Beläget i historiska Castine Village med spektakulär utsikt över hamnen till Cape Rosier och av de stora skonarna som kommer in under fullt segel.

Denna charmiga, fullt utrustade stuga ligger bara 60 meter från vattnet och har enkla steg som leder ner till stranden.

Castine är en unik blandning av en liten stad i New England med en gemensam och sjöfartsby, exceptionellt pittoresk. Många av dess hem går från den amerikanska revolutionen och gatorna är fortfarande fodrade med majestätiska, hundra år gamla Elm-träd.

Inte många städer kan skryta med mer i form av rekreation, kulturaktiviteter och samhällstjänster, men ändå förblir så orörda av kommersiell turism. Det finns inga trafikljus och inga snabbmatskedjor men bekvämligheter inkluderar segling, kajakpaddling, golf, tennis, Maine Maritime Academy pool och fitnessanläggningar, kyrkor, ett bibliotek, restauranger, museer, en liten mataffär, ett läkarkontor och musikalskonsert på detta bara en kort promenad från Moonrise Anchorage.

En drottningssäng, en dubbelsäng, två tvillingar och en bäddsoffa i queen-size. Stort däck vänd mot hamnen med en kolgrill och gott om uteservering och ett paraply för att ge skugga. Privat strand bara några steg från ytterdörren.

You can’t beat the water views of this property. Check-in and Check-out were simple. The host is responsive along with the person who helps them. This cottage was a perfect getaway for my husband and me. We plan to book again for next year.

Quaint Maine cottage with stellar views on wonderful full length deck. Short walk to town. Great kitchen with all the necessary items. Very nice Host. Wonderful Vermont Casting Propane Wood Stove - a great finishing touch!

We had a lovely week in Castine at this cottage. It is very well-appointed and the light and breezes during the day were beautiful inside and out. There is a gorgeous view of the Castine Yacht Club harbor and Castine is nicely located for a variety of day trips. The town itself feels smaller than expected but its quaint and charming, and there are nice nature walks nearby. The Pentagoet Inn is definitely worth a visit. Pictures and description of the cottage have been updated since I made the reservation but there were two things I wish I’d known: 1) the one bathroom is on a different level than most of the beds, and 2) the king sized bed is a trundle bed. If you can manage either of those situations and will be in Castine, you should give this place a look.

It has a beautiful view of the bay with an easy walk to town and Maine Maritime. There is a great little deck overlooking the bay with a BBQ, a perfect place to grill.

We look forward to returning to this cottage each year! We find it especially clean and comfortable. The cottage is stocked with everything you'll need for your stay. The view is incredible and it's so easy to sit on the deck and watch the boats for hours. The breeze is perfect for sleeping with open windows. The town is beautiful and daily walks are filled with the friendliest people and stunning views.Communication with the host is quick and easy.

Beautiful Historic Town a

Weve stayed here several times and find the location to be perfect with a serene view, comfortable furnishings and a very walkable town. The cottage is always clean and communication with thw owner very easy.

We really loved our stay in Castine. The cottage was clean, comfortable and a great location. Our hostess, Janet, was super responsive. It was great for a dog, too, as the front porch/deck was fully enclosed and had full view onto the bay. I highly recommend this property!

This was our 2nd stay at this quaint cottage with an amazing view of the bay! Walking distance to everything, the harbor, restaurants, book store, small grocery and much more. Nearby hiking at Witherle Woods. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Pentagoet Inn. Thank you for sharing your well kept, pet friendly cottage, would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place in an awesome town

Clean, functional property with a lovely deck where you can see the water and wave to the locals. 5-10 min walk to the Bakehouse and restaurants.

a delightful cottage

Our stay in Castine was a week in July. The cottage has terrific water views of the harbor. The acomadation was clean and comfortable with many thoughtful extras.

My favorite place

We come yearly and love the cottage and town. Beautiful views in an historic town. Janet is an excellent host. Very easy to communicate with and very helpful. We're actually staying here twice this year!

Charming cottage next to the water

My family enjoyed our stay here. The balcony was quite lovely overlooking the water. There are stairs across the street down to the water. It is an easy five minute walk to Main Street in Castine.

We stayed here for a second year attending the summer school of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans. We plan to make it our regular place to stay.

Perfect Maine stay

We had a seamless experience with Janet and the cottage. It’s a perfect size for a small family, made all the better that we could bring our four-legged member as well. The location is within walking distance to the small center of Castine, and quick drive to the highlights of the surrounding area. We look forward to a return visit in years to come!

Delightful cottage with a view of Union River Bay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Gray Cottage. The cottage itself is well furnished, clean and comfortable. It has a wonderful view of Union River Bay. When we stayed in and took a day off from exploring the surrounding area, we simply relaxed and delighted in the view. Dee, the property manager, is easy to work with and made sure we were satisfied with the accommodations.

A wonderful week in Vacationland

This was our second stay at Janet’s property as well as our second stay in Castine. The home is clean, welcoming, and the perfect location to soak in the beauty of the surrounding area. The views off the deck are stunning, it’s within walking distance to downtown Castine and other points of interest in the area, and is helpfully situated for a quick drive out of town to explore Downeast Maine. We hope to return again and again!

Castine Cottage

Overall very good stay. You just can’t beat the view and the access to the water right out the front door. Everything was very clean and organized. The front deck was great to use at night and during the day. My only critique would be that the bed could be a bit more comfortable but overall everything was as expected for a cottage on the shore. My family and I had a great time.
