Det finns INGEN WIFI och cellulär mottagning är inte så bra, men det är det som gör vår plats så speciell !!

För att köra till avskild stugan måste du köra nedför en grusväg och genom en betesmark (allt på vår privata fastighet). De flesta små bilar verkar inte ha några problem, men vi ville informera dig i förväg om vad du kan förvänta dig.

På huvudnivån finns kök, matsal och vardagsrum (med en utdragbar soffa), master bad och sovrum. En kompakt tvättmaskin / torktumlare finns också på huvudnivån. På övervåningen är det andra sovrummet med 2 våningssängar och ett badrum (full storlek med stå upp dusch). Deer Run är byggt för att bekvämt sova 6 personer och rymmer maximalt 8 (mot en extra avgift) om bäddsoffan används. Uteservering finns både på främre och bakre verandor. Alla sängkläder och köksredskap tillhandahålls. Deer Run har centralvärme / luft och satellit-TV i vardagsrummet och sovrummet. Allt du behöver ta med är matvaror, en baddräkt och din fiskestång!

Perfect for unplugging for a weekend.

Absolutely amazing. I can not describe this place with words, it is so much more than that. This is the most beautiful place i have ever rented. The property was so well maintained you can tell the family works really hard to keep this place looking the way it does. My wife and I stayed here for 5 days with are two boys age 6yr and 2 month. We were in town for my grandfather's 95th birthday.I really feel like the lord directed us to this place, as we kinda booked last min. And the first place we tried to book fell though. For our family it had been a hard couple of months, our newborn was 6 weeks early and we had been spending a lot of time at the nicu and traveling back and forth to the hospital. The lord knew this place was just what our family needed. My wife spent the mornings with our newborn and a cup coffee on the back deck over looking the lake as our 6yr old and I were out on the little boat catching bass. Just a perfect way to start the day. The first day we arrived we were not even sure if we were at the right cabin because it was so much more then we expected. We loved exploring around the property on the trails. We have already started to plan a trip back and we can not wait to spend more time here!

Weekend Getaway

We booked 3 nights and had a wonderful long weekend. We fished, kayaked, napped, and just relaxed. Highly recommend this cabin on the lake to anyone seeking a quiet getaway.

Amazing!!!

The place was beautiful, peaceful and do well appointed. We will be back. Our prayers will be going up that God will continue to bless Amy, Jesse and Stillwater Refuge. We highly recommend this is the place to go to disconnect from the daily routine and reconnect to God and family. If there was ten stars we would rate this best of the very best!

Secluded, relaxing stay

The property is truly remote, beautiful, and full of things to do! My bestie and I stayed here for some R&R away from our families. It was quiet, quaint, and an impressive piece of property. The bunkbeds upstairs are incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom has an amazing view of the lake. I’d love to bring my family of 5 here next time, when it’s warmer, to utilize the lake and kayaks. Thanks for a memorable place to stay Jesse!

Great Fishing Weekend

I rented Deer Run with three friends for a guys fishing weekend. The cabin was perfect. It was super clean and right on the water. We were able to fish the whole weekend which is exactly what we were wanting to do. I contacted Amy with a few questions anbout the property and she was quick to respond and provided all the details we needed. We would definitely come back to this great property!

Quaint getaway

We enjoyed the quiet, technology free weekend. The rope swing is a lot of fun. The kids couldn’t get enough of it. The boat is fun to ride around in. Nice bass fishing pond.

Our family spent our third summer in a row here, and it was nothing short of magical! We have four kids ranging from ages 11 to 17, and everyone ejoyed thier time as usual! Zero cell phone service and God's beauty lead to amazing family time! From fishing, kyaking, rope swings, bonfires, and board games, its a place you can never forget, and can't wait to get back to! Our little piece of heaven will always be our favorite family trip!

Amazing place to relax and get away from everything. Jesse is awesome and quick to respond.

Had an amazing time with my wife for Valentine's weekend. This was perfect for what we wanted. Quiet, relaxing and away from everything else. The fishing, kayaking and fire by the beach area was so much fun. Jesse the host was very nice and quick to respond. Absolutely recommended and definitely planning on going back already.

My wife and I met while attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She was a native East Tennesseean that feel in love with Texas and me. Not long after being married, we realized how similar East Texas was to East Tennessee, so we moved. We have been at the ranch for almost 15 years; raising kids and livestock side by side.

Our original and current vision in building Deer Run was to provide a place that nourished the soul and brought healing to family, friends, and visitors alike. Year after year, we continue to fall in love with the beauty around us- abundant wildlife, excellent bird watching, open pasture land, rolling hills to numerous creeks and springs to explore. This peaceful, natural setting has made great family memories for us, especially picking the wild dewberries in late Spring.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Over the years, we have had many customers that repeatedly tell us how restful and quiet our place is. Many have said that it is like coming home; a place where they feel welcome. The cabin on the lake really is the best place on the ranch. You can sit in the rocking chair on the front porch and watch the sunrise while drinking coffee or end the day on the back porch with the sunset. Many kids have spent their days running and jumping off the little pier into the lake or catching perch the size of a dinner plate.

For all you hunters out there: Deer Run is located at Stillwater Refuge which is a hunting ranch and retreat center. Ask about hunts we have available during your stay!!
