När du är redo att ta dig ut på dagen är det en enkel fyra mil åk tillbaka till parkvägen och de många aktiviteter som den har att erbjuda - shopping, liveshower, middagsshower, restauranger, go-karts, minigolf - det är alla i närheten. För golfentusiaster är Gatlinburg golfbana bara tre mil från vår stuga. Och låt oss inte glömma - Great Smoky Mountains National Park ligger bara 15-20 minuter bort!

Great view of the mountains; great place to stay!

Bear Haven was a great cabin to stay at. It is tucked out of the way for some peace and quite, but still about 15min to the main strip in Pigeon Forge. The view off the deck is beautiful! We saw some great sunrises from the deck. The cabin was beautifully decorated for fall, too. Overall, Bear Haven was a wonderful place to stay.

Great Place

The road to paradise is steep, but dang is it ever worth the trip. Bear Haven is in great shape, awesome views, great accommodations, everything needed to feel like home. Very comfortable place to spend some quiet time. Close to everything. The host (Peggy) was great from start to finish. We will be back.

Beautiful

We stayed in bear haven during spring break. The photographs do not show how pretty and immaculate the cabin was. The views were amazing. Perfect sun rises from the veranda. The location was perfect close to everything. The hot tub was a perfect addition . We had an amazing time and absolutely loved the cabin. Would highly recommend others to stay here. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Peggy. X

Pictures don't do this cabin justice!! We loved this cabin we intentionally looked for cabins that would fit our family including my mother-in-law and father-in-law who are 82. We were sold on the views of this place with bathroom and bedrooms on the bottom level. We were blew away when we walked in the cabin it was so cute and we all loved the decorations and then we walked on the deck and the view was amazing. It was beautiful! My in laws loved that they could walk on the deck anytime with no steps actually they said they have never had a view so pretty and they have been coming to the Pigeon Forge area for many years. We also got to bring our fur baby Lady along. Peggy the owner was so nice and communicated great. If you are looking for a cabin great for the whole family this is it:)

This property was everything it promised and more! The owner was prompt to reply with questions, the cabin was perfect for us - plenty of room, a nice hot tub, space to relax on the deck, and THE VIEW! The entire Smoky Mountain experience was wonderful, and this property was perfect for us. We will be back!

Tranquility at it Finest!

It was our annual family vacation and this year we took our doggies, Groot and Nova with us. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The porch is the best place and we spent most of our time on it. There were two screened doors that enclosed the porch so the pups could explore and check out the views without being on a leash. All the little touches in the cabin were so unexpected and appreciated. Had an amazing time and was so sad to leave. Thank you for sharing your place because my family had so much fun and much needed down time.

Excellent Stay!

This was our second stay at Bear Haven and we loved it! The cabin is very comfortable and full of all the things we needed for our stay. The porch has an amazing view and you feel tucked away from it all but it’s only a short drive back to Pigeon Forge. We will stay again!!

Little slice of heaven

We called the property manager on Monday as our trip was booked for Weds-Saturday and last minute we’re interested in coming a day early. Peggy had an answer for us within 15 min and we were able to start our vacation early. The cabin is beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you could want and more! She really thought of everything. We even brought our two dogs and she had treats out for them in the kitchen! The view from the porch is breathtaking! We also took advantage of the wood burning fireplace as well! Kids loved the hot tub too! The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the small side but you’re only in them to sleep and the beds are VERY comfortable! We will be back! Thanks Peggy!

No Stay

I spoke with property owner the day before my scheduled check-in. She assured she was sitting down to email check-in info to me. The next day, I still had not received info. So, I called her...no answer. I left a voice message. Three more calls & voice mails later, I had still not gotten a response. I found the address of the property & went to it. We sat there for about 2 hrs. hoping to hear from the owner. This was around 4 PM. I finally called VRBO & talked with an agent. He tried to contact the host with no luck. He offered to give us one night's lodging elsewhere. However, I didn't want to relocate, then have to relocate again after just having driven 8 hrs. to reach the property. I asked him for a refund under the circumstances. He agreed that was probably the best avenue to resolve this issue since we had no contact from the host. I was lucky enough to find a motel. At 9:56 PM, almost 7 hours after our check-in time at the cabin the host finally called me. She apologized profusely & said she was sick & had been asleep & didn't hear the phone calls. I told her to forget it, that we had made other arrangements. Shortly after our phone conversation, the host sent me an email with all the codes & instructions for checking into the cabin! She said she had computer problems, phone problems & had been ill & that's why she didn't respond to me. I called VRBO & made them aware of this contact. The agent agreed this was ridiculous and way too late. I am waiting on my refund!!

A great stay with a great view!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Bear Haven. The owner was very organized and well prepared for guests. The view was spectacular from the back porch. We really enjoyed coming back to such a peaceful setting after spending the day sightseeing. We really enjoyed the extra little touches and thought put into everything to make our stay special. A well stocked kitchen, grill, and hot tub were great to have.

Bear Haven

Bear Haven is a wonderful cabin to rent if you are going to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. It is centrally located and only takes 10-15 minutes to get to all the attractions. The cabin itself is beautiful. Wonderful view from the large deck. It was very clean and although the host says it only has a starter pack of all the necessities (tp, paper towel, soaps), we never had to buy more. There was plenty for the 6 of us. And the host has the cabin beautifully decorated for the 4th of July! It was really nice. There are plenty of kitchen supplies, and the dishes, cooking utensils, and pots and pans are all of good quality. Actually better than I have at home! lol The beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra blankets if needed. We all slept great! Peggy was easy to get in touch with and I'm sure that if we had any problems (we didn't), she would have taken care of them. The keyless entry worked great. Thank you Peggy for having the perfect place for us to relax and have fun and celebrate my 65th birthday!

