Pour notre déplacement de 5 jours en Périgord ,cette maisonnette RDC et étage est parfaite .Très bien aménagée ,cuisine ,SDB ,chambre .Accessoires et détails de vie parfaits.Accueil très chaleureux.et attentionné de Mme et Mr TURNER ...La prochaine fois je pourrai même solliciter une initiation aux travaux de métallerie -passion de Mr.TURNER !

21st July - 4th August

We loved our stay at Andy and Trina’s gite. The cottage is well equipped and in a lovely private orchard. The house is bijou but we felt it was bigger than we had expected from the photos so actually we found we had plenty of space. The space is carefully planned and adequately equipped for our stay with everything we needed. Andy and Trina are kind and helpful people and they well deserve their Premier Host status. They brought us up to date tourist information and lent us a map to get to a place our maps didn’t quite cover. They graciously put up with our car alarm randomly going off, which as it turned out, was caused by insects flying in and setting it off after dark. Other guests may want to deactivate their acoustic alarm as we eventually did! It is a very peaceful and restful area and the roads were relatively quiet and empty so getting about was a joy. There are three good swimming lakes (with sandy beaches and lifeguards) within 20 mins or so and several chateaux, pretty villages and towns to explore. It may have been the time of year but every few days there seemed to be some sort of event taking place in the various nearby villages and towns. We have very fond memories of our stay.

Charmante petite maison, très propre et bien équipée, avec un très joli jardin.

Très agréable séjour, le lieu est paisible et entouré de verdure. Nous avons fait de belles promenades dans les petits chemins et les bois aux alentours. Nos hôtes, Treena et Andy, sonr très gentils. Nous avons déjà envie d'y revenir.

Très bon séjour

Propriétaires très sympathiques et accueillants. Maison très agréable et fonctionnelle équipée dans les produits de base et d'agréments . Apparition de frelons mais les propriétaires sont tout de suite intervenus. Repos, sérénité, balades aux alentours (à partir du village même). Très bon séjour.

Peace and tranquillity

We arrived to a warm welcome from Andy & Treena. They have achieved the perfect balance of being available to help at any time, but giving us space to enjoy the tranquility of their lovely cottage. Their recent renovation of the cottage makes it really comfortable and having the large private orchard garden all to ourselves was perfect for enjoying hot sunny days with plenty of shade. When we wanted do some exploring, local villages, towns, chateaux, markets, and well managed swimming lakes in the woods (with life guards and sandy beaches!) were perfect for days out. En bref: We loved it!

Great house , location, superb hosts . Would book again . 10 out of 10.

The house is set in a small quiet hamlet. The couple who own the house are very friendly and very helpful with lots of information on the area. The stone built house has all you need clean towels all cooking equipment you might need and is cool inside when it hits 40 plus degrees outside. The garden has fruit trees which give you shade to sit out on the hotest day and enjoy a drink and bbq. The house is very well maintained and garden is also ..supermarket, tabac , and fuel station under 5 minutes drive from the house . On arrival there was a bottle of red wine , white wine,a couple of beers and milk in the fridge.to start you off. .10 minutes drive to lac St mathieu . Highly recommend this as your next holiday home for a relaxing break.

Cottage au calme

Petite maison très mignonne entourée d’un grand jardin. Très bel endroit pour se reposer et profiter de la nature. Les hôtes sont très disponibles et sympa. Tout était très propre et les lits confortables. Bref une très bonne adresse pour des vacances au calme.

A lovely clean and quiet little house.

I felt completely at home in this nicely renovated little house. Everything is clean, parking is just next to the house and the location is wonderfully quiet, with only the occasional passing car. The owners were very friendly and helpful. If you want to visit this part of France, then I recommend you stay here.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le gîte de Treena qui est parfait pour passer des vacances au calme dans un environnement très verdoyant. La région est très propice à la randonnée à pied ou à vélo.et aux visites du patrimoine locale riche en châteaux et très beaux villages.

Idéal pour une coupure "au vert" et se ressourcer

Gîte très sympa, on a bien profité de l'espace extérieur très bien entretenu et très agréable. Idéal pour bouquiner, manger dehors, réaliser un/des barbecue(s), jeux à l'extérieur pour enfants (et adultes !). Notre petit garçon (18 mois) s'en est donné à coeur joie pour courir dans le jardin, ramasser les pommes des pommiers, ou perturber les parties de Molky des adultes ;-) Treena et son mari sont adorables, à la fois discrets et attentionnés pour leurs locataires. Merci à eux. Plein de petites balades sympas à proximité de Maisonnais sur Tardoire.

Des améliorations pas très difficiles à apporter.

Absence des propriétaires à notre arrivée, alors qu'ils habitent la maison juste à côté et qu'ils étaient chez eux. Là salle de bains plus WC est trop petite (1.40x1.60)et il n'y a pas de toilettes au rdc. Dans l'annonce, il est stipulé qu'il y a une télé, or elle ne fonctionne pas: quel dommage avec les Jeux Olympiques. Pas de WiFi également. Sinon ce sont des hôtes sympathiques.
