GÄrden ligger 45 minuter frÄn Brno flygplats. Det Àr avskilt i slutet av vÀgen och sÄ Àr det tyst utan förbipasserande trafik. Den ligger i ett ledande lÀge pÄ sidan av en kulle med utsikt över byn Vrtezir. Huvudhuset har 4 sovrum, ett modernt kök med öppen matsal och vardagsrum. Det finns 1 badrum och 2 separata toaletter. Bakom bondgÄrden finns en hÀstsko-arrangemang av lador och stall med en liten stuga fÀstad Ätskild med ett 6ft staket för privatlivet. GÄrden Àr helt ackrediterad som en biogÄrd. Det Àr omgivet av frukttrÀdgÄrdar av Apple, PÀron, plommon och körsbÀr som alla ger en mÀngd fÀrsk frukt under sÀsongen. Cider tillverkas pÄ fastigheten. Det finns ocksÄ hyror att hyra för ridning pÄ begÀran. Den granne gÄrden har en liten kor kor och annars Àr alla Äkbar.
Keppler gÄrd renoverades och förvÀrvades 2010 av en ung engelskman frÄn London.

Detta omrÄde i det tjeckiska höglandet Àr mycket vackert. Vrtezir ligger 1 km frÄn byn Stepanov nad Svratkou som har en pub / hotell, ett postkontor, stormarknad, apotek och en allmÀn butik. För omfattande shopping Àr Bystrice nad Pernstejnem 5 mil bort och har banker och allt du behöver.
Pernstejnem slott i Nedvedice Àr cirka 4 miles avstÄnd och Àr vÀl vÀrt en dagstur, ridning finns pÄ gÄrden.
Staden Jhilava ligger 40 minuter bort och Àr en gammal muromgÀrdad stad och vÀl vÀrt ett besök med sina medeltida byggnader och en trevlig zoo. Zdar nad Sazavou ligger 25 minuters avstÄnd med Unesco Santini-kyrkan och Kinsky Castle. 40 minuter i motsatt riktning Àr staden Brno som har en mÀngd attraktioner. Prag Àr en 2 timmars bilresa mot norr och Wien en 2. 5 timmars bilresa till söder
BÄde Nedvedice och Bystrice har en bra jÀrnvÀgstrafik med tÄg till Bro central sedan till Wien och Zdar / Prag. Brno har en flygplats som betjÀnas av Ryan Air och av Whiz Air till London Luton och Stansted och Einhoven i NederlÀnderna
Bystrice har ett stort modernt utomhuspoolkomplex tillsammans med tennisbanor etc.
Tennisbana i byn Àr lera och kan anvÀndas nÀr som helst.

Lovely holiday

We had a very pleasant stay. The house is cosy and well equipped. Friendly and helpful owners and a sweet dog. Nice swimming pool which we used after our trips in the surrounding area. We highly recommend Keppler Farm!

Un endroit magnifique en pleine nature

Huck et Klara nous ont trĂšs bien accueilli dans cette maison magnifique trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e, grande et disposĂ©e Ă  flan de colline, de quoi apprĂ©cier Ă  sa juste valeur le charme du paysage offert par la vallĂ©e. La piscine est magnifique et trĂšs bien entretenue. MalgrĂ© une mĂ©tĂ©o parfois capricieuse, nous avons pu visiter cette partie de la TchĂ©quie qui nous Ă©tait mĂ©connue et avons rĂ©ellement apprĂ©ciĂ© le voyage, en particulier Olomouc, Brno et le chĂąteau de Telc. Un bien beau pays qui gagne Ă  ĂȘtre dĂ©couvert.

Geweldige vakantie

Met onze vier kinderen (9-16 jaar) hebben we een geweldige vakantie gehad in Vrtezir. Het huis is fijn en comfortabel. Ook bij minder mooi weer waren er voldoende mogelijkheden om ons te vermaken. De omgeving is prachtig, rustig met veel mogelijkheden voor een uitje of wandeling. De eigenaars zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam, als goede buren. De kinderen hebben veel geleerd van de eigenaar die met passie vertelt over de natuur, bomen, paarden en omgeving. Het zwembad is heerlijk op warmere dagen en met het dak erover ook op minder mooie dagen. Kortom, wij hebben genoten!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in MĂ€hren

Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage in einem einsamen Dorf mit viel GartenflĂ€che. Es ist sehr gerĂ€umig und mit zwei Balkonen auch bei schlechtem Wetter von großer AufenthaltsqualitĂ€t. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt sehr entspannte AtmosphĂ€re. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt. Die Umgebung liefert auch zahlreiche Ausflugsziele. Wir können das Haus weiter empfehlen.

