Charming apartment

I love this apartment. So close to everything, walking distance to the dome and downtown. Beds are very comfortable, stocked kitchen if you feel like cooking,but with so many great restaurants who wants to do that anywaysThis is my second time staying here and Carrie is very receptive to questions or anything you may need. Will definitely be back!!

Charming and convenient

Wonderful stay! Great location, walkable to downtown restaurants and shops. My sister and I loved the charm of this older home. The host was responsive, and helped us out greatly with an unusual request. Would stay again.

Staying in Marquette for the Noque Ski Marathon

The location was perfect, we could walk downtown and also up to 3rd st. Nice quiet neighborhood and on-site parking.

Wonderful stay in lovely home

We had an excellent experience staying in Carrie’s rental property. The house was in great shape with a lot of character and charm. Fully stocked kitchen for meal prep. Close to downtown Marquette and the bike trails. I’d definitely stay here when I return to the area.

Just right for our family's first visit to the U.P.

The property was both very charming and relaxing. My family and I enjoyed the creative decor and comfortable atmosphere in a beautiful home near downtown Marquette. The location was ideal for our day outings to Lake Superior beaches and Pictured Rocks. We highly recommend staying here to experience the beauty and charm of Marquette and the surrounding U.P. We look forward to hopefully staying here again!

Great Location in Marquette

I've stayed in this house twice, it's a great location with lots of room and very comfortable beds and furniture at a good price. I'd give it five stars overall, except the bathroom has no fan and the shower is an old high sided tub with a ring shower curtain that is hard to get in and out of for short people.

Great stay in Marquette

This place was close to downtown bars and restaurants. The house is charming and the beds were amazingly comfortable. I love the quirk of the clawfoot tub and the house was decorated with care. Great place!

This is the cutest apartment! Exactly as described. The beds are so comfortable- one of the best ever in VRBO. We love Marquette and how charming the older homes are. This was perfect and have already booked again for our next trip to Marquette. Thank you Carrie for your prompt responses and notifications about the city ordinance parking enforcement for snow removal.

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Carrie's place is close to everything, it was easy to walk or bike to the lake or places to eat. The apartment was lovely and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. Bonus: seating on the front porch. We'd definitely stay here again!

Perfect fall getaway!

We loved the character of this apartment- it’s so cozy, yet very spacious too! It’s close to so many places to eat and shop- if you like walking, it’s a beautiful walk down to the harbor and marina. Just walking anywhere around Marquette is lovely. The leaves were amazing! So many hiking trails to drive to. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Carrie!

Will stay again.

As advertised; great location, clean, nice linens and other basics, NO old house smell or allergens (I’m sensitive to both), quiet, comfy beds, basic kitchen supplies, plenty of space, good wifi. Good communication w/ host. One specific note for the mobility challenged. The shower is inside the claw foot tub. Getting in and out could be a difficult.

Vintage home with great location

This place gets 5 stars because it’s 100% as advertised. Great location, fast responsiveness of host, clean and all the basics you need. Some good things to be aware of in this vintage/eclectic place as others have stated are that in the bathroom, the claw tub/shower is a bit hard to reach (both for those that are mobility and height challenged) plus there were 3 of us and one bath towel per person for our stay; plenty of wash cloths. For the bedrooms, note there is no A/C or darkening shades. Great bars, bakeries and bike paths nearby. Enjoy!

Avoid during Covid

The property was not cleaned thoroughly after the last use (dirty counters, trash overflowing with beer cans etc.). Because one of our party is a diabetic (and thus in a risk category for Covid), we felt we couldn't stay there. When we asked for a 1/2 refund, we got a snarky response suggesting that we should probably not be travelling and denying the request. Apparently expecting a spotless place - even during the Covid pandemic - is too much to ask.
