Family Tradition

Been staying at this little slice of heaven ever summer with my grandkids for nine years now! So you might say it has become a family tradition! Absolutely love our vacation here and look forward to next year Lord willing!

Nice location, clean cabin, great get-away!

Very nice cabin overlooking the lake; porch sitting was relaxing. It was Memorial Day Weekend during our stay so the campground across from the cabin was busy and a bit noisy with jet skis and boats. Not much internet connection so a quiet time watching a few movies. Beds were comfortable and full size kitchen as well.

We enjoyed the cabin. Great cabin and great price.

Easy to rent. Would have liked to have key instructions before arriving. Dennis was quick to answer our question about how to enter the cabin. That was nice to get that info so quickly.

Peace and Beauty

This little cabin was everything we needed! Very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the vast assortment of butterflies that we saw daily and the little hummingbirds. We saw deer across the lake in the early morning mist. Magical and healing!!

Just what I needed.

The cabin was very nice and right on the water. I definitely recommend it if you want some fun on the lake. It was everything I needed and my favorite part was every night the whole sky was lit up with stars which I don’t see much of anymore. I already miss it!

Good time

Cabin was nice. Grounds were not so nice. Grass high and nasty mudd in parking area ruining a $75.00 pair of shoes. We had a nice stay overall.

Excellent Location, but there are snakes

We loved the cabin, it was clean and well air conditioned. We were not able to use the lake because there were snakes. Also, there are a lot of bees. I would highly recommend this location despite the critters!

Quiet and peaceful

We stayed here over Thanksgiving; we enjoyed the view of the lake and walking our dog around the lake. The cabin is part of a campground on the lake so in the warmer months the lake will be a bit busier but this time of year it was very quiet. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable! There was a little portable electric fireplace that I used most of the time, which added a lot of ambiance. The location is about 20 minutes to Crossville and 30 minutes to Cookeville. Monterey was close by, about 10 minutes and seemed like a really cute town. Definitely recommend this.

WONDERFUL FAMILY GETAWAY!

This was our first visit to this hidden gem. We are allready trying to plan another trip. We took 4 grandchildren ages 6 and 7. They loved everything about the trip and so did we. The beach was great and the water is so clean and clear. This is all family owned and operated and it shows. Quaint, quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed the Muddy Pond community also. I just can’t say enough. Everything was just perfect and how we wanted to spend Soring Break with the grands. We made so many memories and we were all sad to leave. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy the outdoors and get those kids off of their devices (Wifi worked great but everyone wanted to be outdoors). Thanks to Dennis and family for sharing this piece of heaven.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed.Waking up to the lake and opening the windows was like a dream. We caught and released a couple fish.We will stay here again for sure!

Pros: Location, privacy, air conditioning, scenery, very nice host Dennis.Cons: Bugs, Bugs and MORE Bugs inside everywhere. We could not leave any food out at all!No locks on bedroom doorsOne very tiny bedroom no extra blankets.Could use better curtains.The nice black sofa and chair in the listing was not there.Even with all that, we managed to have a nice time anyway. I think it would be wonderful in the winter when all the bugs are not around.The flies and gnats were the most things we had a problem with.

Lakeside lounging!

The weather was not cooperative most of our stay but we were able to take a nice walk around the lake one day. Even though it rained most of the time, our stay was wonderful just lounging inside looking at the amazing view. A great cabin to get away and relax.

Perfect

We booked this property after our Christmas plans changed suddenly and we had to travel The lake was beautiful and since it’s the middle of winter, we had the whole place to ourselves. The cabin was cozy but big enough to cook and serve Christmas dinner to our family. We would love to visit again when the weather is warmer and we can take advantage of all the lake has to offer.

Nice cabin on the lake, good for families

Very nice cabin on the lake. Very peaceful. We got there before the Fourth of July crowds so the grounds became a little more populated toward the end of our stay but nothing that would ruin anyone's enjoyment. Overall, it was a fun stay. I like the fact that they have added wifi to the cabins. The only extremely minor drawback was with a family of four we were constantly running out of utensils. It was easy enough to just hand wash them but it was an everyday thing with forks. Next time we will be prepared and bring our own plasticware. But overall, it was terrific. We have been to this cabin several times and we would not hesitate to go back!

Girl trip

This little cabin has a beautiful view of the lake and the scenery was gorgeous. It’s was very quiet while we were there. My brain needed to hear those whipperwhills again along with the crickets
lol. Cabin was spotless and clean. Had all you needed for a getaway. Absolutely loved it. Hope to back again

Being watched! 😳

The cabin itself was decent, but i took a shower and when i got out the mirror was steamed up and you could see where someone had wrote on the mirror ( I see you sleeping this place is cool. So needless to say my husband spent quite a bit of time searching the cabin for cameras. SO NOT COOL!! we will not be staying there again. So if you chose to stay there be aware of this.
