Denna nya - samtida - stuga ligger i anslutning till vår 65 tunnland husgård och omgiven av över 800 extra tunnland skogsmark. Aktiviteter finns i närheten i Maryland, Somerset, PA och i andra delar av Laurel Highlands. Denna Woodland Cottage erbjuder dig möjligheten att uppleva livet i Appalachian Mountains i en mycket privat miljö. . Stugan ligger inom 10 meter från en bergsbäck och på kanten av en 800 hektar stor skog genom vilken Casselman River och Great Allegheny Passage flödar. (Omgivande fastigheter publiceras.) Ockupanterna serenaderas av ljudet från skogsfågel, paddor, trädkreklar, tjutande coyoter, skällande räv och babbande vatten. Det förhöjda 10 "x 34" däck med utsikt över skogen och bäcken har en sektion på 10 "x 22" under tak som möjliggör "utomhus" -tid även på regniga dagar.
Woodland Cottage har ett fullt utrustat redo att laga kök, matplats med bord och stolar, vardagsrum med lässtolar och gasspis (under säsongen Labor Day helgen fram till Mors dag helgen), den området för närvarande med dagbädd, vi planerar att ersätta den här enheten med en soffa så om du planerar att använda detta som en sovplats - skicka oss en förfrågan.
Hyra är för 2 vuxna i en drottningssäng. Sovrum med queen size-madrass med toppkudde, byrå och garderob.
Stugan är ADA-tillgänglig och badrummet har en stor dusch som är ADA-kompatibel.
Utanför: stort täckt och öppet däck har en matplats, gasgrill, bekväma stolar, matbord med stolar och bänkar - (Memorial Day weekend till Labor Day weekend). Det finns en eldring med träbänkar. Ved till ett lägereld som kommer att pågå flera timmar för varje natt under din vistelse. Ytterligare ved finns tillgängliga mot en rimlig avgift. Två andra rustika bänkar placeras på mer avskilda platser för ensamhet eller privata diskussioner.
Uppvärmning och luftkonditionering finns tillgängliga året efter behov. Vår gasgrill finns på det täckta bakre däck från Memorial Day helgen i maj till och med Labor Day Weekend i september. - Gas spis (Jodel) i vardagsrummet från Labor Day Weekend i september till och med Mother's Day Weekend i maj.

This cozy cabin in the woods was meticulously, tidy, had so many amenities already provided, and we absolutely loved that the birds flocked to their established feeders. If you are looking for a place of peace and a natural retreat, we recommend this place very very highly.

It was a nice place to stay on the last couple of days of our vacation. We especially liked the back deck and the chance to see lots of wildlife from there. (A variety of birds, chipmunks, squirrels, a young raccoon, and a mother deer and her fawn)

Wonderful

We have stayed at the Woodland Cabin many times, it is our go-to for a weekend away from home. Mona and Bryon are very nice people and see to it that everything is there that you might need. Cabin is always spotless, kitchen is fully equipped plenty of movies to watch, books to read. But sitting on the back deck watching the birds, squirrels etc is our favorite activity. Thank you to Mona and Bryon!

Weekend Getaway

This was our 4th time staying at the cottages at Campbell Farm and as always everything was perfect. The hosts are top notch and very responsive. The location and amenities are perfect for a secluded getaway close to Ohio Pyle and numerous other locations nearby. A as always!

The peace and tranquility of the cabin provided us with a much needed break from our daily lives. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders. Although it rained much of the weekend and was unseasonably cold, we were able to go on a long walk on the trails on the property. With so much to do in the area we plan to visit again.

What a perfect, peaceful weekend!

Where do I start?! What a peaceful and perfect weekend. I would do this 365 days a year if I could. What a great spot, immersed in nature. The first night we had a bonfire- we saw 3 planets and plenty of stars in the night sky. Both mornings were spent bird watching- there are so many!!!! What great placement for the feeders. We loved all of the movies, the kitchen, and just how cozy and peaceful ever second was. Thank you so much. We miss it already!

A well-designed cabin and a great place to stay.

We stayed there to visit Falling Waters. It was conveniently located for this purpose. The stay was highly enjoyable both because of the cabin and the warm hospitality extended by the owners. We would go back to hike or just for a getaway.

Private retreat

We had a please stay at this house off the beaten path. The house is clean and well stocked with nature all around you. The host showed us how to make maple syrup at our request!!! We hope to stay at this house again in the future.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We enjoyed our snowy Thanksgiving in cozy and comfortable Woodland Cottage relaxing and watching the birds. Spent quiet time catching up on The New Yorker and The Smithsonian Magazine. The hosts are friendly, helpful and generous. We look forward to our next visit!

