games were the highlight. Plus there were plenty of other activities available to fill the time for everyone. The host is very helpful.

Well -Appointed & Peaceful Retreat

This home is beautiful, clean, & peaceful. Jamie, one of the owner/managers, checked in with us before & after our stay & just made us feel so welcome. We were in town for a funeral & having such a restful place to return to was very nice. Our teenager was also well taken care of with the stellar entertainment/living space in the lower level. I would give this place six stars if I could!

Peaceful

Arrived on a Friday and the checkin was a breeze. Talked with the manager a few days beforehand about dinning and activities in the area. Very nice home and had everything we needed. Relaxing fire pit by the river that was really nice with a big open yard. If we are in the area again we will be looking to come back!

Long weekend in Janesville

Stayed in this house with seven others for four days. It was just as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. Great view of the river. Plenty of parking for four cars. Owner was very easy to communicate with. Check in could not have been easier. We had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend.

Stay here!

Very clean, comfortable house in a beautiful setting. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to stay in the same house. Wonderful deck for sunny days and gorgeous sunsets, as well as a cozy fireplace for chillier days and nights. Well appointed kitchen. Lots of fun board games, air hockey, old time video games and a karaoke machine too! The hosts went above and beyond, they truly care and it shows. We had an issue at a very inconvenient time for the host and they solved it completely in less than an hour. I mean it - STAY HERE!

Cozy Winter Retreat

The Rock River Retreat was the perfect place for an extended family weekend. There was a total of 14 guests and this house accommodated everyone in extreme comfort. We had ample room to spread out and there were also plenty of great gathering spaces. The view of the river from the west side of the house is breathtaking--we spotted bald eagles all during the weekend! Communication with our host, Jaime was super easy and whenever I contacted her with a question I received a response within minutes. It was a family consensus that we would come back here whenever we wanted to get together!

Great multi-family vacation

This was our third return to the Rock Riverside Retreat and it did not disappoint! Jaime and the owners are extremely accommodating and quick to respond. There was even a tornado that went through Janesville two days before our arrival and we were still able to check in early! :) The house, of course, is great. Clean, plenty of space, great for families with kids of all ages. We enjoyed the little beach even though the river level was high. We used the ping pong table, and the grade-school aged kids really loved the game room this year. (And bunk room with a secret door to the game room!) Had a great time! See you next year!

Perfect Family Retreat

We chose the Rock Riverside Retreat for a belated family Christmas, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The home was large enough to accommodate 14 guests and extremely comfortable. We had enough space to spread out and there were also some cozy gathering spaces, including a sitting area with a wonderful fireplace. The kitchen was large and well-equipped--lots of cooking happened that weekend! Our host, Jaime was extremely easy to communicate with. Rave reviews from all!

Fantastic home for large group

The house is great! We had 3 generations of family staying there for 4 days/nights. It works very well for large groups, as there is ample space, with multiple living areas. It worked well to gather together, as well as to give different groups their own space as desired. The kids loved the game room and closet full of board games. The kitchen and everything in the house is very well-stocked. They even pulled out a couple of high chairs for our little ones. The big back yard right on the river is amazing. The property owner was extremely helpful and proactively communicated, providing all info needed, including great recommendations on activities in the area. The location is terrific....easy to get to parks, walking/running paths, and downtown. I highly recommend this home, especially for large families / groups.

Family weekend

We found the house to be more than accommodating. Plenty of room for all. It was clean and well equipped. The front yard was huge with a nice little sandy beach. Our age range was 3-84 and everyone felt comfortable. They have so many indoor and outdoor games. We had trouble deciding on which ones to play. The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Thanks Jaime for making our weekend perfect! Only raving reviews for the hosts!!
