Great Getaway

Our stay was fantastic. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and went out of her way to accommodate us. The home was quaint and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our short getaway and it was definitely needed. Would certainly recommend this great place on Lake Wedowee.

Great family getaway!!!

My family of 8 was looking for a long weekend get away and this was perfect place for us. We enjoyed the lake and fishing right off the property dock. Awesome views from the back deck. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back for a longer stay....

Beautiful property

The mile of dirt road there is really well graded, but dusty. The interior of the house is well set up. The deck and other outside seating have breathtaking views. We had 3 couples and 2 singles, so the bedroom setups were perfect.

Great Property

We stayed just before the 4th of July 2022. Everything was great and as described. The house is well laid out and plenty of room so everyone doesn't feel on top of one another. Highly recommend.

Tranquility by the water is a fitting description of the property.

We experienced this property with 2 other couples. There was ample gathering room indoors and outdoors. It was clean and and the decor was lovely. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill was ready to go for our use. They are very accurate in their description of the property and Beth is an awesome host. There were no frustrations experienced here this weekend- only relaxation which allowed for great conversations and wonderful memories. Definitely a great place to stay.

Outstanding, peaceful lake home

We have stayed at numerous vrbo properties over the years but never has the host been as concerned with our comfort and making sure the home met our needs before, during and after the stay. Prior to the official booking, Beth contacted us to answer any questions about the listing and to make sure the home was a good fit. During the stay, she made sure all was OK and asked if there was anything, no matter how small, that needed immediate attention (there wasn't). It was obvious that making sure we enjoyed our stay was her priority. The home is as described - tranquil. We hope to return.

Nice Cabin

This is a nice 4 bedroom 31/2 bath cabin on three levels. The upper level has two bedrooms with a bath. The main level has the master bedroom with attached bath. The main level also has a half bath. The lower level has one bedroom with attached bath. There is a game room also on the lower level. This is a comfortable and spacious cabin with plenty of room for a large family There is a nice gas grill on the deck on the back of the of the cabin. There is a nice patio area just below the deck that has a great view of the lake. It is a great place to watch the sunrise in the mornings coming up over the trees on the island. We made some great photos of the sunrise. There is a nice dock on deep water with chairs down from the cabin. There are a number of stairs to get down to the dock and quite a hike back up to the cabin. Beth is great to work with and is very accommodating. We rented a pontoon boat from her recommendation and were quite pleased with the whole process. We enjoyed our stay at Tranquility on the Water.

Great family vacation!

This was our first stay at Lake Wedowee and the house was perfect for our family. The view of the lake was great! The kids enjoyed skiing, kneeboarding and tubing on the lake. Our four year old granddaughter started every day fishing off the dock and caught so many fish. The kids spent hours jumping off the dock and swimming. We look forward to hopefully returning to this property!!

Wedowee Wow

Beth should offer the TED talk on exceptional VRBO hosting. She was so communicative from initial inquiry until check-out, offering confidence in the entire stay. This was a perfect get-away for us and our adult children to reflect on the year past and cheer in 2022 together.

Tranquility by the Water

Beautiful home. We’ll decorated and comfortable. Plenty of outside seating areas, all with views of the lake. We made the short trip to Cheaha state park and spent the day hiking and enjoying the million dollar view from the highest point in Alabama. We went to the antique malls in Oxford. Our trip was a getaway to relax and we found the perfect spot to do that at tranquility by the water.

Lake to Ourselves

We stayed a full week and it was like we had the lake to ourselves. Beth was great to work with and very informative. We felt like we knew the lake before we arrived. The house is on a great section of the lake with quick access to a marina for gas. Skiing was perfect in front of the dock during the week. Traffic picked up on Saturday but very quiet and peaceful otherwise. The boat dock was perfect and protected our boat from the waves. We brought paddle boards, lots of skis, wakeboard, kayak, multiple tubes... all easily/safely stored at the boat dock. There are a lot of stairs but nothing we couldn't handle. And it's a beautiful view from the house and stone terrace.

Friends lake get away

We had a very enjoyable stay at this very comfortable home. The owner was amazing to work with, she provided all the data we needed and more. The home was very clean and great views. We counted the steps to the lake multiple times...final agreed count 104..but easy enough to handle.
