Great place for an extended stay, just about perfect

The property has lots of room, all of the amenities, great view of the ocean, nice pool. Great place to wind down 3 weeks of travel. Very well managed, with a very responsive staff (Juliana)

Villa in Luz

Lovely villa, beautiful location with fab views. Villa clean spacious and well equipped. Lovely quiet area but only ten minute walk to restaurants,bars and beach. Five min drive to other local beaches and Lagos. Would thoroughly recommend had a great holiday.

Perfect relaxation

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The outdoor spaces were very enjoyable with beautiful gardens, lovely pool and stunning views of the sea and cliffs.

Lovely Property

We were really impressed by the property, particularly the lovely outside space and the view of the sea from the upstairs balcony. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the short walk into Luz to the beach and restaurants. Also a great base for visiting and exploring other resorts. Plenty to do and see in the area and supermarkets within easy reach.

Great holiday on nice location

Located on a cul de sac this property is very quiet and offers splendid views over Praia da Luz. Well furnished and with plenty of all the kitchen accessories one might need, the sole minus being the ants. Nice grill outside and dining on the balcony was a must for us every night.

Lovely place to stay

We totally enjoyed our house- spacious, well equipped and the view from the balcony as well as from the pool was stunning. The neighborhood is quiet and cosy, quick drive to Luz center and the beach. Walking not too far either. We might well come back another time.

Lovely villa

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely villa which is in a quiet location in Luz. It had everything we needed for our stay, was very clean and had a terrace with a fantastic view out over the bay. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden by the pool, surrounded by beautiful plants. Everything went smoothly from booking to arrival, the owner very kindly left refreshments and essentials for us in the kitchen. We had a fabulous two weeks and would love to stay again in future.

Wonderful holiday

The Villa is more beautiful than it appears online, there is everything you would ever need, like being home from home. The gardens are beautiful and colourful. You have a choice of 4 eating areas around the villa. We enjoyed a lovely barbecue. The shops and beach are a short walk away. And there are many restaurants to eat out. We had the most relaxed holiday, we were lucky enough to see a whale on our day out on a boat. The caves and coves are spectacular. Would highly recommend this villa and such a beautiful area. Will definitely go back and recommend to my friends

We loved our stay at this villa once we gained entry on the Sunday after Portugal Day. Local management company not available. Had to call England to get code. After bumpy start, everything was perfect. View great Loved outdoor patio, pool, balcony. Spacious with many unexpected amenities.

Fantastic Villa!!

Fantastic villa in a fantastic location!! We had such a lovely time staying in Bob and Sandra’s villa. The communication with the owners was brilliant and they answered any questions we had. The villa is so much bigger than it looks in the pictures and the views are amazing. We could walk into Luz where there are some lovely restaurants and also it was only about a 10 min drive into Lagos. It’s definitely a perfect base for exploring. We will definitely be recommending it to family and friends and will also love to come back again ourselves. Thanks Bob and Sandra for letting us stay in your lovely villa xxxx

Brilliant villa, a short walk from the town

The villa was great and a lot bigger than we were expecting. We had an issue with the entrance code, but this was quickly rectified by the agent. The pool was brilliant and our toddler really enjoyed it. Privacy is good as its the end unit and not overlooked. Walk to restaurants or beach was 15-20minutes. There is a bus stop at the end of the road so easy access to Burgau or Lagos.

Amazing Villa

We have just returned from a very relaxing family holiday in Luz. Have to say our stay at the villa was amazing. What a beautiful place, with the most panoramic views, and tranquil gardens. Both our two boys age 10 and 12 loved the heated pool. I would definitely recommend it this time of year to. To sum up this is a lovely homely and immaculately clean villa, in a quiet position and within easy striking distance of the town (10 mins walk), with its lovely restaurants (ondaluz) to name one. I would highly recommend a stay here. We will definitely return. Thanks for the memories.....

Fantastic stay - highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The property was perfectly clean and the location was great (10 minute walk downhill to the town centre, shop and restaurants, 15 minutes to the beach). The outdoor garden area was beautiful with three outdoor seating areas (one on the terrace, one by the pool and one at the front of the property), and was full of beautiful flowers and fruit trees. The pool was a great size and there were 5 sun loungers for use at the property. Before our holiday we saw a review stating there were rats around the property however we didn’t see any rats during our entire stay, and the place was immaculately clean. Great communication with the owner who helped us to book a transfer taxi from the airport to the property (EUR 170 for our journey to and from the airport). The view from the property was also stunning, looking across the sea. The kitchen was fully equipped and bath towels were also provided, and there was a fan in the double bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family!

