Detta är ett vackert familjshus 50 minuter norr om Bordeaux. Det sover 11 i 5 sovrum med 4 badrum, kök, vardagsrum (med sky-TV, oskärpa och piano) och innergård med upphöjd terrass perfekt för att äta utomhus och ta i den vidsträckta utsikten över vingårdar och solrosfält. I en stor sluten trädgård finns en trampolin och trädsväng. Det finns ett separat poolområde med en fantastisk 14m uppvärmd infinitypool med säkerhetsöverdrag och dykbräda, en badtunna och bekväma solstolar. Lokala aktiviteter inkluderar tennis, ridning, gokart, lokala marknader och segling i floden. Cirka 40 minuter bort finns det vackra stränder och en fantastisk zoo.

Perfect holiday

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The house is surrounded by stunning views and the infinity pool sublime. It’s comprehensively equipped and the rooms are great. Amazing sunrises and sunsets and several Al fresco dinning areas. Lucy our host was great and very helpful. Hats off to Thomas her brother in law who was a brilliant concierge . We agreed a week wasnt long enough! Thank you for a fantastic family holiday - we all said it was perfect.

Nous avons passé une semaine idyllique dans cette magnifique maison ! Tout est réuni pour déconnecter entre amis : piscine, barbecue, trampoline, la vue. Nous avons passé notre semaine au bord de l’eau à contempler les vignes.

Amazing Property. Photos Don’t Do It Justice.

We had a fortnight of cultural activities planned but ended up lounging by the pool or in the hot tub enjoying this amazing house. OK, we did venture out to a few local restaurants but that was about it! Multiple shaded dining areas / terraces with views across the vineyard, lots of space internally, everything was provided and Thomas, the concierge, could not have been more helpful or solicitous. We are a family of four who were joined for a week by friends - a family of six - and there was plenty of room. No one was tripping over each other. I cannot recommend this property and Thomas / Lucy highly enough. We will return!

Perfecte buitenruimte in prachtige omgeving

Onze vakantie met ons gezin en dat van mijn broer was fantastisch. De buitenruimte met het extra groot en verwarmd zwembad was perfect. Het mooie uitzicht en de jacuzzi maakten het plaatje af. We werden heel goed onthaald door Thomas. Hij stond steeds paraat voor ons als we vragen hadden. Het huis is groot en heel comfortabel ingericht. Onze kinderen (tieners) beschrijven deze vakantie als de beste ooit.

An excellent stay in an idyllic location

The house was ideal for our 3 generations ranging in age from 17 months to 70. It was fully equipped for a large family and items such as pool towels and fans in all bedrooms were much appreciated. The children enjoyed the spacious grounds with trampoline and swing, and the beautiful infinity pool was lovely for playing and swimming. The shaded terrace was ideal for eating all together, while enjoying the views over the vineyards. We loved the calm and tranquility of the area, but enjoyed visiting attractive local towns and villages. Thomas who lives next door, welcomed us looked after us well. It really was a wonderful holiday.

Ruhiges Haus in landschaftlich Superlage!

Haben hier ein sehr ruhiges Domizil für erholsame Ferien mit Freunden und Hunden gefunden, gut geeignet für Ausflüge in die Umgebung und auch nach Bordeaux, La Rochelle etc, sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Betreuung, Kommunikation auf englisch einwandfrei, merci!

60th Birthday Family Holiday

We had a fantastic time as an extended family (6 adults and 4 children). The house is amazing. The location and views superb and the pool is fantastic- really large and kept beautifully clean by Thomas (who lives next door). The trampoline, swing and hot tub were also very much appreciated. All in all, we had an amazing 2 weeks and would thoroughly recommend this property for a group holiday.

Our favourite stay

We holiday in France every year and this is our favourite house we've stayed in. We've been here three times. Both Lucy (manages booking) and Thomas ( manages property) are lovely and so helpful. The pool is brilliant 15 m long over 2 m deep at the deepest and always heated to a fantastic temperature. The kitchen is really well equipped and there are two BBQs one gas one coal. The rooms are all a good size and have ensuite or bathroom next door. The outside veranda / balcony is great and the view across the vines is so beautiful. Nearest supermarket and boulangarie is 8 mins drive. The supermarket is large and very well stocked. We'll definitely be back for our fourth stay soon.

Fabulous holiday at this beautiful house.

This spacious house was perfect for our party of 6 adults and five children ranging from 7 to 14. The house is beautiful with stone walls, beams, lovely bedrooms, plenty of bath/shower rooms, and an inner courtyard. The kitchen is so well equipped with everything you can think of and the lounge is comfy for playing games or watching one of the many videos indoors, when it is too hot outside. There are so many pretty places to sit and eat and the huge infinity pool, with its stunning views of sunflowers and vineyards, is amazing. The wonderful garden is full of colourful roses and shrubs. Adults and children all had a fantastic time and didn’t want to leave. Thank you Thomas for being so friendly and helpful with everything to make it a fabulous holiday.

