Great place to stay, neighbor is not so neighborly

Place and host were great! I would stay again but….you must know the neighbor is not so great. Parking is not so easy because of neighbor. If you’re able to walk down the hill from a cul-de-sac then you will have no issues. You must follow the rules of parking or else you will get a visit from your friendly neighborhood police officer! Just follow the rules and everything is perfect! Everyone is aware of this neighbor and the rest of the neighbors are willing to help out and work with you on parking! Great host!

Very pleasant stay

This was a 5 STAR stay. The owner was fantastic to work with. Very communicative. The property was surrounded by trees, giving a real sense of solitude. The home was quaint and had a real sense of warmth. The kitchen was well stocked. My friends and I were very happy to have spent time at this location! It was wonderful.

This is a great location for distance town but still close enough to go shop and explore Manhattan. The checkin and out process was easy.

Disappointed

Obviously the place had not been cleaned since the last occupants. Beds unmade, bathroom towels on the floor, trashes overflowing, food on the floor, overall disgusting. Owner said he would have a talk with his cleaning crew, but only gave a partial refund. Host still owes us $77.50 Not responding to messages!

The title of the property was “Remodeled”. Nothing looked like anything had been updated. The toilet seat in main floor bathroom has 3 big scuffs out of it. The bathroom was outdated. The deck overlooks part of Tuttle Creek but it looks like it is rotting away. Wifi was very spotty

Parking nightmare

Host provided false parking information and as you can probably guess, if you read other reviews, the cops came. I would give the police officer that was forced to come out and show us where we can parkstarxreview.

Disappointed

The house accommodations were over promised. Very unsafe parking for motorcycles. Need gravel. Shower off the kitchen did not work. Cupboard doors were off. Stool in bathroom moves. Counter in the bathroom moves. Head of Bed in upstairs bedroom lifts up when you sit in the end of the bed. Neighbors were very nice. Deck moves when people walk around. Maintenance has been neglected.

Book if you want to meet local law enforcement!!!!

I was so very disappointed in the misinformation provided about the parking situation. The homeowner misrepresented the parking available to us and the police were called on us for parking in a "NO PARKIMG AREA" owned by the neighbor. If we would have been told the correct information, we could have saved the police a trip out to tell us to move our cars and we would not have been extremely late to our scheduled outing. This set the mood for the whole evening and weekend. Don't let the information provided by the homeowner and/or information printed in the house cause problems for you if you choose to book this property. It is definately not set up for more than one car, kids or pets!!!!!

Property had not been cleaned when we arrived and had to rush to make other arrangements. We did receive a full refund but very inconvenient.

Overgrown weeds

Property not taken care of at all. Overgrown weeds. Very weak balcony. Pond was gross full of moss. The dog kennel was not able to be used at all. And parking up at the neighbors. Could even go outside unless we were leaving

The setting was great. A very quiet place. Two family members slept on the lower level and heard rodents moving around in the ceiling and walls. There were scratching sounds. It seemed could use some TLC.

Great Property, Great Views!

I stayed here with a few students while we were attending a convention on the K-State Campus. The property was very nice - we really enjoyed hanging out on the deck and the beautiful view! The drive to the house was also beautiful! The neighbor to the south (up the hill) was very nice and came to greet us and made sure we knew where to park so the neighbor to the north didn't get upset. One thing we found out - what looks like the "driveway" is actually an easement road, so it should just be used to access the VRBO property - don't "loiter" in the driveway. The parking spot next to the house is only big enough for a small car, and if your vehicle hangs over the property line, the neighbor to the north will report you to the police. Fortunately the neighbor to the south has a big parking area and allowed us to park there. Otherwise, the house was very nice and clean, nice decor, and mostly comfy beds. No Keurig, unfortunately. We would absolutely stay there again!

Great place

This property was great for our annual girls trip. Located in a private country area but still close to many towns/attractions. The view from the wrap around deck was beautiful! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The neighbor is crazy and out of control. We left after first night. Waiting for a refund. We were in Kansas for a funeral and this neighbor made the stay very uncomfortable with threats. So sad!