No escape from the rat run

Positives: Breathtaking view. Good location. Luz is a nice pleasant place and is walking distance. Lagos is a fantastic, vibrant place and only a 10 minute car journey away. The villa has 3 Bathrooms, good facilities all round and it's spacious. Can tell the owner has pride in the place, the way the interior is decorated. The shutters are great at keeping the sun out and extra security. The pool was ideal, the kids loved it. Negatives: On the first day I saw a rat in the garden. I tried to pretend it didn't happen and forget about it. Later that day I saw more. I reported it and the villa management company got straight back to me. They arranged pest control to come out for the next day. Pest control left some bait boxes in the garden. However this did not make a difference and throughout the holiday (11 nights)we saw rats several times daily without any signs of improvement. Each and every day we were sunbathing with one eye open, was stressed with the kids opening the doors about them getting in. Obviously for health reasons we didn't use the BBQ. I have heard that the owner is removing the vines as the rats were attracted to the grapes. That is a positive step to help resolve the the problem but I think neighbouring villas will have to take action as well to successfully eliminate these pests. Overall I can see why this villa has had rave reviews in the past. This suggests the rat problem is new and the management company said we were the first to report them. They must have rocked up for our first day. Fairplay to then for getting pest control out, but after this, they didn't seem bothered about our concerns. We had a good holiday overall. Though it has to be said the rats certainly had a negative impact on our stay and being honest I would rather have stayed at an inferior villa that was rat free.

We hadden een fantastisch verblijf in Luz

De woning is gezellig ingericht en voorzien van alle comfort,we voelden ons er direct "thuis"Rustige ligging aan een doodlopende weg met prachtig zicht op zee en de Rocha Negra.Goede uitvalsbasis om de mooie omgeving te verkennen.Het contact met Luz Services verliep vlot.Bij aankomst waren enkele basisvoedingsproducten voorzien en na een week schoonmaak en vers bed-en linnengoed.Zeker een aanrader!

Nicht vertrauenswürdig!!!

Das Objekt ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Mit Familie eigentlich super geeignet. Die Pfannen sollten ausgetauscht werden, da sich die Beschichtung ablöst. Leider Kunstrasen. Ganz ärgerlich die Abreise. Wir haben die Schlüssel zurück in die Schlüsselbox außerhalb des Hauses getan, wo wir den Schlüssel auch empfangen hatten. Später wurde behauptet, wir hätten den Schlüssel von innen im Schloss des Hauses stecken lassen. Deshalb hätte der Schlüsseldienst gerufen werden werden müssen, der 80 Euro kostete. Trotz unserer Versicherung, dass wir den Schlüssel ordnungsgemäß deponiert haben, wurden uns 80 Euro von der Kreditkarte abgebucht. Jemand hat auf jeden Fall auf unsere Kosten Geld verdient, oder seinen eigenen Fehler auf uns geschoben. Nicht sehr vertrauenswürdig das Ganze. Schade!

Sehr schönes Haus mit Aufenthaltsqualität und toller Sicht aufs Meer

Ca. 10-15 Min. zu Fuß ans Meer. In ruhiger Umgebung und sehr gut ausgestattet. In der Küche fehlt nichts. Netter Garten; um den Pool Rasenteppich. Wir haben hier gut gelaunt mit Blick aufs Meer auch einen Regentag abgewettert. Gemütliche Einrichtung. Hier wohnen auch die Eigentümer von Zrit zu Zeit.

My wife and I live in the Northwest of England. We try to spend at least three months each year at the villa. We have been going to the area for more than twenty years. We love the area and have found the people to be very friendly.

Varför värden valde detta boende

I suppose the main reason for buying the villa was the position and the view. The view is wonderful, the villa faces south and gets loads of sun. The position of the house is away from traffic and crowds. Luz is relatively quiet, which we like but is near to Lagos which has loads of restaurants and good nightlife. Luz is also very easy to get to from Faro airport, under an hour by car.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We have fitted the house to live in so have made it a comfortable as possible and we are always trying to make improvements to it. The villa is not far from all amenities and we walk down to the shops for papers, food and the odd bottle of wine. I think that we have had meals in every restaurant in the village and would go back to most of theml. There are plenty around the area to be recommended. One of the other things that was important to my wife and I is that in the village there is a very good doctor and a dentist for the odd emergency. Thanks goodness not yet required!
