Sunnyside är en charmig mysig stuga som har smakfullt inredda och möblerade hela. Beläget på sina egna grunder och trädgårdar som ger en känsla av utrymme och avskildhet, men ändå bara ett stenkast från Southwolds livliga High Street. Från sin bilresa kan du nå direkt till Suffolk Coastal Footpath som tar dig över myrarna med en fantastisk utsikt över färgglada strandstugor, till stranden och Southwold Pier. Den soliga rymliga trädgården ger gott om utrymme för att äta, koppla av och leka och det finns gott om plats för parkering på den privata gated uppfarten. På vintern kan du jaga ner framför öppen spis med en härlig utsikt över trädgården och spela ett brett urval av brädspel eller DVD-skivor. Köket / matställe med dubbla aspekter ger ett super underhållande område och alla åldrar i familjen tillgodoses med sovrummet på nedervåningen är bra för morföräldrar. Sunnyside är idealisk för familjegrupper eller vänner som möter eller par som vill ha en avskild och bekväm bas för att koppla av eller turnera runt Suffolk's Heritage Coast. Sunnyside erbjuder en härlig reträtt när som helst på året för en semester vid stranden.

We just had a lovely weeks stay. The house has everything you need. The location is perfect. Just a short walk into Southwold and the beach. Communication with Elizabeth is excellent. Would recommend!

A fantastic, relaxing stay in this lovely, cosy, very well equipped cottage in the most perfect location. We also took our Jack Russell, and enjoyed so many long walks and days on the ‘dog beach’ with him. He was as relaxed as we were at the end of our week!

Another lovely stay at Sunnyside

After our stay last year we returned and found the cottage just as lovely this time. We were very lucky with the weather so were able to relax on the terrace and be in the garden lots. The location is perfect for walking to the seaside and for exploring lovely Southwold. The house is spacious and comfortable and the host very easy to communicate with.

Long weekend away at Sunnyside

We had a lovely chilled out long weekend away at Sunnyside. The cottage was exactly as described, exceptionally clean and very comfortably furnished. All aspects of the booking and stay itself exceeded our expectations. The location is lovely and quiet and only a short 15 mins walk from Southwold.

we were able to check in earlier which enabled us to have more time to enjoy Southwold. The house was very comfortable with a large enclosed garden for our dog. We will certainly be back!!

Wonderful

Thank you Elizabeth and Torben for a fantastic weekend at Sunnyside. The house is beautifully furnished, and has everything you could need including games, Netflix, wi-fi, radio, cooking utensils, utility area, boot rack, dishwasher tablets and lots more. It is warm, quiet and cozy, with loads of parking space. We had a lovely open fire in the evenings (kindling provided and wood from the local store) and slept wonderfully in the comfy beds. The big fluffy bath towels were a bonus, as were the hand-soap, washing up liquid and loo rolls! We had a bottle of prosecco, some Southwold fudge and crisps, with a lovely welcome note on arrival. Perfect location literally on a footpath across the marshes to the beach. We had a wonderfully chilled weekend. Thank you so much for the early check-in and late check out, so very much appreciated. Cosy home from home

The house is really lovely, clean and well equipped. There is everything you could possibly need there. The beds are very comfortable. The owner communicates really well. We really liked it and would return in a flash.

Fantastic place to stay !! Everything and more

This was our second stay at sunnyside . We had a wonderful 5 nights here. Four adults and one very happy dog . The cottage is beautiful and lovely and clean . Your not to far away from a beautiful walk including down to the beach and Southwold . Communication with the hosts was fantastic . We were all sad to leave and will be booking again for next year . Great stay

The property was clean and welcoming and close to a footpath to the beach which even the 4 year old could enjoy. The children also loved the garden. The local shop was most useful. We had a lovely week, helped by the most amazing weather.

Lovely cottage and lovely location - would recommend!

Cottage was a high standard, very clean and comfortable, helpful info about local amenities and places to visit, and well equipped for both self-catering and entertaining with lots of games plus kids activities available in the shed. Large garden was great for our sporty son to use up some energy. Owner was friendly and helpful with good communication. Location was great - just a short walk from Southwold seafront and the town of Southwold. It's a lovely part of the country with other lovely villages and beaches nearby. Plus Norwich for shopping (useful distraction for grumpy teenage daughter ;)) Would certainly recommend the cottage and the area.

Well equipped house / walkable to the beach

Nice amount of room for 4 adults and 1 child. Well equipped kitchen, board games, books, beach stuff. We enjoyed the garden (you can hear the traffic from a main road but it is also slightly set back) we enjoyed the short peaceful walk to the beach .. yes it’s a little over grown with nettles in places but that didn’t deter us. Great communication with owners and would def stay again / highly recommend!!!!

Lovely long weekend at Sunnyside

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Sunnyside. The cottage is so homely and spacious. We found the location perfect for accessing Southwold and surroundings. The kids and dog loved the big garden and we enjoyed sitting on the sunny terrace.

Sweet cottage

Great place to visit suffolk very easy to get to places from and lovely walk to Southwold. Only four stars for cleaning as could have been a little cleaner in bathroom on arrival and my elderly parents found the two single beds uncomfortable. However the rest of the cottage was lovely. If you have little dogs be aware the chicken wire attached to gate has a gap in and my Cockapoo managed to get under it and followed me out the gate. There is a main road to the side of cottage so could be a problem. Thank you for a lovely weekend stay much appreciated

Nice Cottage but looking tired inside and out.

The cottage is well situated for the town, and walks to the sea. On arrival the garden is secure for the dogs to be let loose to play in a fair size garden. The grass needed cutting and the whole outside of the property needs tidying up. The cottage inside has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Again we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage. We had to wash some mugs and wipe down. The kitchen floor needed hoovering, to do this I had to de-bung the hoover as it was full of hairs and fluff. How anybody had used it before beggars believe. The inside of the oven was very dirty, as was the window blinds. The cottage needs a good deep clean, and refresh. We are not fussy people, just expected a clean cottage.

I was very lucky to have spent many idyllic and unforgettable family childhood holidays in Southwold. We took our own children camping here and we knew instantly it was a place we wanted to bring them back to time and time again as well as bringing our own parents here to stay.

With Sunnyside we wanted to create a cosy base from which family, friends and visitors could enjoy and explore the beautiful beaches and town and take happy memories of the area away with them. We like beach walks, cycling, cosy pub lunches and picnics by the sea, building sand castles and crabbing and then curling up in front of our open fire or having a BBQ in the evening sun whilst our kids play in the garden. We hope that you'll enjoy Southwold and Sunnyside as much as we do :-)

Varför värden valde detta boende

We love being close to Southwold's shops, pubs and beaches whilst also benefiting from a quieter location and a feeling of space away from the crowds. As a former Adnam's gardener's cottage, we really appreciate the historical connection of Sunnyside with Southwold's famous local beer.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Guests regularly comment about our great location, large sunny garden, outdoor eating space and our private parking. Our drive leads directly out onto a Suffolk Coastal Footpath. A 10-15 minute walk along side the marshes is all it takes to the beach, the famous colourful Southwold beach huts and the Pier. We're close to Southwold but away from the crowds and with our large gated driveway, there's ample parking. It's 2 minutes to the friendly village shop, selling locally sourced vegetables and meat and freshly baked artisan bread. Our large south facing garden is fabulous for dogs and allows children (and adults!) ample space to wind down and play after a hard day at the beach, whilst dinner is cooked on the BBQ in the relaxing evening sun.