Beautiful farmhouse with friendly owners

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Keppler farm. The owners were very friendly, and gave us lots of tips for things to do that suited our interests. They were always there if we needed anything, but we not at all intrusive. We enjoyed picking fruit and relaxing in the garden and in the pool. One of our party went horse riding most mornings and the owner's way of teaching and guiding the rides was really good! Unfortunately it was too hot for us to enjoy as much of the surroundings as we would have liked, but we enjoyed ourselves just the same. The house had all the modcons needed, the gas cooker was slightly on the weak side, but we barbecued most nights anyway. A couple of spots looked like they had been missed while cleaning (behind the cooker and under one of the beds) Other than that, it was a clean and modern house that I would definitely recommend to others!!

Wonderful farm in a beautiful location

The farm house is clean, has good views, and is incredibly spacious with beautiful natural light pouring into every room. The kitchen is large and well-equipped and connects right onto the dining room, which makes serving very easy. The owners who live across the yard on the same property were very friendly and accommodating but never intrusive. Walks out the back door take you up into higher fields and woods. Closer to the house are an apple orchard, chickens, ducks and horses, and an above-ground swimming pool. The hamlet itself (Vrtezir) barely includes a dozen households, but there is a big town about 15 minutes away called Bystrice with grocery stores, banks, restaurants, etc. We highly recommend a side trip to the Pernstejnem Castle, which is a magnificent structure in the area that’s been rehabilitated. If you have younger children, then a side trip to Eden Centrum (or Eden Center) on the outskirts of Bystrice is worth it. It’s an old chateau/manor farm from the 18-19th centuries with various exhibits and a few acres of restored agricultural village homes and shops and farm animals out back where families can roam about and have a picnic. We enjoyed our week’s stay very much and would highly recommend the Keppler Farm to anyone looking for a place in the countryside of the Czech Republic.

Great place

We loved exploring the local countryside, castles and villages but most of all we loved just pottering about the farm -- picking cherries from the tree (the best we have ever tasted!), feeding the animals (sheep, chickens), collecting eggs, walking with the dogs, wandering through the fields and forest. Tim, the host, was always available if we needed anything. The house was very well equipped for all our needs. We would love to return.

A hidden gem!

We just enjoyed a wonderful holiday here. The setting is ideal, very peaceful, with stunning views over the valley in a little village called Vrtezir. The house was very comfortable and spacious and was perfect for our family and could easily accommodate 3 couples with children. The beds are all new, so you’ll definitely have a good nights sleep. It has fully equipped kitchen and plenty of seating for everybody. We loved hanging out in the sitting room in the evening with the wood burner fire going. It has internet and phone, in case you need to stay connected. We spent our days walking in the countryside, which even in the winter was quite beautiful. There is a lot to do, as the farm is working place with horses, chickens, sheep and dogs and we went for a wonderful ride through the forest, accompanied by their English speaking groom, who looks after the horses that are on site. We took a day trip into Vienna, Austria, a two hour drive away and also visited the local castle, Pernstejnam and the Unesco sites in Zdar. Nearby Brno, provides local shops and was very festive when we were there. Prague is also easily accessible but we didn’t make it there. Maybe next time! You will have a wonderful break in Vrtezir. A holiday to remember. We loved it and hope to return.

A Special Place

We stayed there for one week with our two teenage kids. It was quite beautiful there. The farmhouse is nestled in rolling hills with farmland interspersed with pine forest. We really got an authentic feel for both farm living and for living in the Moravian countryside. Very comfortable yet not touristy or overly packaged. We enjoyed so many aspects of staying at the farmhouse: the long walks through the fields and forest, picking cherries and the small yellow plums they grow in the orchard, hanging out with the chickens who wander around the property, feeding the lambs. Also, the fresh eggs and apple cider from the farm were delicious. Our kids fell in love with Huck's dogs, Artie and Sandy. Huck and Tim were great hosts - they were always available, friendly and helpful but they also gave us the privacy we very much wanted. We were in Prague the week before and that was extraordinary, but staying at the eco farm gave us and our kids a much less diluted feel for living in the Czech Republic.

Stay at wonderful Czech countryside

The farmhouse is spacious, quiet, bright, located in the very pretty Czech countryside (with a hot-air balloon passing in front of the living room window..) and sufficiently equipped, (wifi.. ) for a great and relaxing stay, complemented by the welcoming service provided by the owner. We would already recommend staying at the house; with a couple of further improvements (modernising bathroom, part of kitchen) it would go towards a 5 star stay.

Beautiful place for vacation

My husband and I stayed here for a week in July. The owners were very nice and helpful. The house is equipped with everything you need, it is roomy and quiet, lots of daylight. I loved the balcony of the middle bedroom, it has a very beautiful view over the village and the hills, shade most of the day and a great place to sit and read. There is also a balcony in the first bedroom. Some of our visitors would have liked to have Czech TV channels, there were only Brittish ones. In Nedvedice less than 10 min drive away there is a nice restaurant by a little river and the Pernsteijn castle is a must see attraction. A great place to stay if you want to relax in the country side.
