Der Außenbereich der Villa ist wirklich toll: groß, guter Pool, Grill, viele Sitzgelegenheiten. Leider gibt es aber viele Straßenkatzen, die auch auf dem Grundstück leben und sobald man draußen isst auch häufig vorbeischauen. Die Villa selbst ist aber in die Jahre gekommen: die Zimmer rochen teils muffig, die Betten sind alt und wirken instabil, eine Zimmertür schließt nicht richtig. Eine Basisausstattung an Öl oder Salz gab es auch nicht, was schade ist. Der Vermieter ist eine Agentur, wodurch es zwar professionell ist, aber man bekommt sehr viele Nachrichten (zum Teil auch mit Werbung für einen Mietwagen). Letztlich würden wir aufgrund der etwas mangelnden Wohlfühlatmosphäre in der Villa wahrscheinlich nicht wieder kommen.

Villa charmante, localisation appréciable si vehiculé. Logement équipé.Hôte réactif aux multiples problématiques rencontrées =- bouteille de gaz vide à notre arrivée, mais changement dès le lendemain.- piscine non entretenue à notre arrivée, malgré le chlore rajoutée le lendemain, les parois de la piscine restent sales.- présence de nombreux moustiques rendant la vie à l’extérieur difficile (valable sur l’ensemble de l’île).- à la suite de fortes pluies, une fuite a eu lieu dans une des chambres, les draps mouillés ont été changés, mais une odeur désagréable a persisté.

Nice, spacious outside area

Nice, spacious outside area. Some road noise during the day but at night we loved listening to the tinkle of sheep bells. Pool was murky and turned everything that came into contact with it yellow – but this was responded to quickly. No pool towels provided (unless you pay extra). Inside had issues – showers were scaldingcold, beds were wobbly, oven was broken. Found the absence of any bins and the instruction to dispose of all rubbish yourselfface a penalty to be unreasonable at this price point and added unnecessary stress on the last day. House is approx 2k from Pollensa which was lovely and we had no problem parking as used the free carpark alongside the road which always had spaces.

We had a very nice week at Villa Frares. The outdoor area is fantastic, with many nice seating areas and the orchard with oranges and lemons. And of course the swimming pool. Inside it is a bit darker than expected and also more dated than expected. But all in all we had a wonderful week.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und hat alles geboten was man brauchte. Tatsächlich hatten wir am Tag vor Abreise leider Probleme mit dem Strom. Nach einem kurzen Telefonat, kam die Hausbesitzerin mit einemElektriker vorbei, der das Problem lösen konnte. Da hier tatsächlich eine Leitung beschädigt war, hat das Ganz etwas länger gedauert - was am letzten Tag natürlich nicht optimal ist. Aber die Hausbesitzerin und der Elektriker waren super nett und haben sich richtig Mühe gegeben und letztlich alle Probleme gelöst. Lieben Dank dafür !

The house is located in a good spot outside of the city

The house is located in a good spot outside of the city. It's an old house, with a lot of cool tools and stuff which was used at certain moment for agriculture. House is quite spacey and you definetely have your personal space. The only problem that we encountered was that the pool was filled with water, but it was quite dirty and not really usable. Other then that, would visit the house again and spend time there.

Wonderful Place

Fantastic place to stay. Very authentic with a lovely local, rural feel yet moments from Pollensa and beaches. Great pool location in front of house. Felt like the Durrell's with the goat bells and chickens nearby.

Villa Frares review

The villa was charming if old fashioned. Outside area is great with lots of space. Beds were very comfortable. The villa is very private and not overlooked. It is outside the town of Pollença but within easy reach and just walkable for an evening meal in the town. The location is very pretty with a view of the countryside and the mountains. Fresh figs and pomegranates and apples were there to be picked in the garden. The sound of the sheep bells is relaxing. The pool is a little small but spotless as was the villa itself. The cleaning staff do a great job. You can't improve this, but it is true that the noise from the ma10 can spoil the experience. It is not constant but the road is fairly busy and the motorbikes in particular are annoying. We had trouble working the oven and had to turn off the gas at the safety switch in a cupboard to make sure that it was safe. I reported this but was advised to continue turning the safety switch off. I didn't feel that this was helpful advice. The downstairs double bedroom was musty and dark. The television was not set up properly but we didn't try to use it till the last night. So you didn't get a chance to fix this in fairness. The gas ran out and we had no hot water for a night and half a day. The service man came the following afternoon and changed the bottle. We could have done this ourselves and avoided cold showers after a long hike!! Perhaps this should be explained to tenants in the paperwork?

Muy buena villa

La villa y la finca eran muy grandes, ideales para disfrutar d ela tranquilidad de la zona. La piscina la barbacoa y demás zonas eran fantásticas. El único pero fue que a mitad de la estancia el WiFi falló, pero tampoco fue algo que nos importó demasiado.

Rigtig dejligt sted med skønne omgivelser og beliggenhed. Dog var vi utilfredse med poolen. Vandet var beskidt allerede den dag vi kom, og det blev kun værre som dagene gik. De 3 sidste dage havde vi slet ikke lyst til at gå i vandet. Der kom ingen og rensede poolen den uge vi boede der Det var en rigtig kedelig oplevelse på et ellers rigtig dejligt ophold.

Too expensive for the standard and comfort of the interior but beautiful exterior

We stayed here during the school Summer holidays in 2018. As a result we paid a premium price tag for a week. We really loved the outside area, beautiful views, fabulous pool and gorgeous fruit trees and land around the property. The inside was very clean. However, unfortunately we found the interior not up to our expectations in terms of comfort and quality of fixtures and fittings. The living room and beds are described as ‘comfortable’. The living room sofas felt very hard. It was difficult to get comfortable. The master bedroom and downstairs bedrooms mattresses were the furthest from comfortable I can articulate. We had a lot of bad nights sleep which is really disappointing. The main light in the kitchen didn’t work, the lamp had missing bulbs, there was no space or cupboard for food storage yet a sign on the wall informing us not to leave out food out due to ants, the shower head in the ensuite was very old and didn’t work properly and the TV did not work at all, the channels buffered and you couldn’t watch anything. Had I not paid as much as I did for the week, I might have been more forgiving of some of these shortcomings in comfort and maintenance but am now at home feeling as if I have wasted quite a lot of money. I have explained to the property managers on my return (and indeed let them know of some of the problems whilst I was there). They have apparently relayed my messages to the owner who has refused to give me any money back at all. I stay in many villas and hotels and this has been a very different and disappointing experience.

Brabbs family visit May-June 2018

Beautiful peaceful authentic finca set in fabulous orchards and close to all amenities. We loved the location and outdoor space with its different seating and eating areas. . Pool was lovely. Hens and guinea fowl calling reminded us of home. It was a photographer's dream (family of photographers) with every nook and corner beautifully arranged with plants, pots and antiques. Delightful. Lovely hot water for showers. Aircon which heated the bedrooms on cold evenings. Yes we needed it! Despite our list of the improvements which are needed (all very simple things) we would definitely come back to this lovely house which felt more like a home than a rental villa. Please thank the owners for us. The lady kindly gave us a basket of eggs . There are no instructions on where to find things i.e. wifi code, washing machine instructions (very different to what we have in UK so not obvious how to use properly) rubbish disposal, local amenities, electric trip-switch ( we had a power failure during a storm which took a while to sort), nearest Doctor/hospital? Who to call in an emergency after office hours? This is all essential information for guests new to the country and the property and not wishing to waste valuable holiday time sorting these issues.
