Denna vackra stuga byggdes av det Congested District Board 1903 och har just renoverats och har en 4 * -klassning med Irish Tourist Authority. Beläget i den lilla byn Bracklagh, har den blivit färdig till en mycket hög standard med ett nytt badrum och kök, ensuite våt rum, ved / torv braskamin, sky + HD, dockningsstation för iPod, digital Roberts radio, linne från The White Företag, handduksrockar och golvvärme via en grundvattenvärmepump. En renoverad höstal är idealisk för parkering, medan en andra, låsbar ladugård är idealisk för att lagra cyklar, surfbrädor och liknande. Bracklagh är väldigt tyst och ett fristad för djurliv - särskilt harar.

Very Enjoyable Stay

This is a lovely place to stay. Very warm and cosy and well-organised. Lots of hot water. The owners were a pleasure to deal with.

A wonderful holiday cottage with fantastic hosts!

After our experience at the last cottage, which was less than welcoming (guest instructions posted like confetti around whole house), cluttered, and unclean, we weren't sure what to expect.We weren’t disappointed! Seán allowed us to check in early and met us at their cottage to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for more!The cottage was spotlessly clean and had some basic supplies (tea, sugar, etc.). We took advantage of Suzi's cooking and generosity by ordering her soda bread and a cottage pie for two which would easily feed four and all for a very reasonable 25...thank you, Suzi We humans soon made friends with the resident cats, who thankfully were very dog savvy moggies, although our dogs were less entranced Would we recommend? Undoubtably!Would we come again? Absolutely!

Lovely house exactly as seen and described. Very good hosts, had a folder full of information for things to do whilst you are staying there. Beautiful views of the night sky due to the rural location of the property.

Perfect

This location was ideal for us and our dogs as we needed to escape the madness of fireworks over Halloween and enjoy a quiet countryside break. The property was clean and well cared for and had all the facilities we needed. The owner was always on hand to deal with any issues and it was the icing on the cake to have the company of their cats and ponies

Amazing property

This property was in an excellent location with bpth claremorris and ballyhaunis near-by with plenty of shops,restaurants and bars. The cottage was cosy, clean and had everything we needed.... We will definitely stay here again 👍😁

Beautiful cottage and lovely owners

Unfortunately this was a work trip so I didn’t get to explore the beautiful countryside as much as I would have liked but the cottage was absolutely beautiful. Really well equipped and comfortable. The owners Seán & Suzi were warm and welcoming. Great place to come back to after a hard days work but I would love to bring the family back for a wee holiday sometime. First class.

We moved back to Mayo in 2000 after 10 years of renovating Seán's family home - it took so long because of time and budget constraints. and we were joined in December by our daughter, Muirgheal. The family has now grown to include a donkey, 2 alpacas, 4 dogs, 2 miniature shetland ponies, 4 cats, 3 terrapins and 2 fish. The renovations bug took hold again in 2003 and we bought the dilapidated cottage which is now Tigh Mhic. We love the peace and quiet and empty spaces of Mayo and though others would too so planned the work with the idea of providing a home from home holiday cottage. What we didn't realise was how much we would enjoy sharing our love of east Mayo. Tigh Mhic is less than 3 miles from home which makes it easy to be on hand to help our visitors and maintain the cottage to the highest standards.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Mick's Place is a fully restored cottage. It is in such a peaceful setting we have taken ourselves off there for our own holidays! If you are out at the front and a vehicle goes past you look up and is not a common sight. You are definitely out in the country with the possibility of spotting hares, hawks, herons, foxes and swallows but only under 10 minutes from the small hub of Claremorris which offers shops, supermarkets, pubs, leisure facilities (including golf club and swimming pool), coffee shops and restaurants.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Our joys are gentle walks, occasional cycle rides, sitting with a good book and a glass of wine and spotting nature. These interests are definitely well served at Mick's Place. We also love the fact that Tig Mhic is well placed for day trips to Westport, Achill, Galway, Sligo, Carrick on Shannon and Roscommon..to name but a few of the beautiful places to visit in the west of Ireland
