Välkommen till den viktorianska rosen på Blossom View Cottages. Vi ligger i det historiska järnvägsdistriktet, mindre än en halv mil från OSF, teatrar, Plaza och Downtown.

VICTORIAN ROSE (2 BDRM-2 BATH-Sleeps 6)
Låt denna vackra stuga i ett historiskt hem fylla dig med en känsla av komfort och lyx. Detta 875 kvadratmeter stora hem har två sovrum, alla med en dubbelsäng. En bäddsoffa i vardagsrummet kan sova ytterligare två personer (eller använd drottningens luftmadrass istället). Ett av sovrummen har ett bifogat badrum med duschkabin. Det andra badrummet är nyrenoverat och har en kombination av badkar-dusch och det expansiva köket är fullt utrustat för att laga genomarbetade eller enkla måltider. Njut av ditt kaffe / glas vin i det separata matsalen, på verandan med utsikt över trädgården, eller helt enkelt gå ut till de många restaurangerna och kaféerna i närheten. En privat veranda på baksidan ger ytterligare tyst läsning eller matplats medan du tittar ut i den omgivande trädgården.

Det finns några steg (2/3) för att komma in i huset, men en gång inuti är alla bostadsområden på samma nivå. Parkera på fastigheten och gå till de lokala intressena och de fantastiska restaurangerna bara några steg bort. Vi tillhandahåller fint linne och handdukar för våra gäster. Böcker som spänner över en rad olika genrer, gratis internet / wifi och kabel-TV finns också. Ashland Food Co-Op är mindre än fem minuter bort om du behöver hämta matvaror eller tillbehör. Ett berömt lokalt kafé och restaurangrestauranger ligger bara några steg bort.

Den viktorianska rosen byggdes 1901 i folket viktoriansk stil. Det finns i det nationella register över historiska hem.

Cute house for 2 couples

This house is cute and clean. The check-in process was easy and smooth and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is about 12 blocks to the theater...about a 15 minute walk, so fairly convenient.

Stay at a Hallmark movie set

Beautiful home with everything you need to relax. Well stocked, clear instructions for check in and out, all in walking distance to in-town attractions. The doe kept guard on the back door while we were away. Would stay again and recommend others.

Our best stay in Ashland

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and very well situated in town. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to cook most of our meals there. It's in a quiet neighborhood where you can walk to anything you might want.

Charm & Convenience

A long-time friend and I stayed for 4 nights, seeing 4 plays (and 2 prefaces) at OSF. It's our 2nd year at this cottage and we're already looking forward to next year. The cottage is very comfortable and a short walk to the theaters at OSF. Even closer are Noble Coffee and The Peerless for daily coffee and a great concluding dinner. (They're both at the end of the alley alongside the cottage.)

Lovely accommodations

We were very comfortable in this charming home. There are so many unexpected extras throughout the house that made the visit even more special, like the table games, extra linens, and the kitchen stocked full of everything you could possibly need. We all remarked at how clean the home was and how the furniture was very comfortable.It was just a few blocks walk into town and to the Shakespeare Theaters. We found excellent restaurants and shops along our walks. We walked through Lithia Park and even enjoyed a street market while we were there.We would definitely stay at this house again and plan to make this an annual trip.

Perfect for OSF

Three of us (couple and a single) enjoyed our five night stay. Location is great. Only 15 min walk to downtown and theaters. Enjoyed some great food at walkable restaurants. Cottage, although older, is nicely appointed and equipped. Would stay again if the space was needed.

Perfect Stay!!

Great location! 1/4 block from Peerless Restaurant (our favorite!) and an easy 1/2 mile walk to the theatre. Cottage is charming with all the amenities including the lovely front porch for morning coffee and reading.

Very conveniently located house for everything in Ashland! Challenging to find after dark but once found, getting in was well explained and easy. Generally clean but has a well-lived in feel. Good place to stay if you're going to be mostly out and about in Ashland.

Sweet cottage in a great area

This is a clean, comfortable, sweet cottage. In the heart of the Railroad district with all it has to offer. Also an easy walk to downtown and Lithia Park. I stayed in February so did not take advantage of the front porch, but it would be fun to hang out there in the summer and say hello to the people passing by.

Location location location

I love Ashland and the house was walking distance from all my favorite haunts. Nice outdoor seating for coffee and breakfast in the morning, comfortable seating inside. What’s not to like.

Great location, affordable, clean

No complaints about this listing. It's a quick walk to the theaters and shops. Nice neighborhood. Very clean and well stocked. We would stay here again. I suggest the owner hire a gardener to maintain the front and back yards. The trees and bushes are overgrown and in need of water and the lawns are mostly weeds. Most neighbors here have beautiful yards so they would probably appreciate this as well.

The property was in a nice area with off street parking and located within a short distance to shopping and restaurants and events. Manager was prompt with an answer to a question I had. Cute landscaping with outdoor seating to enjoy our stay. Generally clean. It could use an easy chair in living area.

Wonderful House Great Location!

My husband and I stayed here with another couple on our annual OSF weekend. What a great time we had in this beautiful house! Location is perfect. We ate almost next door at Peerless one night, shopped at the Co-op just 2 blocks away for a dinner in with some local friends the next, and enjoyed coffee on the lovely front porch both mornings. There's a bike rental place right across the street. And the theatres and downtown are minutes away on foot. The house itself was very clean and very comfortable. The hosts were very pleasant and easy to reach. They were very helpful when we wanted to catch a matinee before heading out of town and needed a place to stow our bags as we didn't have a car. Highly recommend!!

Worn furnishings, convenient location

Furnishings OK on first glance, but when you look closer, you noticed the stained couch, worn bedspread edges, and mildew in the showers. Kitchen equipment is cheap so plan on eating out most the time. Decor looks as though probably came from Goodwill. Odd design layout with second bathroom off the kitchen. The second bedroom has you go through the dining room and living room and kitchen to access this bathroom. The mattress in the second bedroom is poor, because it lists both vertically and horizontally, making you roll around, trying to find a stable place to sleep. The primary bedroom mattress was good. Really tiny television. Good Internet service. Excellent air conditioning during record high 99° day. The location is excellent as regards the Ashland co-op store, restaurants, reasonable proximity to OSF Plaza. These comments take into account the amount paid (over $1700 for 4 weeknights M-Thurs, last week in September).

We used to visit Ashland for Shakespeare Festival and fell in love with this charming, quaint town. Eventually, we decided to call Ashland our home. Like many residents of this lovely town, we continue to be enchanted by Ashland.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The original house on the property, Victorian Rose, is on the Register of Historic Places. The house was built in 1901 and was lovingly renovated in 2015. The second house on the property , Blue Hyacinth, was a latter addition but shares the characteristics of the older homes prevalent around Ashland. We love the location in the very popular Railroad District - its proximity to OSF, the stores in downtown and the restaurants and galleries on A Street.

Luxury, Comfort, Location - WOW!
The cottages are located in a residential neighborhood yet are within three blocks to downtown. The Food Co-Op is two short blocks away and A-Street is half a block away. Park your car on the property and walk to the theater and other local interests. Each cottage has a porch, so you can enjoy wine/coffee in private or walk a few steps to the cafes and restaurants and mingle with the locals.
A famous local coffee shop and a landmark, popular restaurant are literally in our backyard!