Absolutely Perfect!

A friend and I stayed here for two nights while on a fishing trip. This place is extremely quiet, clean, and comfortable. Mona went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay. We accidentally left a pair of pants there after we checked out and left town, and Mona was kind enough to put them in the mail and return them to us. I highly recommend checking this place out if you need to just get away!!!

Great, relaxing place

The peacefulness of this place inside and out cannot be beat. It was nice to be close to the things we wanted to do: hike, bike, and tour around Confluence/Ohiopyle/Meyersdale and yet feel peace and privacy in the woods. Bird watching on the back porch is the best.

Lovely getaway

Lovely weekend getaway with my husband. Great little cottage, clean, back to nature. Enjoyed watching the birds from the covered porch. Everything we needed was there. Great communication with owners. We almost asked to stay an extra night! Very peaceful.

Perfect Space to Calm Your Head

Mona and Bryon have really created a peaceful oasis with this spot. The woods surrounding the house are incredibly lush and have nice, easy to follow, trails. The bird watching is unbeatable on the covered deck. I have stayed in the cottage many many times and have found it exactly the same every time...clean, quiet, and well appointed. Can't wait to come back in the fall!

Another great weekend at the Woodland Cottage!

Another peaceful July 4th holiday. Enjoying watching the birds at the feeders and the coolness of the woods on top of the mountain. Mona and Bryon have created an idyllic place to get away from the work-a-day and disconnect for a few days. The cabin is well equipped with everything that you can possibly need. We have stayed here many times, one of the few places we keep returning to. We have stayed in summer and fall. In January we are going to see what it's like in the winter. We really hope it snows that weekend. Thanks to Mona and Bryon for the cabin. Already looking forward to our return.

Exceptional

My daughter and I can’t say enough positives about our stay at this location. Everything about it was top-notch. Every possible need was anticipated and provided for. The kitchen was supplied to care for every possible cooking and serving need. We loved sitting out on the covered deck overlooking the yard below and the birdfeeders that attracted numerous kinds of birds. We enjoyed the table top gas grill on the deck. The extensive DVD movie collection was a special bonus. All of the furniture was very comfortable. We are already looking forward to coming back again next year.

Hiking Retreat

The cottage was the perfect setting to relax after a day of hiking. The cottage was well equipped and inviting. Centrally located but far enough away to emerse in beautiful woodland retreat. We enjoyed the view from the deck watching many young birds practiced flying close to thier bird house placed high in the tree and saw Cardinals and red winged blackbird at the feeder all while drinking morning coffee on esthic woodland rockers. Rain or shine. Plenty of wood for campfires each night. Pamphlets on attractions, maps, bird identification, and a book on picking the perfect trail were handy as well as a games cards puzzles and extensive collection of DVDs. Host was very accessible and readily helped with suggestions for finding live music. We didnt miss TV and would definately recommend and visit again

My husband (Bryon) and I purchased the James Campbell Farm property (located beside the Woodland Cottage) in 1990 and spent many years restoring the original (1780's) log house as our home. Subsequently we have refurbished all of the farm buildings and added our "glamping" site at our son's favorite camping spot. We have planted 100's of trees (mostly native species), created vegetable, fruit, herb and flower gardens. In addition to raising much of what we eat we cut firewood on our sustainably managed forests -- press apple cider in the fall and early in the year produce woodfired maple syrup from trees on the property.

Bryon and I were excited to have a chance to share our homestead by purchasing the small wooded parcel next to us, rebuilding the cabin, repurposing the pavilion and creating a special place for couples to slow down and recharge. Over the years guests at the "Cottage" (see: Vrbo 322410) and this listing have given us 5 star reviews, we are happy to continue our efforts to make the "Woodland" Cottage a place our guests will love to visit again and again.

This "woodland" cottage is 'tucked' into its very own 'special' spot beside a small stream, in the woods and surrounded by over 800 acres of undeveloped land on our side of Fort Hill Road. (This property is owned and posted by Highlands Land Assoc. LLC) There are 2 cabins on these acres but they are more than a 1/2 mile down Fort Hill Road and the cottage itself feels very private.
There are many types of bird feeders that attract a variety of birds. Flowerbeds attract butterflies. On any given day you might see woodcock, ruffed grouse, wild turkey and white-tailed deer. If you are lucky you might hear a great horned owl, screech owl, or a coyote. The view from deck is forests and mountains as far as the eye can see.
