Ett varmt välkomnande väntar på dig i Chezfreddie, ett traditionellt hus i Charentais i en lugn by, som erbjuder semesterbostad. Chezfreddies boende passar lika bra för familjesemestrar eller grupper av vänner. Fått 4 stjärnor av avdelningen, vi är öppna året runt. Kortuthyrning (3 dagar eller mer) finns utanför sommarsäsongen.
Huset har dubbla, tvåbäddsrum eller trebäddsrum med sovplats för 13, med 2 barnsängar också tillgängliga. Alla rum har eget badrum, dubbelglas och centralt uppvärmd. Ägaren bor på plats.
Nedervåningen finns en stor matsal med vedspis, en lugn lounge med TV (franska och engelska kanaler) och ett välutrustat kök med gasbrännare, elektrisk ugn, mikrovågsugn och kyl / frys. Tvättstuga har diskmaskin, tvättmaskin och torktumlare
Den 1. 5 tunnland stora trädgården erbjuder en 11x5 meter uppvärmd pool, plan lekplats för fotboll eller badminton och en lekterrass för bordtennis eller dart. En grill och cyklar finns också.

Bonne ambiance entre amis. Gîte très confortable. Hôte sympathique. Beaucoup de randos possibles et de petits villages à traverser.

Superbe gîte pour un séjour en famille

Grand gîte 6 chambres avec 6 salles de douches, parfait pour un séjour en famille.Freddy est très gentil et très accueillant. Il avait même installé un sapin décoré pour notre réveillon de Noël. C'est une vieille maison pleine de charme, un peu froide en hiver, mais qui doit être parfaite en été avec sa piscine

Family Holiday

This is a spacious, very well-equipped house decorated in typical French style. Tony was friendly and helpful and on-site next door in case of emergencies. We did not want for anything. The location is fairly remote and quiet and but absolutely stunning - just perfect place for a quiet family holiday with children with plenty of local markets during the week. However, the house did smell a bit musty and to be honest it was very tired. Some of the tiles around the pool were uneven, loose and missing grouting which was a bit tricky with the little ones. Also, rotten fallen apples were left on the lawn attracting a lot of flies which was a bit unpleasant. Overall it was an amazingly spacious and comfortable house with lots of family games on site, table tennis, badminton, boules etc. Brilliant. TCH

Excellent base for days out

The hose was an ideal base for 10 of us most on motorcycles for having days out. The house was clean and has a kitchen which has all you need to cook if you want to. As luggage space is limited on the bikes the washing machine was a godsend. The host was great and was on hand in the next building if required. The dining room and lounge were comfortable and big enough for our whole group. There is a 10 minute drive to the nearest town with a supermarket and bar and restaurants which was pretty good. The house itself was in a quiet location ideal for relaxing All in all we had a great stay in a nice location. Thanks for a great stay Tony.

LEUKE VAKANTIE

We hebben een zeer leuk verblijf gehad bij CHEZ FREDDIE. Tony was zeer vriendelijk en steeds ter beschikking indien er problemen waren. Het interieur is wat verouderd en heeft nood aan een opfrissing. Maar Tony had al plannen gemaakt hiervoor. Dat het domein volledig is afgebakend is een enorm plusunt bij honden en kleine kinderen. Een paar speeltuigen voor kleinere kinderen zou nog een extra meerwaarde geven.

Lovely stay

The garden and outside of the property is far better than shown on pictures and highly suitable for young kids or even teenagers. A fenced off large garden with many outdoor activities on a big lawn was very useful. The inside is spacious for large families, albeit with the interior somewhat dated and in need of a few repairs / refresh. Tony is an excellent host who was very obliging to all requests and on hand at any stage. Thank you!

Zeer correcte vakantiewoning voor deze prijs. Alles was aanwezig, maar een beetje oubollig. Het terrein was zeer aangenaam, veel ruimte in een mooie omgeving.

Location bucolique dans le calme de la campagne

Un week-end prolongé de 3 jours très agréable : la propriété est idéale pour les retrouvailles entre amis ou grande famille (chaque chambre est équipée d'une salle d'eau, plusieurs WC répartis aux différents niveaux, la vaisselle est présente en nombre et propre ! Il y a deux réfrigérateurs : assez de chaises et de places autour de la table pour 13 !). Le jardin est très agréable. Il était encore un peu tôt dans la saison et la piscine n'était pas ouverte mais ça ne nous a pas manqué car nous avons pu profiter des nombreux jeux extérieurs à notre disposition (ping pong, fléchettes, foot, badminton, freesbee, chaises longues...). Deux petits bémols (parce que tout ne peut pas être parfait !) : certaines chambres n'ont pas de volets et les rideaux ne sont pas assez occultants... un réveil aux aurores ! et le signal Wifi est assez faible... ce qui peut être parfait pour déconnecter ! Mais vraiment, nous recommandons ce lieu et y retournerons probablement !

