En nyligen renoverad alpin lÀgenhet i en traditionell Savoyard bondgÄrd. LÀgenheten ligger i en lugn och pittoresk by mycket nÀra centrum av byn Morillon (10 minuters promenad). Morillon Àr en del av skidomrÄdet Grand Massif. LÀgenheten ligger 500 meter (5-10 minuters promenad) frÄn linbanan Morillon, som arbetar pÄ sommar och vinter för skidÄkning, vandring och mountainbike. Det finns en skidbusshÄllplats utanför dörren. LÀgenheten har en bra storlek vardagsrum / matsal, 2 sovrum och sover 4-6 personer. Det finns gratis trÄdlöst internet. Byn Morillon har ett bra utbud av affÀrer, kaféer / barer och restauranger. Den nÀrliggande sjön, stranden och rekreationsomrÄdet (10 minuters promenad) Àr perfekta för familjer med barn pÄ sommaren. Excellent host contact and helpfulness.The appartement is as described slightly dated but perfectly comfortable and clean and warm.Close to Morillon Gondola 10 min walk, so it is close enough to all that Morillon has to offer.If walking on very slight slope up a road to the property.Good value given the proximity to main village

Nous avons passé un trÚs bon séjour dans cet appartement spacieux, trÚs bien équipé, calme et bien placé par rapport au centre de Morillon, à celui de Samoëns, et aux remontées mécaniques. Le stationnement possible juste à cÎté de la porte d'entrée est trÚs pratique !

Summer stay

The property is conveniently located - within 5 minutes walk to the lake and 10 minutes to Morillon 'High Street'. It is spacious and, thanks to the shutters, it was pleasant and cool in the hot summer temperatures. The owners were very helpful, with great communication. Lovely neighbours too - the French lady was very sweet.

last minute ski trip

Mondayevening the 3rd we booked the appartment. Payments was arranged over a VRBO link by the owner. Tuesday the 4th we arrived late in the evening and everything was settled and prepared as communicated by the owners. Next day they came allong to check whether we arrived well and found evrything ok. Nice service. The appartment is a described, everything is working fine and though the building is old, the inner part of the appartment is really perfect. Bedding and towels were prepared, giving a realy nice Hotel-like welcome idea. Thanks again

Morillon farm apartment

A last minute change in plans led us to staying in this apartment. It is old fashioned with shutters on the windows, wood everywhere and warms up nicely. The amenities are characterful and adequate. It reflects that the main reason for being here would normally be the chance to use the sporting aspects of the area, such as VTT in the summer, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. There is no apparent outside garden/recrational spaces.

I live in Morillon with my partner, Jamie, and our two children, Juliet and Cameron. Jamie and I have been living in this part of the French Alps for 10 years. We live and work here all year round. In the summer we run a mountain biking holiday business, Ride the Alps. In the winter Jamie is a snowshoe guide and igloo builder.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Morillon is a village in the Haute Giffre valley, also part of the Grand Massif. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the French Alps. It has managed to maintain a traditional alpine village feel whilst also being a very successful summer and winter mountain resort. We love mountain sports - mountain biking, skiing, trail running, climbing etc. - and this is the ideal place to do all of these things. It's also a wonderful place for family life. There are heaps of activities on offer for kids all year round.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The apartment is just 500m from the Morillon cable car (a 5-10 minute walk) so you can get up the mountain very easily in summer or winter with skis, mountain bikes or on foot. There is also a ski bus stop just outside the door which links you to the other villages in the valley. The village centre is also a 5 minute walk away with it's range of shops, café/bars and restaurants. The beautiful alpine village of Samoens is just 3km away. Samoens has an outdoor pool complex and plays host to the biggest market in the Haute Savoie on Wednesday mornings. You can get straight onto the hiking and biking trails from the door of the apartment and if you don't mind a bit of off-piste, you can ski back to the door.
