La Rocque Àr ett vackert renoverat och vÀlutrustade 400 Är gamla stenhus omgivet av trÀdgÄrdar pÄ över tre fjÀrdedelar av ett tunnland och ligger i den vackra Normandie landsbygden 10km norr om Saint LÎ. Den rymliga rum arrangeras över tre vÄningar. PÄ bottenvÄningen, har i vardagsrummet en vacker strÄlade tak och stor öppen spis och det finns ocksÄ en bekvÀm lounge med TV och Wi-Fi. Köket Àr fullt utrustat och vÀlutrustade och det finns ocksÄ en tvÀttstuga och ett spelrum med full storlek bordtennisbord. PÄ första vÄningen finns 4 sovrum och ett badrum. PÄ andra vÄningen loftet har konverterats till en hÀrlig avkopplande extra vardagsrum med vackra balkar. 2 extra personer kan bo pÄ bÀddsoffa (gör 12 totalt). PÄ denna vÄning finns ocksÄ en annan sovrum med dubbelsÀng och ett badrum. Utanför trÀdgÄrdarna Àr perfekt för avkoppling, spela en omgÄng boule eller titta pÄ solnedgÄngen över ett glas vin.

Maison de campagne trĂšs agrĂ©able, restaurĂ©e avec gout, bien Ă©quipĂ©e et dĂ©corĂ©e pour qu’on s’y sente accueilli chaleureusement. TrĂšs propre, linge de maison de qualitĂ©. Jeux et jouets pour enfants nombreux et apprĂ©ciĂ©s. Piscine et table de ping pong bien utilisĂ©s pendant notre sĂ©jour. Espace extĂ©rieur trĂšs grand, environnement calme et reposant. Accueil trĂšs sympathique par la propriĂ©taire, Pamela. Bonne boulangerie et tous commerces Ă  5 minutes en voiture (ou vĂ©lo).

Parfait pour un week-end entre amis

Nous avons passé un trÚs bon week-end dans cette jolie maison. La maison de Pamela a le charme d'une ancienne maison normande, mais tout l'équipement nécessaire pour passer un trÚs bon séjour. Nous étions 6 adultes et 6 enfants, et avions toute la place et le confort nécessaire. Pamela est vraiment trÚs gentille et trÚs accueillante, elle nous attendait malgré notre arrivée tardive et a répondu à toutes nos demandes. Merci encore !

Un trÚs agréable séjour

Nous avons passĂ© un magnifique sĂ©jour dans la maison d'hĂŽtes de Pamela. Nous nous sommes rĂ©unis en famille pour les fĂȘtes de fin d'annĂ©e et petits et grands ont trouvĂ© leur compte. VĂ©ritable maison familliale, la maison est trĂšs fonctionnelle, les enfants ont pu profiter malgrĂ© la pluie de la grange avec des parties endiablĂ©es de ping pong pendant que les adultes discutaient autour d'un feu de cheminĂ©e. Chacun a trouvĂ© sa place autour de la table (et nous Ă©tions 12). La maison est agrĂ©able et chaleureuse. Merci encore Ă  notre hĂŽte pour cet accueil.

Finally got to France!

The property is delightful, full of history, it provided everything for our much anticipated family holiday after previous postponed holidays! The house is well equipped. Our grandson particularly enjoyed the pool and the table tennis table. We really do need to practice more! The Boulanger is in the village was excellent. The Casino provided odds and ends. We all enjoyed visiting the war graves at Bayeux and the beach my dad landed on back in June 1944. Pam, our host was very helpful and welcoming. We appreciated the wine and cider chilling in the fridge on our arrival. Thank you

Very comfortable and fun stay for young and old

A wonderful stay at a beautiful old and authentic Normandy house surrounded by a huge garden where kids can play and the older can enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A nice, refreshing pool when the weather is warm. All made possible with true English hospitality, Pam helps you out with every question you have. The beach and lots of interesting or historical sights are just a short drive from the house, as well as towns and villages of interest to visit. The house is very complete and feels like being at home and more....definitely worth coming back to as it has all ingredients for a nice and relaxing holiday!

Great place for families

We had a lovely week in Pamela's house. The host is absolutely adorable and the house has everything needed. The garden is big and next to a cow field - which delighted my 1YO baby! Absolutely recommended!

A Great Respite From Urban Overload

Pamela couldn't have been more helpful or available, both before we arrived and afterward. The grounds are expansive, as is the interior of the house. Plenty of room inside 3 stories to relax and have time alone, if desired. Enjoyed the rustic charm of a farm home with all the dishes, silverware, dishwasher, washer and dryer, bicycles, towels and linens, etc. to accommodate us as grandparents and our son's family with two little boys. Didn't expect that the above ground pool would be used and enjoyed as much as it was by the 4 yr. old and 1 1/2 yr old. The closest village, Saint Clair-sur-l'Elle (a 3 minute drive and 10 minute bike trip with a small but adequate supermarket), has a patisserie that outshines all the others in the area and would have been worth the trip just for its bread alone. The lack of air-conditioning or fans was a concern for our August visit, but the stone walls moderated the temperature and nights cooled off sufficiently that it wasn't an issue. All in all, a wonderful time tasting the Normandy experience. Speaking of tasty, for an upscale wonderful meal in a lovely setting, go to La Ferme du Chateau in Agneaux.

Home away from home!

I just can’t say enough nice things about this property and Pamela. I brought my wife and two young boys to Normandy to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings and Pamela welcomed us as if we were old friends or family. The home was warm and inviting and can accommodate a very large group even though we were only four. We actually only used the upstairs bedrooms and downstairs kitchen. While the home has a long colorful history it is completely up to date with all the amenities you could ask for and more. A short drive to the Normandy beaches and all of the major towns and sites. The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful and everything you could hope for from a visit to Normandy. Pam provided us with everything we needed including recommendations for restaurants inconveniences. We were even able to sit and talk with her in the front yard and share a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this property and would gladly return on a future visit. Thank you Pam!

We very much enjoyed our holiday in Pam's beautiful house

The house is set in peaceful rural Normandy close to the village of St Claire which has good everyday food shopping - and 3 hairdressers. We enjoyed cycling through quiet lanes, trips to the beaches and visiting D-day museums. The house is spacious and very well equipped; our grandchildren enjoyed the large garden, games and pool. It is an ideal setting for a large family gathering. Pam was great - always welcoming and helpful and full of information.

Une maison charmante.

Il faisait trÚs mauvais dehors. Mais je peux dire qu'on a passé une belle vacance. La région a plein d' opportunités pour faire des visites intérieures. En ce qui se concerne la maison, c'est trÚs charmante, bien décorée et spacieuse et a plein d'opportunités pour se retirer et de lire une livre ou de passer des moments agréables tous ensemble au coin du feu. Je trouvais tous les chambres impeccable et trÚs propre. A revenir.

Wonderful French Farmhouse

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Rocque. The area is rich with history and the house itself is amazing. We felt like we were living history while staying there. The kids enjoyed riding the bikes around the property and there was an old barn that was fun to explore. The property is close to many of the World War II sites of the Normandy invasion. Bayeux and St. Lo are close. The whole area is quiet country, and absolutely amazing. We were so thrilled to be able to stay here. Pamela is a wonderful host who made sure that our needs were met. She was not on site upon our arrival, but made sure that everything was taken care of. Would love to do this again.