The view is wonderful!

Beautiful two level cabin. Was stocked with everything we needed to start off with from bathroom to kitchen. Kitchen had everything we needed from pots and pans to a small crock pot. Beds are comfortable. King bed is upstairs along with one of the bathrooms and the pool table. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are small but it's all you really need. However most of our family is tall and it would have been nice for the ceiling in the upstairs bathroom to be a little higher. The porch is really nice for morning coffee, rocking and looking at the awsome mountain view. No need for 4wd in the summer, but the drive up to the cabin is steep and narrow pretty much all the way. Thankfully we never met anyone either way. We would definitely stay here again. If you love mountain views this is definitely for you!

Wonderful experience

Extremely clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked. Anything you could want is in the kitchen cabinets, many games for the family. Amazing views. This is by far one of the best cabins I have ever stayed in in this area. Communication with the host was easy. I will definitely recommend this rental to friends and family.

Views of the Smokey's that WOW!

My family spent a few days at Bear Haven and had a wonderful time. The property is clean, comfortable, and extremely well stocked. I definitely overpacked based on previous cabins I've stayed at that were not nearly as well stocked as this one. The beds are comfortable, the hot tub was amazing, and the views are breathtaking. Watching the sunrise is definitely a must! We had such a great time and I would highly recommend staying at Bear Haven.

Very clean and well taken care of maintenance wise. Great views the best I've had in my rentals.

Relaxing was the best part of the cabin. Whether indoors are outdoors relaxation was all ways this cabin offered.

Once they get your money, about 2 weeks from you vacation date, owner sends you pages of rules. She expects you to clean and leave cabin as you found it. Tells you what to set thermostat temperatures on. If you move something put it back. Too many decorations. No place to put your things. Place was dusty, they have sign telling you to hold the toilet handle down until it flushes. The toilet thing broke, had to take lid off and manually flush it. Couldn't use hot tub, it smelled moldy and musky. She said if you damage the cover she will charge you 350.00. We took pictures because it had tears in it, the seam running across looked like it was coming apart. If you use the barbecue grill she wants you to clean it. We had to put foil on the grate because it was rusty, damaged. The closets have the cheapest metal hangers you can buy. Couldn't hang clothes. Upstairs tub/ shower didn't drain well, causing it to be slippery. Also hair floating around in standing water. Says well stoked kitchen, didn't have any dish towels. Frying pan rocks back and forth on the burner. There were on 8 bath towels and 8 bath cloths in the whole place. I texted her, told her that wasn't enough towels for 6 people for 4 days and she told me, "feel free to wash them". I was shocked. She said it was in rental agreement . It was not. The living room furniture is wore out and uncomfortable. The property is not being upkept. The hangers in bathrooms are about to fall off. Bedroom doors won't stay shut when locked. You can push them right open. The place was dirty. She threatens to charge you for everything. Also won't give a refund. The only thing this place had going for it was the view. The view was awesome. If we had known of all the rules etc we would have never rented it. And will not be renting it in the future. When you go on vacation you want to relax and have fun, not worry about being charged for all kinds of stuff. Because I believe that she charges people for things that should be her upkeep. They also have an envelope on the microwave asking you to leave the housekeeper a gratuity. Already being charged 150.00 for cleaning and place is dirty, unsanitary. If your not out by 10:00 sharp she charges you 50.00 more per hour. There is false advertising for this rental. P.s. she wants you to carry all of your dirty towels downstairs and put them in jacuzzi. Not sure we will go through vrbo anymore because the rental agreement is not listed on the website.

Great set up for dogs and beautiful views

The property was great and perfect for our 2 dogs because the deck was enclosed with two screen doors on each end. Made relaxing on the deck very enjoyable without having the dogs on a leash the whole time. Very nice views! I really loved this home. My only complaint was the housekeeper forgot to wipe the dining table off and clean the fridge and microwave. There was hair on the floor in the bathrooms as well. The dining table had crumbs and sticky all over it. My mom was with us and she has professionally cleaned homes all of her life and she was not impressed. Luckily we always bring cleaning supplies on trips so we can clean ourselves. The owner did say to call if we felt it was not clean but we just felt better to clean it ourselves. I would still stay at this property again.

The Pigeon Forge area offers such a wide variety of things to do. From hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with its awesome vistas, to visiting one of the many live shows, to shopping at any of the wonderful outlet stores in search of that great bargain we are always able to find something to keep us busy no matter what the season!

In the years before buying Bear Haven, we actually rented several cabins on our road. It was such a peaceful and quiet location yet so convenient to the Parkway and all the activities! When we finally decided to purchase a cabin we looked at dozens of cabins but always migrated back to this area. In the end, it was an easy decision - our hearts were here!

Relax, renew and refresh! What more can I say? The view of Mt. LeConte from our deck is absolutely awesome! No matter what the season the view is beautiful. In winter, there is a chance you will see the distant mountain tops covered in snow. Come spring and everything is budding out in the brightest of greens. Summertime reveals the mature deep greens of all the trees and in the fall they put on their brightest colors - rich reds, oranges, and golds!

And the best part is that all of this is just minutes from the Parkway so when you have recharged your spirits you can get back to all the activities in no time at all!
