Den största staden Gerardmer är 15 minuter bort, det erbjuder allt: affärer, restauranger, skidåkning, sjö etc. Boendet är mysigt och bekvämt: radiatorer och en eldstad håller det varmt på vintern. Den har 3 sovrum: 1 dubbelrum på bottenvåningen och 1 dubbelrum och 1 tvåbäddsrum på första våningen; ett fullt utrustat kök; 1 badrum och en stor sluten veranda.

fully equiped and lovely decorated chalet in quiet area

The chalet is very comfortable and decorated with authentic details. Great base for scenic routes by car and numerous hikes in the woods.

Lovely chalet in beautiful rural location.

We had a fantastic week in this very comfortable chalet. It is situated in a quiet and beautiful village. It's a perfect place for walking, swimming in nearby lakes and local sight seeing. We would highly recommend it and hope to return one day. Tanner family, London

Very nice and cozy house

We had a very good time in the house. Its very cozy, the area outside perfect for morning-coffees in the sun and for the child to play. The contact with Lydie was very friendly and helpful when there were questions. We would definitly recommend this place.

A beautiful cosy house in a remote area which is a good starting point for beautiful walks and exploration of the numerous points of interest in nature and culture.The house offers plenty of room for four and more people and has good facilities for a comfortable holiday. The style of the house its well to the atmosphere of the area - the house offers some nice vintage vibes - you can feel the history of the place. Lydie is very responsive, helpful and friendly.We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend the house.

Noël cosy au coin du feu

Nous avons passés de très bonnes vacances dans ce petit chalet cosy des années 70 où rien ne manquait de nos années d’enfance! Même les ustensiles sont raccord! Peut être même certains pourraient être changés vu leurs vétustés…L’ambiance etait chaleureuse et c’était le principal pour nous. Il a neigé et c’était très beau, le chalet est bas dans la vallée et la vue n’est pas extraordinaire mais c’était quand même bien sympathique. Avec l’option literie et l’électricité le prix devient très cher . Attention à bien calculer au départ. Pour résumé, un endroit sympathique dans un lieu sympathique et chaleureux.

Gemütliches Haus in schöner ruhiger Lage

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gibt viele nette Plätze um das Haus. Ein kleiner Bach fließt durch das Grundstück. Das ist sehr erfrischend. Allerdings mussten wir einige Dinge in der Küche vor der Benutzung reinigen.

Chalet accueillant dans les Vosges

Notre séjour dans ce chalet était très bien, le cadre est idéal pour une escapade en dehors des villes et plusieurs stations de ski sont à proximité. Les chambres sont confortables; l'ambiance générale de la maison est très chaleureuse et familiale. Le contact avec les propriétaires très humain et facile. À refaire si jamais nous revenons un jour dans les Vosges!

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten. Die Ausstattung könnte mal erneuert werden. Stühle wackeln, nur wenige Gläser und Tassen usw sodass man teilweise mit der Hand anwaschen müsste. Haus war bei Ankunft nicht richtig gereinigt worden. Ansonsten war es sehr schön. Die Lage ist toll. Schön grün und ruhig, "Auslauf" für die Kinder direkt am Haus.

Très bon emplacement, le chalet est très cosy. Nous avons bien profité de la cheminée et de l'espace dans le chalet. Le chalet est régulièrement habité par la propriétaire ce qui le rend très agréable.

Positives - Location of property is great. Nice and quiet. 15 minutes to ski slopes and a hill right next to the property that my daughter had fun with the luge on. - Cosy chalet. Nice living room and well equipped kitchen - Wood for the fire was free and much appreciated. Chalet was nice and warm - Comfortable beds Negatives - Cleanliness of the Chalet. Everyone's idea of clean is different but for me the basics hadn't been done when you are renting out a property. There were still pieces of food in the sink, microwave and oven. There were crumbs and bits of food down the sides of the cushions of the sofa. There were loads of cobwebs between the beams of the ceiling. The house had been given a superficial clean but not in the hard to reach places. The chalet needs a thorough clean from top to bottom in my opinion. - The septic tank was full and there was an awful smell of sewage every time we flushed the toilet. Particularly noticable in the downstairs bedroom. The owners had been staying in the chalet the week before us and I find it hard to believe that they hadn't noticed the smell. We noticed it immediately upon arrival. The owners sent somebody out to look at it but there was nothing he could do in the snow. We just had to put up with the smell. I think a gesture from the owners for this inconvenience would have been nice. (Maybe not having to pay the electricity bill for example) but no such gesture was forthcoming.

Excellent séjour!

Superbe location, au coeur de la montagne. Chalet très soigné, et excellent accueil. Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine en famille et avons bien profité de la montagne et de Noël dans les Vosges... A recommander, été comme hiver!

A great holiday

Lovely chalet, comfortable, clean and contemporary while maintaining an authentic feel. Everything at hand that you should need. Excellent! We had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. Loved the wood-burner! A great holiday

I am French and Iain Scottish. We live in the UK. Le Grand Valtin is a very special place for me as I spent all my childhood holidays there at my grandfathers farm ; it was idyllic...We have been coming every year as a family and our children love it as well.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The area has a lot to offer : stunning scenery, lovely food, plenty to do : skiing,walking, water sports, cycling amongst others.
The property is in a super location, not far from the main road-easier in winter-.
It is a quiet little village but only 10 mins away from shops ( there is a wonderful baker 5 mins away).
The skiing domaine is 20 mins away as is the lake. Walking and cycling tracks on the doorsteps.

The property is comfortable and can easily accommodate 6 persons.
We have lovingly improved it, adding a new kitchen, a new bathroom whilst keeping its French charm ; it is a family home.
