We loved the family feel of this house. My brothers and I come from four different areas and don’t see each other altogether as frequently as we would like, so having the gathering spaces to sit and talk made our trip more special. It is very convenient to local attractions by walking or driving.

Excellent place near the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne. Rooms were clean and taken care of, there were plenty of rooms and bathrooms for multiple guests, the kitchen was clean, and overall, it was a nice large space for many guests. Host was easy to talk to, was prompt with communications, and was attentive and pleasant. We definitely would book this place again if we're in the Fort Wayne area (and if it's available, too -- I bet this will be booked a lot). Anyway, five stars, no complaints, excellent experience and stay.

The House worked out great for our large group who were in town for the North American Brass Band Championships. Plenty of sleeping room/beds for everyone in our group, kitchen was great for making some shared meals for everyone. Also used the grill outside one day. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a lovely place for my bachelorette party! The only real issue was that there was a leak in the kitchen from the upstairs bathroom.

Hannah, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that you had a less than perfect stay for your bachelorette party. Yes, unexpected leaks can happen on any house, but it seems even more so with historic houses. The leaking was noted by the guest just prior to your stay. We try to work repairs in between bookings when possible. Since then, the leak has been repaired. In fact, the plumber replaced the piping with new PVC & new drywall - taking 10 hrs to do the repair. So I'm just glad we were able to get it done without having to cancel your booking.

This property was actually as good as it looks (I was concerned — it looked too good to be true for the price.) Wanda responded to any questions promptly, the neighborhood is nice, and the house itself is fascinating and spacious. Other than a problem with the dishwasher, our stay was ideal. A great find.

A group of 8 of us stay at the home for our 5th annual “Hallmark weekend”. We enjoyed several activities in Fort Wayne most of which were located within 5 minutes of the home. The home met are needs and we enjoyed the large living room where we were all able to sit and chat and play games.
