Carr Hill House är ett lyxigt fritidshus som har varit i familjen i femton år, ursprungligen som en 5-stjärnigt Bed and Breakfast. Fastigheten kan sova 10 vuxna och 2 barn, med en extra bäddsoffa och en bäddsoffa som ger totalt 15 personer. Huset ligger i en stor gräsmatta med utsikt över North York Moors med ett ångtåg som löper genom dalen nedanför. En 5 minuters bilresa till kusten och in i norra York Moors nationalpark. Vårt läge innebär att gång- och cykelleder ligger på dörrsteget. Aktiviteter som golf, segling, ridning och åktur på ångtåget till nationalparken ligger några minuter bort.

Excellent property outside Whitby

The house was lovely, clean and well stocked with all essentials for a home from home experience. Great location and the host was accommodating and answered any questions or queries. Would definitely recommend as a place for families and friends who want to relax and enjoy what North Yorkshire has to offer.

Lovely property

Booked for a family get together, house is located 3 miles outside Whitby. Brilliant walking area plus short drive to Goathland for more walks. House is very comfortable with all needs catered for, comfortable beds and plenty of garden space. Libby was very helpful host and contactable.

Holiday property

The property and location was excellent. VRBO description of the bedrooms on line lacked detail which is important when planning a family holiday. When i contacted the owner she gave me complete detail of the bedrooms. Very well equipped. Lovely outside space.

Fabulous house with great host near Whitby

We went to this house to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding. This house was absolutely stunning. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. The garden was beautiful and felt very private. The house was huge! Plenty of space for us to play games and relax. The views were phenomenal. I had no issues at all with this property. The host was very attentive and helpful,she phoned prior to check in date to give us information about the house. I can't recommend this place enough. We will probably be returning at some point, excellent value for money.

Perfect Stay

We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate a 60th birthday. Family flew in from France, Shanghai & Seattle, so our accommodation had to be spot on. We couldn’t have been happier with the house, it’s facilities & multiple bedrooms & bathrooms - we were a full house & there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was very well equipped & had everything we needed. The weather was perfect so we spent time on the patio overlooking the lovely, well tended garden. Communication with the owner was great, we would highly recommended no.73.

Amazing home!

Wow!! For those looking at reviews, do not hesitate to rent this place, it’s fabulous! Libby, your home is amazing, it could not have been more perfect. From the lovely things you left for us upon arrival, to the amount of room for the 13 us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The only thing that could have been better was if we stayed for a longer time. We will absolutely be returning at some point. We’d be back next year if we could line up our vacation time. Sadly it will have to wait a bit. Thank you for being an amazing communicative host, even with the differing time zones. We all fell in love with the place. The kids were in love with the garden and the giant Jenga. Family Celebration

It’s been said before, but the photos don’t do this lovely property justice. Generous bedrooms, good sized and well equipped kitchen and plenty of room to gather our group of ten to celebrate our golden wedding. We would all highly recommend this property for family gatherings.

Long awaited holiday

A fabulous base for a holiday. The house was wonderful, bigger than it appeared in some photos. Three generations had room to to be together and space for for quiet time! Two ovens in the kitchen was a bonus, although we couldn't read the temperatures on one of them, but not a big problem. Libby was wonderful to deal with and the extra thick mattress in the cot was much appreciated. Would recommend the house and area very highly.

Great house for a large family group. The layout makes it suitable for other groups too. The photos don’t do it justice and it’s much bigger than it appears in them. The lawned area is quite flat but appears to be sloping away in the photo. It is not enclosed though - a gate through to the driveway would have been helpful. We liked the location away from the bustle of Whitby but with plenty to do nearby. Owner lives next door and was helpful without being intrusive. Would definitely like to return.

Large family house near Whitby

Very comfortable and warm house with perfect accommodation for our extended family of six adults and five children. Garden is not safe for the children (all under seven) as not enclosed but we spent every day out and found lots to do.

Whitby weekend in September

A great property that is even nicer than the pictures suggest. We were a group of friends and family gathering for a weekend away, and the house more than fulfilled our needs - lots of comfy rooms and plenty of space outside for a BBQ. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend to others looking for an affordable option for a large group in the Whitby area.

Fab for extended family get together

We had a brilliant week at Libby's house. The space was great for our 4 generations of family (ages 2 - 83) and the house is super well equipped with everything you could need. Having 2 lounges was a real bonus too - and encouraged games and chat and reading rather than TV for a change! The location is fab for the coast and moors so we were never short of things to do...Plus the house is so comfy and has great views so even for those who stayed home on the odd day - it was still a treat! Libby was super helpful and responsive. Would love to come back one day.

I am a married international educator with two small children, who was born in Whitby and now enjoy the peaceful charm of the area with my family.

CarrHillHouse was previously run as a 5 star bed and breakfast by my parents who have recently retired. Owning this luxury house has allowed us to reconnect with the beautiful town of Whitby and the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We took over ownership of the property to afford us a family retreat in beautiful surroundings. While here we enjoy cycling, riding the steam train, hiking, fossil hunting and generally exploring the coast line as a family.
We hope similar family’s or groups of friends can also enjoy the house and area.