Séjour au calme

Nous avons passé un bon séjour entre amis dans cette maison de pierres typique de la région. L'hôte, Thomas, qui habite juste à côté, dans la maison jouxtant la propriété, est très sympathique et attentionné. Les équipements extérieurs sont magnifiques (grande piscine à débordement, jacuzzi, trampoline pour les enfants). La vue est très belle. Nous avons profité du calme, loin de tout. La maison se situe à environ 40 minutes des villes de Royan, Saintes...et à une bonne heure de Bordeaux. Notre regret cependant, la maison en elle-même (qui a vieilli par rapport aux photos de l'annonce), certains équipements ou finitions étant désuètes. Le ménage à notre arrivée, avait été fait approximativement et les toiles d'araignée et leurs habitantes sont partout. Dommage, car l'extérieur en vaut vraiment la peine.

Formidable!

La propriété est encore mieux que décrite dans l’annonce, que du positif et bien plus encore! Tout est bien pensé dans la maison, cour intérieure avec une vue époustouflante, piscine à débordement géante où nous avons passé des heures notamment à admirer également la vue, des + pour les enfants avec le trampoline et la balançoire, et en bonus le jacuzzi où nous avons passé des soirées à admirer les étoiles! Rien à redire, nous ne pouvons que conseiller de louer cette maison familiale.

Beyond expectations

The house is even better than the pictures. The infinity pool and jacuzzi are absolutely fantastic as well as the bbq place with dining table in the evening sun. The host is very helpful and friendly. A true recommendation!

Magnifique

Séjour magnifique. La maison est sympa, Thomas, qui nous a accueilli est tout aussi chaleureux. Le calme de la campagne est tellement reposant, les rires des enfants dans la piscine et sur le trempoline ont du résonnés à des km à la ronde... Même mon chat été ravi de ce moment de liberté (il s'est même fait un copain 😁) La maison en elle même permet d'être ensemble sans se marcher dessus chaque chambre dispose de sa salle de bain et WC... Un point négatif ??? Je n'en vois aucun... Haaaaaaaaa si peut être les moustiques le soir quand il fait chaud... Mais ça c'est la nature. 😆 😆 😆

The listing does not do this property justice!

We have just returned from a fantastic week and this beautiful French property. Inside the property is charming and fully equipped with everything that you are likely to need. Externally the property is a dream - lots of different areas to sit and have breakfast, lunch or dinner depending on position of the sun / time of day - all of which have fantastic views of the French countryside. Everyone loved the pool and standing on the infinity edge looking at the scenery. It is so much bigger than we expected and we couldn't keep our boys out of it. When we eventually got them to sleep, you couldn't keep the adults out of the hot-tub! The photo's and description do not do this property justice and we will without doubt return. The owner couldn't do enough to look after us - thank you Lucy.

BRILLIANT One of the nicest houses we have stayed

On our arrival we were shown round by Thomas (who was lovely, and ever helpful throughout our stay ). We all felt that the photo's didn't do the house justice, it was great. We all fell in love with the covered raised eating area and spent many happy hours, eating, drinking, and playing games there. The pool was a wonderful hit with all the family, and the seating area was very spacious and comfortable, many happy hours spent there as well. All in all one of the nicest houses we have stayed in. We hope to return in a couple of years time if Lucy will have us .

Beautiful house

We stayed at the house for a week with a group of friends and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful, the pool and hot tub are great to relax in and the views are stunning all around. Kitchen well equipped and perfect for big group dinners looking out over the countryside

Great Week!!!!

It was a great ‌week. Everything was perfect and clean. The house and the region are really nice. The house is easy to find and gives a nice view on the country specially from the swimming pool. The swimming pool is huge to play and to swim, after you can relax in the hot tub. Rooms and the living room are comfortable with TV, DVD and Play Station. The garden is nice with a swing and a trampoline. The kitchen and the house itself are convenient. The owner and Thomas on site are really friendly, helpful and provide a good customer service. For sure we will recommend this property to our friends even French as we are because owner and Thomas are speaking a nice French. We'll certainly be back.

We live in London with our four children (aged 9 to 21) and have been going to Chez Marechaux for around 25 years. My brother-in- law and his wife live next door and look after the house when we are not there.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Our house has everything you need to have a terrific holiday. We love the area, which is very peaceful with fabulous far reaching views. We put in a new pool, hot tub and landscaped the garden around 5 years ago and we are all very happy relaxing there. There are many wonderful places to visit, including local markets, historic towns, beaches, the famous zoo at Palmyre, tree climbing by the beach. Go-karting has become a favourite activity with our teenagers, and it is around 10 minutes drive away. There is a great little playground around a 2 minute drive away with a zip wire, slides etc and our 9 year old still really enjoys going there. The local supermarket (the Superu) is excellent and we do all our shopping there.

Very few properties will have a 14m pool for sole use, in addition to a hot tub which is always very popular. Many of our visitors come for return trips!
