The house is on a quiet street. Here are our House Rules: 1. Smoking is NOT allowed. 2. Only those in the group with the guest renting the house may stay overnight in the property. 3. No parties. This will be strictly enforced by the local police, and our neighbors, who will call us or the authorities if large groups are seen at the house. 4. The house is privately owned; as the owners, we are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 5. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. If something breaks, please let us know immediately. 6. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 7. Pets are not allowed. 8. Parking is limited to the driveway. Parking on the road is not permitted. 9. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the house, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We have some beach towels but suggest you bring more. 10. Pool: Use at your own risk. We have a pool cleaning service that will clean the pool prior to your arrival, and after you depart. There are pool toys in the chest near the grill. 11. Fireplace: The fireplace is a non-vented propane gas log fired firebox. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the fireplace. Please email us if you are interested in using it and we will provide instructions. 12. Storms: No refunds will be given for storms. 13. Noise and Lights: Please be respectful of the neighbors; again, no parties. Outdoor lights should be turned out after use at night to avoid confusing the wildlife. (It’s a Shelter Island thing.)