Belle et grande maison correspondant parfaitement à un séjour avec une grande famille. Il ne manque rien au niveau équipements, grand terrain avec jeux, calme absolu et Tony, le propriétaire, est charmant et aux petits soins. Très bon souvenir.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location

Travelling a long distance by car can be quite daunting when you don't know what awaits you at the other end. However having had regular contact with Tony before setting off, he made it clear we could check in any time and was very flexible. This made things more relaxing without the need to rush. He was excellent with communications from the start well before we set off and was happy to answer any questions we had. Having arrived in France and updating Tony on our estinated arrival time, he again made us feel relaxed about our arrival time, even though it was going to be about 1-2am, he would wait up for us. He greeted us when we arrived, and showed us around explaining about the house and the grounds. The house was beautifully furnished, and was full of character. We were a family of 13 with 2 little dogs so needed a large house. We all slept really well in the comfy beds, and had plenty of bathrooms to use. The kitchen was large and had the basics like seasoning, coffee and tea and plenty of fridge and storage space available, with washing machine and dish washer available also. The garden was very large and well presented with lots of space to run around for both the kids and the dogs. The dogs loved it having the secure space to run around it. There is an electric gate to the front which we were given remote controls to operate which made life very easy for leaving and entering, leaving the house secure. The garden was full of games like swing ball, football goals, volleyball net, badminton racquets, table tennis, and everything to use them. It was great for doing an Easter Egg Hunt with lots of places to hide them. Tony checked in with us every day to see that we were OK and to help with anything that we needed help with. He was very friendly and couldn't have done anything more for us. Unfortunately we weren't able to use the pool as it was too cold and out of the summer season, but it looked lovely in the gated area and would be great in the warmer months. The area is very quiet, perfect if you want peace and quiet away from the busy life. Great for little walks with the family and dogs. We really loved the house and would definitely return if we returned in a large group. We would certainly recommend this house and Tony for any holidays where you are travelling in a large group.

Excellent property and facilities. Tony the owner was very friendly and helpful both prior to and during our stay. Great spacious garden and perfect size swimming pool made the property perfect for our group of 10.

Very lovely property with everthing you need and more

We had a lovely stay at Tony's property. The house is as descibed and even better than the pictures. Plenty of space more than enough to make your stay very comfortable. Tony was on hand if needed as he lives on sight in a seperate property but complete discretion. The pool is amazing and so many games and activities to do. Quite remote in terms of amenities however with that being said the local town and supermarket is only 10 mins drive. This holiday was delayed from 2020 and Tony has been 100% flexible with having to move the holiday twice. Communication was good and Tony was very helpful and speedy in his replies. A wonderful holiday had by all. Thank you Tony 😊

Super location

Très bon séjour dans cette propriété, bien équipé et très agréable pour passer un séjour entre amis avec des enfants. Lit bébé, chaise haute, couverts en plastique ect .. tout est prévu pour les enfants et les adultes ! Tony est très accueillant et très sympathique ! Merci bcp !!!

Idéal pour des vacances entre amis ou en famille

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans la belle et grande maison. Le grand terrain, la piscine, les jeux disponibles sur place, le fait qu’il y’ait une douche dans chacune des chambres, etc tout est fait est poncé pour des groupes et cela rend le séjour très agréable. Super séjour dans ce super gîte. Tranquillité, super bien équipé, très propre, et espaces extérieurs parfaits. Nous nous retrouvons chaque année dans un gîte différent et celui ci avait tout ce que l'on cherche. Le parc est très beau et la piscine chauffée rajoute un plus au séjour.

Tony Clark är värd

We, Ann and Tony, bought the property in February 0f 2017. Previously Tony worked off shore when the oil prices were good and Ann was a practicing midwife. Our 4 sons have remained in the UK and visit often. Chez Freddie had been successfully ran as a gite for many years prior. Since moving over from the UK we have been busy revamping rooms and decor, adding a large family size BBQ and new pool and garden furniture.
We brought our 3 small friendly dogs and 4 cats with us. That was a long journey !
We reside on site but are gated away from the rental property. Always here if you need us. Out of sight if you don't.

Chez Freddie has everything you will need for a family holiday plus much more. Our kitchen is fully equipped for 13 adults plus toddlers/babies. All rooms have en suite facilities. We have many garden games, board games, DVDs and books galore. TV is in French and English. WiFi is included in the package.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We also have a small rowing boat "Freddie" which you can take out along the Boutonne which runs past the orchard at the far end of the garden. Fishing equipment is available, the Boutonne being a grade A trout fishing river.
Lots of cycle tracks in and around the area and further into the town of Chef Boutonne is a large fishing lake and camp site.
